Location-location-location This is an old hotel, but it is located in a very strategic location. If you like going around, especially @ nite, this is one of the best hotel around. Other amenities are what you expect from 5 stars hotel, although its aging, everything is still in good working order. Clean and nice. Staffs are very helpful. Would definitely come back, or recommend to others.
Nightlife Tip : The best hotel to be if you like the nightlife in silom area, no hassle of travelling back to your hotel @ nite. just walk back in. Good location, Good security.

Great atmosphere, high-class service Doors of the rooms are very difficult to open. The Dusit Thani Bangkok is one of the best hotels in Thailand. I keep coming back to this hotel, whenever I am in Thailand for business or leisure. It is located right on the main Silom street. 2 minutes walk from the Pat Pong night market and all other attractions.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Since I have seen almost everything in Bangkok, I took some time to explore the Jim Thompson house. I truly recommend visiting there. It is located on the opposite side of the MBK shopping center and it costs only THB 100 per person.

spacious rooms and toilets, well-maintained and cleaned each time we returned. All hotel staff were friendly, eager to help in giving directions, polite. Close proximity to the rail. Even had roadside stalls operating just a walk away, albeit very early in the morning. Encountered problems with the tap in the long bath. Bedroom slippers were not replaced. My extended families and mine thoroughly enjoyed our stay there during their promotional period. It was great value for money at S$87 per night. We were greatly impressed by the warm hospitality of all the staff there - especially Ono, the Japanese front desk staff. We requested for changes in the room all within a short span of an hour and she acceded to our request so willingly and even accompanied us to our room each time. When we didn't know our way around, their staff were always willing to give directions and even suggested the various modes of transport. I would certainly recommend this hotel to all my friend and book myself in there for future visits.

Location, standard, service. Stayed for a few days in a great room. The hotel is situated very close to many shops, transportation, nightlife and attractions. Big hotel with renowed service and standard. Pool area is great, roomservice quick and tasty. Many restaurants within the hotel, tho they tend to be in the higher pricerange. Highly recommended!I will come back.

there is no DVD or music player. i arrived to this hotel cause the great location. very close to the Lumpini park, Petpong and the Suan Lum night bazar and also few metters from the metro and the sky train.
the staff helpfull like everywhere that i have been in Thailand.
but the the old rooms dont have a music or DVD player something very basic in Bangkok hotels so you expect to find it in a 5 stars hotel.
i got a club room with benefits of the club the breakfast was great but the other benefits where not so great.

Near to night activities and MRT for easy access if a person like to take MRT apart from taxi. If they want to go patpon and Night Baazar (Sum Lum Night Baazar) also near by. Their Deluxe room are to small space compare to their supior or standard room If ever i visit Bangkok again and want to stay at the Dusit Thani Hotel, i will make sure i got the room much spaces that i stay before. Also the last visit i been put to smoking instead of the room non-smoking. I requested and the Agoda did not take note of the requested.
Nightlife Tip : Near to night life sure as patpong and other activities surrounding area. Near also to night Baazar (Sum Lum Baazar)

Location - in the Silom area close to various facilities.
Transport - Public transport at doorstep.
Windows - that can be opened, albeit slightly for those who want a bit of the outside air and not just the airconditioning all the time. This is a good quality hotel that is also very well located in the Silom/Sathorn area within close walking distance to various shops, restaurants, night market, etc. The check in and out process was efficient and staff were very polite and attentive, making one feel welcomed. The room is reasonable for a hotel of this rating, with comfortable bed, and with the standard complimentary coffee/tea facilities. Some hot chocolate would have been good too! On the whole a pleasant two-night stay.

The restaurants are nice. Walking distance of skytrain and evening market Patpong. Old glory, old fession. Reception not good.
Bar is nice but no people where there. I don't go to this hotel. There are much better hotels in Bangkok for this price. Old shower and bath, old carpet in the room. Bad taxi service. I almost always with Agoda.com and there the first hotel of the last 5 years that want a hotel voucher. I said ten times to the reception that I have no printer in my laptop. After discussion with the general manager it's was ok. WHY ALL THE PROBLEMS.

Location - in the heart of town. Convenient transport as it is stone throw away from BTS & MRT station. Very nice ambience with a water fall and Koi pond. Very good breakfast spread in the morning. Good security. The rooms are a bit old although clean. The hotel need a upgrading, perhaps change of wall paper and carpet. The hotel is in the heart of town. Shopping Centres like Silom Central and night market at Patpong is a stone throw away. Security at the hotel is good (every car is check before entering the hotel)and during the silent hours, excess to the hotel is limited to the main entrance. The staff is polite and helpful especially in giving directions. The breakfast spread is very good and it also cater to Japanese tourist. The restaurant like Hamilton boost very good western menu but it is a little pricey. The ambience at the waterfall area is excellent and at times therapeutic. Overall an excellent hotel.
Shopping Tip : Take a train (BTS) to Siam sq to change to the north line to Mochit, where you can shop for almost anything at Chatuchak market. However this market is only available on Sat & Sun.

The hotel is quite convenient from the BTS station and also quite near to the famous Patpong area (if at all it matters to some)The staff was decent, and the amenities at the hotel were up to mark. The hospitality felt was very much like 'dusit'

service. breakfast. sauna and pool. i liked everything about the hotel. the hotel was beautiful. the service was superb. everyone was very friendly and helpful. the location of the hotel is perfect. the cost is cheap for the service provided. the room was very comfortable. i felt very safe and at ease here. i would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to bangkok. if i was returning to the city then i would not hesitate to book this with agoda again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : tourist office just down the road from hotel past mcdonalds. very helpful staff.
