many free things in the room Staff could be friendlier. Showers work, but could be better. Internet is expensive. At a very reasonable price, especially through Agoda.com, I always stay at the Hotel De Moc near Koah Sarn Rd. when in Bangkok. The rooms are large and clean, the bed comfy, free coffee and bottle water, HBO and a tasty free breakfast buffet for two. They even have at times pool parties with free drinks and food. I highly recommend this hotel.

Sehr gute Lage in der Nähe der Khaosan Road, tagsüber kostenloser Tuk-Tuk-Service zur Khaosan. Man kann aber auch 10 Minuten laufen. Seveneleven gleich ums Eck. Sehr freundlicher Service, gutes Frühstück, saubere Zimmer, Swimmingpool. Passt auf, dass ihr immer ein Zimmer mit Blickrichtung Pool bekommt, denn die Zimmer zur Straße sind höllisch laut. Der gesamte Verkehr von Bangkok fährt durch dein schlecht isoliertes Zimmer. Diese Zimmer werden anscheinend nur vermietet, wenn das Haus voll ist, dementsprechend schlecht schauen sie auch aus. Das warme Wasser geht dann nicht, die Aircon lässt sich nicht regulieren und dann dieser ewige Lärm auch nachts. Das Wasser vom Pool ist zwar sauber, brennt aber sehr in den Augen. Gutes Mittelklassehotel, gut zum relaxen, wenn man ein Zimmer zum Pool hat ist alles wunderbar. Excellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Absolute Empfehlung!!

it's near the highway, so it has a little noisy in the night. Hotel is a little far away from the Khaosan Road(15 minutes), but they have shuttle bus take you there for freee; while when you come back you have to take the tuk-tuk by yourself;Though the people is not bad, but when check out, there is nobody to take the luggage,we feel a little frustrated.Anyway it still good to stay

It is definetely not a 3 star standard hotel.Even though the rooms(and not all of them from what i saw)are big enough in general the hotel looks old and needs repair at common areas such as corridors.The staff is not always helpful and they charged us even for a call they made to change our flight.The massage in the hotel was ok but i'm sure you can find cheaper massages around.The location is ok.
Travel tip : If you want a taxi or tuk tuk just get off the hotel and stop one yourself otherwise they will definetely charge you more.

I've stayed in at least 15 places in Bangkok over the years, and this one is like my city home to me, so I've stopped shopping around... it's quiet enough to feel like a refuge in crazy Bangkok, and with their free tuk-tuk to Khao San, or having them call a cab for you, you can get anywhere in town easily. The clientele leans toward business people and families, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The hallways are a bit run-down but the rooms are clean and simple, showing a bit of age, but a great value for the money (at least if you book ahead, the walk-in rate is much higher).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The free tuk-tuk to Khao San Road takes you to the bargain shopper's mecca, and you can go to their sister hotel, Buddy Lodge, to get it back again.

Wasn't satisfied with the first room because there were ants on the table after one day, so got changed to a second room, which was nicer, and newer. however unlike the first room, the second room had a solid wall instead of a balcony so there wasn't any view. Shower wasn't working properly but got it fixed after a few calls. Staff understands limited English.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of tourist traps! Some ppl on the street (actually tuk tuk agents) will tell you the place you want to go to is closed and persuade you to take their tuk tuk to other places, where you will be taken to some gem/silk stores where the tuk tuk drivers will take the commissions.

This is my first time in this hotel.. I was happy with the environment...
I was lucky to be aguest on a free party on the pool, organised by for all guests... This was a nice touch from the hotel management...
Will certainly go back again...
