Good clean and safe hotel near Patpong
Safety, clean and wonderful staff!
8.3
For anyone looking for a comfortable, clean and safe 4-star hotel near Patpong area, De Arni is hard to beat. It offers good clean room for a very good price. The staff are always very attentive and warm. The security guard takes care of my car which was parked outside. Though the car park is rather small, I can always leave my car there with a peace of mind knowing that it is well look after. As a regular guest now, they remember my name, provide VIP service to me and always have a lovely warm smile and greetings for me. Thank you, De Arni for your warm hospitality!

Not expensive, but clean hotel
8.7
The hotel has good location. In the middle of Bangkok, but actually not noisy at all. The price of the hotel is not expensive. The hotel is good for business traveller and for tourists as well. The attraction as night market just opposite the road. There is not far the underground station. There is a lot of embassies around, so if you are planning visit the embassy for example Myanmar, it is good choose due to Bangkok has very busy road during all days long.

Hotel could do with a makeover
Well located for night-life.
6.3
I stayed for 2 nights in Jan 2013. I chose this hotel because of its convenient location to the skytrain and night-life.
On arrival, I noticed that certain features were rather shabby and worn. This is surprising because the hotel is only 5 years old. The rug under the table in the reception was covered with fluff and dust. The edges were clean but no one had cleaned under the table.
Check in was straightforward but a single traveller has to sign a form agreeing to pay 500 baht per night if a visitor is taken into the room. A European couple checking in at the same time had to pay 500 baht per night because they had mistakenly only put 1 person on their booking.
I was given the key to my room, but on arrival I found that there was a person lying on the bed and the room had not been cleaned or made up. The person was the cleaner who was having a rest. I was relocated to another room across the corridor.
The room was a good size with a large bed which was comfortable. The bathroom had a bath with a shower above it. Toiletries were supplied. The main light in the bathroom did not work. I reported this but it had not been rectified by the time I left.
The safe in the room would not open. Since I arrived on a Sunday, it would have cost 500 baht to get someone to open it. (There is no charge on other days between certain hours).
Tea / coffee making facilities are provided free and there is a minibar. 2 free bottles of drinking water are supplied daily.
The room was rather shabby. Some furniture was chipped or scratched and there were dirty marks on the walls. The edges of the floor and the corners of the room were grubby and dusty. The cleaning was not of the highest standard.
The carpet in the corridor outside the room had a number of large dirty marks on it and the carpet in the lift needed renewing. The edges of the corridors were dusty and grubby.
I did not use the fitness room, but I was told it was ok.
Overall, I would choose a different hotel next time.

Love, love, love
Great service and I always feel safe here
7.7
I have always love staying in this hotel. There is nothing much to dislike about it. It's not a 5 star hotel, or even 4 star. But for the price you pay, you have a comfortable, clean and quiet place to stay and where you always feel welcome. The ever polite pretty receptionists, the bellboy who will rush to press the lift for you, the helpful and humble car valet, etc. Will always return, again and again.

Great location, friendly staff, overall Ok
Great location, good sized rooms
6.7
Good value, affordable mid-range rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a decent size (not a tiny box) but some attention to detail needed (moldy, plastic bathmats in tubs, stained/worn furniture). Also had tiny, biting ants in the room (the management responded quickly and sprayed but they came back -a minor problem but still irritating).
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of good restaurant options on both Suriwong and nearby Silom. In particular, try the 'Mango Tree' restaurant nearby on Soi 6 between Suriwong and Silom for upscale but authentic Thai food in a nice garden setting.
