Great accomodation with very large rooms and quality fittings and bathroom. There is 24 hours superstore and restaurant next door. The staff are efficient and helpful. It is on a quet road away from the crowds and yet within walking disctance of the main facilities.

None.

This is now the only place I stay in whilst in BKK. I really like the large size of the accomodation, the balcony and the bathroom. It is a place where one feels comfortable. The superstore and the restaunt next door that both work 24 hours is very handy indeed.

Excellent views of the park! Guest Rating: 8.7

Park view rooms offer nice views of the park! My room rate included free internet access in the room. There was a partial kitchettene, and a refridgerator in the room. Also, there was a washer and dryer in the bathroom, which made it extremely convenient to get my clothes cleaned.

The pool was beautiful, but not very inviting. You have to walk through the ballroom in order to access the pool. Also, you need to bring your room towel, as no pool towels were available.

The hotel is located in Sukhumvit Soi 16, and is within walking distance to Asoke Skytrain and Sukhumvit subway (less than 10 minutes). It is located next to a 24-hour supermarket which makes it easy to grab snacks and drinks even late in the night. There is also a small "diner-style" restaurant that operates 24 hours at the supermarket, that offers good food at decent prices. If you're coming down Sukhumvit Road you can see the huge red sign for the "Long Table Bar" plastered on the outside of the building.

Hotel Feature Tip : The washing machine takes about 1 hour to do a simple wash (detergent provided). And the dryer another 40 minutes to an hour to dry the clothes. So plan ahead, if you want to get some clothes washed.

It was a pain in the Neck (and back) Guest Rating: 7

Hotel is centrally located for business people but not for shopping. Hotel is only two years old and so the decor and fittings are excellent for a four star hotel but it's definitely not five star Staff are very friendly and Helpful

Mattresses are too hard!

Asian hotels are reknown for hard mattresses. Some are as hard as a plank of wood. I was promised a soft mattress at this hotel so i book their 3 night special. But everything is relative. And so what Asians describe as soft is considered rock hard by westerners. The mattress was so uncomfortable that I did not sleep well at all and ended up with a sore lower back and neck. Any money i saved on the three night special, I spend on Thai massages for my back. Suggest that you don't spend Bt250 for the weak breakfast buffet on the 25th floor but go down to the Foodland cafe next door for a Bt60 American breakfast or similar amount for Asian. Five minutes walk to Sukhimvit subway station and the Asok skytrain. Trains are faster than taxis in Bangkok (even for short distances) as Bangkok's horrific traffic jams makes road travel a nightmare.

Restaurant Tip : Very close to Soi 11 which is where all the high end western cuisine restaurants and bars are located with equally foreigner prices on the menu. Be prepared to pay Bt400 for a main course here whilst the locals eat for Bt50-100 in non tourist areas. Great area for those who come to Thailand not to experience local life but to get the same western style lifestyle they got back home.
