small pool, there was a cover charge for entering the bar at the evening on Sat which seemed strange
This was our first stay at the dusit. It is well located for transfer from jomtien as we don't have to weave through most of bangkok to get to the hotel, but it is a little far from some other districts we wanted to visit.
Very polite staff yet the conceirge seemed to be pushing some market, which probably some friend of his or relative owned.
rooms were nice and security seemed good. It has good location to the subway and the skytrain so easy access with this transport

A beautiful and luxurious setting. Rooms were cleaned as soon as I pressed the "clean room button". Service was outstanding. The food was excellent.
I think if the hotel provided a service that someone could come to the room and help to pack the bags of the guest - that would be a huge selling point. I once stayed at a hotel that provided this service and I have never forgotten it.
This hotel was everything it advertised. The founder in your materials stated he wanted a high quality hotel that provides the best the orient as to offer. He has succeeded. The location is excellent and the services are great. I will definitely stay here at the Dusit Thani again and I will require my staff to use it when traveling to Thailand.
Hotel Feature Tip : The tailor was excellent. He was a bit more pricey but the quality was what is expected.

The choice of restaurants and cafes is excellent. You must try Hamilton's Steakhouse.
The lifts need refurbishing and the corridors and rooms need a spruce up. It is all looking abit tired once you get past the lobby and the lower floors.
I stayed for two nights and got an immediate upgrade. The staff in the club lounge were extremely welcoming, but the actual lounge is a disappointment and a bit shabby. I ordered room service a few times and this was good. The pool and gym are very well equipped and very clean and there is a nice bar where youy can sit by a water feature. The accommodation just needs a spruce up and the lifts definitely!!! The rooms do have a balcony which is a bit unusual for a city hotel. The location is excellent if you like bars etc.
Hotel Feature Tip : The Club lounge is not worth the extra money.

Great location and always superior hospitality and comfort. Excellent for relaxing, and at same time super business supports. I always enjoy going back to the Dusit. Now in my 7th year using this hotel. Staff are extra professional and courtious. Well run hotel.
difficult to identify. perhaps could try to liven up the bar lounge area. Tends to go to sleep early at nighttime. Mind you, no shortage of activity outside if one really wants it.

Restaurant Tip : Indigo Restaurant (French) on Soi Convenent. High quality, but expensive by Thai standards.
Tip Top restaurant in middle of Patpong (LHS) going from Silom Rd end. Opens till after 2am. Great selection of foods, fast efficient and good price.

lobby and staff were very nice and attentive
rooms slightly outdated. Was not asked about a smoking or nonsmoking room. Was put into a hall with lingering smoke smell. Bar was EXTREMELY expensive....prices extremely inflated.
Hotel is nice and is in a great area on Silom and near skytrain and subway. Lobby was very nice and hotel staff were very attentive. Room had a lingering smoke smell. Air never really got that cold and was slightly humid in the room the whole time. Had three small beers at the outside bar and the total came to almost 30 dollars. That price was way over inflated for any hotel - especially since you could walk down the street and get the same thing for less than 2 USD. Breakfast was not included with Agoda booking - did not find this out until I checked in. Otherwise, the hotel was OK to stay in. Just make sure you go somewhere else on Silom for food and drink - unless you have excessive money to burn.
Restaurant Tip : The food on the street on Silom is better than anything you will get in any hotel or restaurant....and you won't believe how cheap it is..it's almost like stealing it's so inexpensive.

Location, room size, fitness center
Rooms and public spaces look old-fashioned and a bit tired. Breakfast buffet unreasonably expensive
The Dusit Thani has been a Bangkok classic for decades. The location is still terrific. The place still feels like a classy upper end hotel. But a lot has changed in the hotel business in recent years. The Dusit today reminds one of the classic hotels of Miami Beach like the Fountainbleau. It is still appealing, but a lot of the appeal is nostalgia. If you look at the rooms objectively, they really don't stack up well against new luxury properties. The service level, however, is excellent.
Restaurant Tip : If you need to eat a full breakfast and=like to have it in the hotel, they offer a discount if you buy it on check in

