great design attentive staff

none..except location might seem a bit far for people who want to be immersed in a tourist spot

loved our stay..this was our second stay. great staff. Got upgraded to a deluxe room on the ninth floor as the room we got it had a sink problem. left my wallet on the bed when i went to the roof top pool..when i came back a letter was on my bed from the manager stating that they have put my wallet in the room safe for me during the room cleaning. How nice.

Shopping Tip : There is a supermarket close to the hotel..and also some affordable massage spots.

Quiet, posh surroundings without the high price.

Location - a bit out of the main tourist area of Sukumvit.

A character filled boutique hotel with all the amenities and ultra large rooms. Full glass wall between bedroom and bathroom a plus for the naughty at heart. Style without high price. Very quiet and clean street compared to other Soi in Sukumvit.

Restaurant Tip : Don't get into taxi of touts near hotel, especially if they recommend a restaurant. Sure to get ripped off at restaurant with bumped up prices (seafood) - turn left at hotel entrance and head to main road, turn left at petrol station and walk 200metres for good seafood at low prices instead.

Nice rooms, good location near Emporium.

Small gym, restaurants & bar empty at night.

This is a top 4 star option in the Sukhmuvit area. The rooms are to a nice standard with modern, clean bathrooms and decent design. The mattress could be a bit more comfortable though. The pool area is small and a bit cramped as is the gym; however. The hotel also seemed very quiet at night with few or no patrons at the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was busier though the buffet was barely average. Overall, a pleasant, clean stay at a good price.

Shopping Tip : Make sure to go to the upper floors of the Emporium for the Thai design shops.

clean and nice customer service. best location to stay, they have tuk-tuk to the sky train station.

Spa service close early.

This is my 2nd time to stay with them. I stay different building this time. I really like both time. Furniture and room interior are so nice and relax. Bathtub and shower separate. and they had a beautiful postcards and brochure in the room for the guests. Front desk people speaks good English.

Charming, clean, fancy, a good location. What you expect from a classy hotel with a big price tag.

None

The Davis is a so-called boutique hotel - whatever that means I'm not sure but it is really nice and I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Bangkok and concerned about any budgetary restrictions and by that I mean you are paying for the high standards. The rooms are great, bathrooms are immaculate, swimming pool is small but clean. The gym was small as well and there isn't that much equipment.

Shopping Tip : Emporium and the Sky Train are a ten minute walk down Soi 24 or you can take the free Tuk Tuk provided by the hotel.

Atmosphere, Staff, Location

Location

The room was very nice and big looking. The service by all the staff the fast and courteous. For the people who like a quieter less busy surrounding, this is a smart choice; however, it is definitely not walking distance from the main attractions. There are restaurants and shops in the neighborhood though. Overall, a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

Fashion design. Also has a lot of different suits to choose.

The food is not very good.

We spent 2 nights here. We love this hotel. We lived in west ring. And also have the new year party here. A good experience. Very suitable for everyone to chose this hotel. And very close to wonderful SPA "Herbal Association" and a lovely restaurant called "lemon grass". Shopping is also good. Close to a lot of hypermarkets. Here also has Starbucks!

Shopping Tip : Turn left, you can find Carrefour, Tesco and Lotus. Turn right, you can find the wonderful massage store "Herbal association" and lovely restaurant "lemon grass".

Prime location. It is located in the heart of BKK. It is very easy to go anywhere. The facilities are perfect.

There is no sauna. The parking lots are another building when it rained you may get wet.

For this time at Davis, it was a great time. When I was stepped in, the reception was well greeting. I really impressed the room; the furniture was nice in details but small space to walk around. I did stop by the fitness center and spa, there is a space beside the pool the sit and sip a wine.

Very modern, great part of town.

Very pricey internet, leaky shower.

