The room was simply gorgeous. We were really satisfied with this hotel. (A minor complaint) The plug of the bathtub did not work. We asked to fix it and they seemed to try to fix it. But during our stay of three days, it was not fixed. We really enjoyed the stay for three nights. The room was sufficiently spacious, calm and well equipped. The furniture is also seemed to be carefully chosen to match with this calm room. Staffs were very friendly and kind, representing typical Thai hospitality. The quality of breakfast was excellent. We are sure that we will choose the same hotel on our next visit at Bangkok.
Shopping Tip : Conveniently located to a supermarket TOPS and a shopping complex Emporium.

A nice hotel with good amenities. The location is in a part of town that is away from a lot of things to do. The place is located in a part of town that is a bit outside of where everything else is. There are a few western style eateries nearby, but it's a ways from the skytrain. Not a bad hotel, just okay.

I love the bathroom, it is very big.
There was very little staff at night. I like the room, especially the bathroom, it is very big. Average of the hotel was good. I can go to the shopping center, like Siam Paragon, Emporium or Central World easily. The hotel is not far from BTS, but I need to ask for the hotel bus to drop me at the BTS station.

The hotel is beautifully maintained, staff are courteous and helpful with excellent communication skills. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Fab bathrooms!! Bleach from pool dyed my friend's clothes so beware of that!
The Davis hotel really lived up to its good reputation. From the moment you arrive you are looked after with courtesy and smiles.It is large enough to feel busy and lively but small enough to retain its character and personal touch. The rooms,although a tad dark, were attractive and well maintained. We slept like logs on the comfortable beds!
It is a great place to base yourself at, with an easy shuttle ride to the skytrain, and provides a cosy haven to return to when you have shopped yourself silly.

Good quality rooms; excellent food; good staff in general The hotel is in an awkward location, a 'tuk-tuk' is provided each 20 minutes to the Emporium Shopping Mall, this is a one-way shuttle! The bell staff are adamant about this system and do not seem at all flexible. One very minor point - there is no tea/coffee facility in the rooms, it has to be purchased through room service.

Elegant, modern style.
Excellent service.
Great neighborhood. 15 minute walk to the skytrain. The elegant modern style of this boutique hotel is matched perfectly with the friendly but unobtrusive service. Set in a trendy neighborhood with excellent amenities (Starbuck's, a great supermarket, the Davis is an oasis of cool in bustling Bangkok. the only drawback to the Davis is the 15 minute walk to the skytrain. The hotel offers a classy tuk-tuk shuttle every 30 minutes and the walk is along a nice street with an excellent street food vendors area, so it can be an interesting experience. however, if you are using the skytrain frequently, the walk can get a bit annoying.
All in all, the Davis is an excellent hotel for tourists and businesspeople alike and offers style, comfort and solid service in a great neighborhood.
Shopping Tip : The market just around the corner from the hotel offers ready made salads, sandwiches and a range of Asian dishes. Wine, beer and booze are all reasonably priced. The street vendors offer a wide range of dishes along the walk to the skytrain.

the design and decoration . globally the sensation
of feeling well in this place . the breakfast at the davis might purpose a better quality for the products like pastries . as well my departure from the hotel was very early at morning (03.23) and it was impossible to get a bill. I expect one month to get the bill
by post in my home (FRANCE) after asking two times I enjoyed very much my stay in davis hotel last november . as I know a lot about BANGKOK because I used to stay many times ,and I experimented different kinds of hotels and gusthouses as well for holidays or job . davis hotel has a wonderfull garden pool around coconut trees and thai traditional houses in the heart of Bangkok , the design inside the rooms and the rest of the hotel
( particularly the davis corner )the quietness of the place and the kindness of the staff .

Nice rooms, pool areas so beatiful with a wonderful design,nice people everywhere, many small details to make the guests feel good. I can´t understand why you can find almost everything in the room except a waterboiler. There is a microwave oven and a CD-player but you can´t make coffee or tea. The Davis hotel is located a bit away from shopping areas and other things that you might be interested in when in Bangkok. But that is not a problem. The people who work outside the hotel is doing all that they can to help guests. They explain to taxi drivers and help us with everything.If you take a taxi it will only take some minutes to the nearest skytrain station.
To spend some time at one of the pool areas is special. Everything is so well designed and beautiful. A very nice hotel!
Travel tip : The Emporium (big department store) is very close with taxi.

Comfortable, clean, friendly service. Bedding, especially pillows could be better. Internet should be cheaper. I have stayed at the Davis many times and reckon it to be one of the best value hotels in Sukhumvit. The basic room rate is reasonable but you do get stung on things like internet and mini bar which is annoying. Rooms are comfortable for tourists, and main wing ok for business traveler. Location a little out of the way but free shuttle and taxis are plentiful. All in all I like it but do get annoyed about the internet.
Shopping Tip : Cheap beer etc. at TESCO around corner.

Location location location!!!! Courtesy transfer to the local BTS. Rooftop swimming pool. Great sized rooms. Everything about the hotel is wonderful, including the very helpful staff. None that I can think of - the hotel is a great facility. Everything from the location, to the size of the rooms, the staff, the swimming pool, the inhouse facilities, the courtesy tuktuk transfer to the local BTS, this hotel has it all!!! I love staying here, and albeit that I'm not as frequently in Bangkok as I'd like to be, I make this my home away from home almost every time I visit. It's a great hotel with a great vibe. Have been staying here for years and will continue to do so well into the future.

Really cool place.
Modern + Classic feel.
Nice ambiance in and outside the hotel.
Location bit far from market place, but its a good walk to reach BTS. We stayed in a large and a nice THAI style design room and it was decent, loved the bathroom.
Breakfast is decent.
Couldn't visit the spa, but looks good and typical Thai style.
Value for money.

Great rooms, very large and modern with a fantastic bathroom. It is in a great location for shopping and going out but not so good for sight seeing. Very good, excellent value for money. I would stay here again unless my main itinerary was sightseeing and then I would stay nearer the river so I could use the ferries which are, in my opinion, the best form of transport in Bangkok.
Nightlife Tip : Go for a cocktail on the 64th floor of the Bangkok State Tower.

Close to everything, but far enough to be away from it all. I loved the breakfast...yes a little pricey, if $13 is pricey. Pool is wonderful! I didn't really have any. The Pool and hot tub is wonderful and scenery was nice too. I felt it was reasonably priced and a wonderful stay for my 3 days.
I didn't really have any problems with the Hotel or billing.

Good price, nice friendly, helpful staff, good location. Even with 3 AM checkout they were alert and helpful. Would like to have kettle and tea/coffee in the room. With different check in places (corner and main hotel) it was a bit confusing for a first-timer. The Davis Hotel is refreshingly different from other hotels I know in Bangkok. It has a varied selection of room types. I was in a Studio Room in the Corner Wing and it was nice, clean and adequate for my needs. I would have preferred to make tea/coffee as I had to get up very early (0230 hours) to catch my flight and would have benefitted from the caffeine. The location is very good, close to Starbucks, Au Bon Pain, the market and other shops. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and went out of their way to help me.
Hotel Feature Tip : Know which part of the hotel your room will be in, to make check in and arrival procedures easier.
