The hotel is a traditional Thai hotel with beds on the floor, rooms spacious, good size wet room, free wifi a bonus and a great rooftop pool & bar.
The location is great as my son wanted the nightlife and it was right on the door step with the market & plenty of restaurants. Had the bonus of free wifi.
Rooms very reasonable for standard of hotel.
Only problem we had my son had his credit card stolen and we had to report it to the bank however the phone in room wouldn't connect and before finishing the dialling a thai voice comes on and cuts you off, we tried several times without success however got charged for all the calls. We ended up calling from the internet cafe attached to hotel and cost 35 baht for duration of call which was very cheap for calling uk.
If you want a quiet area and plush hotel this is not the area to stay , we have stayed in several plush hotels in Bangkok but always find travelling around from them are out the way, the Dang Derm is right in the nest of Busy Bangkok we loved it.
Shopping Tip:
The market outside is great for picking up bargains.

the location was great, Khao San Rd is one of Bangkoks main tourist attractions its great to see. The hotel is probably the best you will find in the area but it isn't the best hotel. They have a great pool though, their service needs improving but other than that i was satisfied with the stay.
Worth its money
Nightlife Tip:
Great nightlife just out the door, the place is buzzing with tourists everywhere!

Worth the money for its room and location

Stayed for a night at D&D hotel.
Hotel is just above the famous khao san road where all the happening takes place there.
Nice room with unique floor mattress. Worth the price for a low end hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is very near to Phra Arthit Pier where you can take the Chao Phra express boat to most of the temples and attractions along the river. A boat ride coast ard 15baht. To locate the pier, just use google map to find it.

Comfortable hotel in Khaosan Road, Bangkok

When you are looking for a comfortable hotel for a reasonable price in the middle of the busy Khaosan Road, Dang Derm is a good choice. The rooms are comfortable with a very convenient bathroom. The breakfast is simple, but good enough to postpone your lunch for a few hours.
However, you can´t escape completely from the loud music on the street in your room. But if you are looking for a quiet place in Bangkok, you should´t visit this area at all.
For visiting Khaosan area this hotel is a perfect starting point.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The downside of a hotel in this area is transportation, but the hotel cant help it. taxi and tuktuk drivers try to rip you and there isnt a metro-subway close to the hotel. But with a small walk you can reach the river and take the public boat service. For a few Bath you can reach the parts of Bangkok with the touristic attractions.

Hotel in the Heart of Kho San Road!
Location if you want to be in the midst of the nightlife & excitement of the Street

Great central hotel for Kho San Road, and good service etc. Good value for money, but room a bit dark.
Breakfast average, but again for the price good to have included - but warning does end by 9.30 am!
Can be very noisy as partying goes on until around 5.30 am - and you can't avoid hearing it ....
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bangkok fab for exploring - loads of great places to see Wat Arun one of our favourites!

Great place on Khaosan Road

This was my second time on Khaosan Road and this hotel was the best. The pool on the roof is beautiful and not too buzy. The food at the resto near the pool was excellent. The rooms were charming with an oriental decor. Beautiful place.