My wife and I stayed here on the last leg of our trip and or the most part, we were pleased. We like the part of town it is in, walking distance to the Sky train and Sukhumvit, as well the big Toei food market and Ram IV so getting around is easy. The rooms were sleek and modern with a great sunken bathtub and comfortable beds. The pool is beautiful, and, for those interested, there is a free shuttle that takes you to the Sky train if you are in a hurry. However, there are a few things that we had not encountered on our travels that we were surprised by in a hotel of this quality - and we had stayed at both ends of the spectrum. One, the "king" bed we had confirmed booking for was actually two twins (or maybe doubles) simply pushed together with a king size fitted sheet pulled over them. Two, there is internet use in the rooms and business center - but it starts at 300 baht for only an hour! And, that timer starts the first time you log in. No logging out and saving your time for later - once you log in, that hour starts running and it doesn't matter if you use 5 minutes or 50. 3, and probably most surprising, was that there was a noticeable leak along the seal of the shower at the bottom - easily remedied with a floor mat, but dangerous nonetheless. The staff is friendly and polite - its those little things though that take a place from being merely average to great.

Shopping Tip : Especially for those who really want to see a Thai food market - head out of the hotel to Ram IV, cross the street and make a right. Within 7 or 8 minutes you will find one of Bangkok's biggest food markets, Khlong Toei. It is open every day and here you will find it all on display.

very nice hotel, helpful staff.

it is a little bit far from the city center.

One of the best hotel we have stayed in, very helpful staff, nice swimming pool, excellent rooms, very comfortable and modern, close to emporium shopping center and a very nice supermarket is close by, the only problem is the hotel distance from city center, it is around 10 stations away from city center, also the best seafood restaurant of Bangkok is located in the same area.

Shopping Tip : close to emporium shopping center.

Studio room is spacious, great room amenities, friendly and helpful staff, and good location.

Carpet in the room looks very dirty, hotel charges for late check-out even when not fully occupied.

My family and I had a great stay at the Davis hotel in Bangkok. We spent two nights there. I found the room quite spacious and well equipped. I was particularly impressed with their amenities, like the bed slippers, bathrobes, etc. I was happy with the location of the hotel because along the main street you can find a lot of massage parlors. The hotel also offers a free 'tuk tuk' ride to the Emporium Shopping mall. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the concierge desk. The only thing I was disappointed with was the carpet inside the room. It looked old and dirty. The hotel could maybe consider getting them removed.

Travel tip : The Thai Herb Association next to the Emporium Shopping mall. Great place for a massage!

good breakfast / pool / reasonable price

I have stayed at the Davis before and was in a much better room. I felt like I was in a very old wing of the Hotel that had not been aired. It smelt of damp and cockroach repellent so was disappointing this time. i would reconsider staying again.

As above I felt the room itself was dilapidated, it smelt of mould / damp and felt very dated which was strange as I did have a good stay at the Hotel last year so I thought I must have been in a poorer part of the Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was quite good, although we had to pay extra for that.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Everything is within reasonable distance of the Hotel, we enjoyed Suan Luam Night Bazaar which is approx 10 - 15 mins away.

great staff, good location, received a free upgrade!

Air con was very loud and the room smelled slightly when you first entered.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Davis. the staff were extremely helpful. we also used their limo service to collect us from the airport and it was a great service. their free tuk tuk rides were also handy. Breakfast each day was great and on the day we checked out, they let us continue to use to rooftop pool which was very relaxing and a great location.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We did a 4 hour bicycle tour of Bangkok with ABC (Amazing Bangkok bicycle tours) which is located only one street away from the hotel. It was a great way to see the "real" Bangkok with rides through the slums and the jungle over the river. Well worth it.

Very large room

Quite a walk to the Sukhumvit Road end of the soi

We stayed at the Davis just a week after Bangkok airport reopened. Perhaps for that reason the hotel seemed to have very low occupancy. That wasn't a problem for us as we got an upgrade to a better room in the main building rather than a studio in the wing. Our room was large, well-furnished and comfortable. We had minimal contact with the staff other than checking in and out but they were pleasant and courteous

Shopping Tip : there's a big ex-pat supermarket just over the road. Buy drinks and snacks there rather than using the minibar
