Person were very helpful - shopping direct infront of the hotel - shop till you drop. The first room shown - looked outside and directly infron of the Skytrain (very noisy). I really enjoyed my stay at the City Lodge hotel. I mostly was impressed about how central it really is - and easy access to downtown, with shopping directly at your door step. Also, 7 Eleven stores are evrywhere, so you can buy everything including SIM Cards for your cell phone if you need to call home (very practical). The room ar clean and well kept - but make sure you get the room in the back - the front the SKY Train will certainly keep you awake. Breakfast could be better, but you don't have to eat there, plenty of other resturants on the same. All in all a very nice clean and cheap place to stay - I would return for a quick weekend.
Shopping Tip : Suan Luam night market is great - it's a most in your program of places to go.

Location, Location, Location! At the steps of Nana BTS. Close to the BTS/Sukhumvit it is a little noisy. The breakfast that is provided is nonexistent. This the second time I stayed here and I thought I would splurge on the extra money and get breakfast provided. That was a mistake. Yeah your saving only $2, but it's not worth it to get the continental BK. (2 pieces of toast and juice) If you came off the street it would cost you 190B. What a rip off.
Restaurant Tip : Don't bother with the continental bk that comes with the room. Go someplace else and eat. This is a stop over hotel only for me. Don't stay here if you plan on staying a few days in BKK. It's just too noisy.

Near to BTS station, Street busy / night market in front of hotel. Nice place to stay in Room just facing train station, have to draw down curtain everyday Location is good, but hotel entrance seems to be hiding at a corner. There are many restaurants on the busy street and I have try one which serve fresh oysters and they are charge at a very reasonable price.Service staff in hotel were ok and overall I will stay there again on my next trip to Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip : Many restaurants and side walk cafes and all value for money.

If you need a hotel for a brief stop in Bangkok this is your place. Most rooms face the BTS and can be noisy with that and the Sukhumvit road out your window. Just used this hotel for a one night stopover before flying out. It is right at the Nana BTS stop and is very affordable. If you need that last massage before leaving Bangkok this hotel will suffice.
Shopping Tip : Hotel is right at the Nana BTS stop. Street vendors line the street and you can get good deals if you bargin.

It was avery good experience to live in sumkhuvit and i will recommand my friend to have that oppurtunity to experience what i went through and i will definitivelly going to come back.
Shopping Tip : A very good location for sightseeing and window shopping

The location is ideal for both shopping on the street market and plenty of excellent eating establishments nearby. The sky train station is right outside your door, so easy to get around the city. all in all city lodge is a great place to stay in Bangkok.
No internet connection at the hotel. City Lodge hotel is one of the best for location in the NANA District and on Suhmkivit Road- with no exceptions. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant from front desk to housekeeping. I stayed for 3 days and then departed and returned for another 3 days and it wwas if I had never left.
Shopping Tip : It is close to reasonable eating establishments and is right on the SkyTrain system. You get off the train at the Nana station and you are literally staring into the 3rd floor windows of the hotel. Walk down the stairs and you're virtually at the front door.

Great pos. Close to skytrain, friendly staff, clean rooms, good italian restaurant in house. In my room i did have a small problem with the aircon. They offered me to change the room. For me it is a great hotel to stay for a few days, easy to access sukhumvit road and the rest of bangkok, will stay there again.
Shopping Tip : Also great to go out at night, everything within walking distance.

Close to the BTS, right out the front door and friendly staff Older Decor. No parking for taxi drop off. The hotel is located very close to the BTS, right out the front door. This makes getting around bangkok quick and easy and cheap. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The hotel is around the entertainment districts so you don't have to go far to eat or enjoy the night.

The location is tremendous, the staff attentive & courteous, the rooms large & pleasant, toiletries provided most-generous... and it was "CLEAN". Also, there is an elevator. Though I'd requested rooms on the 'quiet-side' of the hotel, only "ONE" of the three-rooms I'd purchased was on the 'NON-Sukhumvit" side. And although the curtains are quite thick, the traffic-sounds (street & BTS) were an annoyance that I'd preferred NOT to have. Our stay (3-persons / 3-rooms) at the City Lodge (Soi 9) was excellent, & we will be there again 10-13 May. I have stayed on Sukhumvit Soi sip et (11) for 30+ years, so this was a major change. The hotel was excellent in all respects, though the 'traffic-noises' can be a little loud on the 'Sukhumvit-side' of the hotel. Also, it's very-easy to 'miss/walk-by' the hotel-entrance, as the front is 'dark' & relatively non-descript. Also, the 'entrance-steps' are a bit short & steep. So... when walking along Sukhumvit... it may help to be "looking-up"... to notice the blue-&-white City Lodge sign.
Nightlife Tip : For nightlife-minded travellers (bars), both Soi Nana & Soi Cowboy (Soi 19) are nearby. And shopping in the merchandise-packed stalls along Sukhumvit is fun, though sometimes chaotic. For food, while everyone has something different in mind, you can safely-eat from most of the 'mobile-food vendors'. But ALWAYS... be sure to drink bottled-water... or beer/soft-drinks. And bring some Imodium AD... just in case. And plan on a shopping-trip to MBK (Ma Boon Krong) department store... which is where all the Thais shop.

location,location,location another hotel i have now stayed at three times and am very happy with. rooms are of a good size and maintained very well.skytrain is on your doorstep so easy to get around bkk.if you want a late drink or bite to eat street vendors are outside your door and are serving into the early hours.really everything you need for a short stopover in bkk is within grabbing distance.

the hotel is right at the Nana SkyTrain stationwhich makes it very conventient. it's clean, it's air conditioned and is on a happening street. the hotel is raght at the Nana SkyTrain station which makes it noisy. the room smelled very smoky I've stayed at the City Lodge Soi 9 four times starting in 2004. Each time I've been met with an attentive staff and a room that's clean and a bed that's comfortable. It is close to reasonable eating establishments and is right on the SkyTrain system. You get off the train at the Nana station and you are literally staring into the 3rd floor windows of the hotel. Walk down the stairs and you're virtually at the front door.

Excellent location to all the amenities that lower sukhumvit has to offer, friendly helpful staff, clean well presented rooms, only minutes from the bts rail system. No wifi, no in-room safe. Great value for money plus close location to the fun areas of this part of bangkok. Street stalls just 5m from the front entrance on sukhumvit road. Room was the cheapest but was large enough to be perfectly comfortable. Shower was good with plenty of hot water, no internet was slight inconvenience.