Convenience to skytrain and metro and also the night Suam Lum Bazaar
room key card had to be recoded 6 times and each time that it didn't work, it was a long way from the room back to the front desk
It was very well presented and clean. Our luggage was right behind us and we settled in for our 1st day in Bangkok. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, greeting us with a bow and hands together Sa wat dii (hello) greeting. Also asking if we needed anything, the doormen were dressed in uniforms that made them stand out like royal guardians and they were very helpful in pointing out the way for a quick bite to eat or to get a cab for a trip across town. English is readily spoken by quite a few employees at the Dusit-so westerners shouldn't have a problem communicating. I'd say overall our experience at the Dusit Thani was very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A trip to the Saum Lum night bazaar for shopping or a quick Thai meal and a memorable Tuk-Tuk drive back to Dusit for 50 baht

It was really nice staying in Dusit Thani Hotel. The room is very comfortable with well-equipped facilities. The staffs are able to provide assistance and help. They are very friendly and polite, making me feel at home. The hotel makes me feel at home and I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

Extremly friendly staff. From Bellboy to receptionist. Very helpfully!
Nice and beautifull gardenterrace
Excellent food
Dusit Thani is a very luxury Hotel but it is its price worth. Situated in the neighbourhood of Lumpiniparc,is it great for discovering Bangkok with public traffic. Skytrain/Metro. The extremly helpfully and friendly Staff did me feel at home during my stay. The Hotel is very clean and lovely decorated. Even for a smoker they have a amazing outside terrace with a small lake (with Kois) and a waterfall.
I am able to highly recommend this Hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : near Patpong for nightlive and good for discovering Bangkok with public traffic (Skytrain/Metro)

Water pressure in the bathroom
Has been staying in the hotel for the past few visits in BKK. This time, upon arrival, I was advised that all seperior rooms have all been sold and I was upgraded to a deluxe room. While the front desk staff was extremely helpful, I did not like the deluxe room, too small and gloomy feeling. The deputy manager appeared and he was very helpful, polite. Seated me in the lounge with a welcome drink, he came back and gave me an suite.

Perfect location in the heart of the city.
Best location to walk around in the Si-Lom area, also ideal base for BTS/MRT users. Receptionists are attentive, somewhat historical atmosphere...
Swimming pool is not quite good, but well maintained. My original booking was not inclusive of breakfast, but for some reasons I was offered breakfast which was really helpful and lots of choices.
Would stay again when coming back to Bangkok.

Very comfortable access to MTR&BTS station, Taniya, and Patpong.
The front stuff welcomed me invited me to my room (as usual at any other hotel, it must have been porter). I think that this was very kind.

good location, goodo breakfast
the room is very old, no CD or DVD, TV is in a box so you can not watxch the TV from the side
i booked the deluxe room and got upgrade to a mini suite it was very big room with great view of Lumpini park but the room was very old and the TV is also very old and small for this level of luxury hotel.\nthe breakfast was in some a club dinning room and it was really good and nice place.\nthe location is the best point of this hotel you step out and you have all the options BTS underground train and like every where tuktuk and taxi. for lumpini park you just need to cross the street.\n\n
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : within walking distance the are : Lumpini park, night bazar, the snakes milking in faster center in the hospital, and patpong bazar

Large, clean and very well seviced - there is even a pillow menu in the room with 10 different types of pillow. The view from De Sens bar at the top of the hotel is one of the best views of bangkok you'll get! The hotel's location is awesome!
Service was inconsistent as were the rooms. On the first night we were on an Agoda voucher and the room was basic and worn. On the second to fourth nights we we were on airpoints voucher and the room was lovely. When we returned about a week later we were in a different room again and it was old and faded and the bath was blocked. We did not receive a welcome drink voucher this time either. The Thai restaurant had the worst (bland!) Thai food we had ever had.
Overall Dusit Thani is a very good five star hotel but it is so large that it lacks much in the way of personal touch. It was cxomfortable but not as special as I had expected. The service was thorough but it felt more like being processed than treated. The bath tubs are too shallow to bother with so use the shower. The location is excellent and you are right in the heart of bangkok and it is easy to get to and from the airport on the motorway. I liked Dusit Thani but i did not love it.

Excellent quality hotel room and bathroom.
Very respectful service.
Breakfast kept me going all day!!!!
Expensive.
Occasionally noisy.
This hotel was high quality and the service was very respectful and helpful. The location was excellent in the heart of shopping, dining and sightseeing.
Somewhat more expensive than should be. Also, good dining opportunities on site but nothing in the "inexpensive snack" category.
Security was evident -- which was both reassuring and worrying.
I would be delighted to return.
Restaurant Tip : Good restaurants and shopping just around the corner.
