I arrived to Diamond House for a stay of two nights. It is a modest but a good hotel overall, very close to the Khao San so it really worked out to me. The only problem with the hotel is that the superior rooms have two separate beds and this data was not known to me until me and my girlfriend entered the room.
Small hotel, warm treatment, very nice staff.
Not so good maintenance.
nicely styled, room slightly lacking though.

the staff was friendly and was helpfull in writing directions in Thai for tuk tuk drivers. the hotel looked really nice on the inside, which is a noveltly in the otherwise run-down style of the Kaosan area. I've been to Bangkok 4-5 times and this was the nicest ive been at - and at a reasonable price. the rooms need a few improvements as the problems can really annoy. but I'd still go back there, though, as the price is decent and the location is convenient.
nice style, close to Kaosan area. staff was friendly and very good value for money
2 main problems: there is a shelf for the light near the bed but it protrudes right into the bed area. its hard to picture it but when you bump into when you turn around in your sleep - it HURTS! 2- the A/C drains into the bathroom so it creats an annoying dripping sound all night long. shame - it was a really nice looking room

Good location. Look further than going to Khaosan Road as there is a lot of better well priced restaurants in the streets close by that provide a better atmosphere.

The hotel was small but good. It was a great location for visiting temples and the Grand Palace. It was nice for a few days, but probably not so great for a longer stay.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you walk 5 minutes towards the River you can catch the Express boat to sights like the Grand Palace and Wat Po for about 40 baht.
We travelled during Songkran (New Year) which I would not recommend unless you really enjoyed being accosted 24 hours a day by strangers pouring buckets of ice water down your back and smearing flour paste on your face, hair and clothes.

This hotel is so nice. Staying here with the friendly staff, you will feel like you are at home. Even those in the higher range and more expensive can't compete with this hotel !
Our whole gang rate it as 98%! We all like it very much!
- Shopping Tip : Only 10 minutes walk to Khaosan Road and 10 min "Tuk-Tuk" to Grand Palace.

Should not stay too long here because it is noisy, but good location near Khaosan and beautiful room.
- Nightlife Tip : Close to Khaosan, tuk tuk, accommodations, restaurants and shops. Near Chinatown and Chao Phraya. Though location noisy, the hotel, staff and accommodation were pretty good.
There are better hotel options in the city!

The price for this hotel was not too bad, but considering that Bangkok has so many other options in the same price range, I would definitely not come back to this hotel. There are so many better choices! It was good that we were only at this hotel for one night.
- Hotel Feature Tip : If you need to grab a quick bite and surf the Internet, this hotel is good for that.
