very nice superior room; friendly and helpful staff. being close to the bts line was also good. a bit big for my taste and the food was extremely pricy for very average quality. also, mini bar prices should be 3x normal price but theirs were 5x. very much a rip off. I was on a two day personal trip and had seen the hotel listed as a five-star so i wanted to try it. it is more like a four star but i would stay there again because of the location, staff and value for money. my main issue was with their food - no value for money there.
Shopping Tip : The mall just up the main road had a good selection of shopping and food at reasonable prices.

great central location, good value, free wi fi & cable internet. hotel food & beverage expensive for thailand, strange layout of hotel. Dusit Thani is in a great location with the BTS & MTR both very close giving easy access to the city, the rooms are nice & very clean, the hotel is a good value 5* hotel, free internet access, great pool & gym, food & beverage costly in line with 5* hotels but much better to eat in nearby restaurants, hotel has parking, concierge friendly but we found them ill informed. Would certainly return as long as it remains good value.
Restaurant Tip : try Zanoti's italian restaurant, located in the street behind the hotel

the room is comfortable and people are friendly. the check out process is slow and no clear communication on breakfast. Please double check with them. if you enjoy the disounted rate, you SHOULD NOT have breakfast. The room is clean and very comfortable. The room service is very fast and people are very friendly and helpful. They are very responsive in any question or request posted. Based on the period i stay (2 nights), i don't have any complaint nor bad remarks as the service and the room are both value for money.

it is lovely to escape to a luxury hotel at times, but restaurants and luxury come at a price. We had decided to stay in at least one five star hotel during our holiday to the far east. Due to the relatively low price we paid in this hotel, we decided to try it out. The reception, restaurants, etc. were impressive, but the room was the smallest we experienced during our trip, and the price also did not include breakfast. We had, however, breakfast in the hotel, which cost us around 800 Thai Bhat a person. It was not worth this price, and was nothing special, taking into account other hotels we visited during our trip. This was also the hotel where we experienced the least human touch, and even if the service was impeccable, it was sort of cold.
The room was quite small, and it was hardly space for or three suitcases, and one of them had to be opened between our separate beds. Not an ideal solution.
Travel tip : The hotel is very well located in Silom, and it is close to the Sky Train.

Location, decor and staff There was nothing that we disliked about this hotel We had a 2 night stop over in Bangkok and stayed at this hotel. It was a lovely stay and we had no complaints at all. Staff were friendly and efficient and we could not fault the hotel.
The location is good and walking distance from the nightlife and markets of Patpong, and is a welcome oasis in the middle of a dirty, busy city. However traffic gets very jammed in that area during rush hour. We found that getting back to the hotel from a shopping mall 5 kms away can take a while, however this is a common problem throughout Bangkok. The rooms were well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. I was also pleased to be given free internet access, which may seem like a small point however bear in mind that some 5 star hotels charge exorbitant rates for 1 days internet usage! We would definitely stay here again.

Intuitive staff who seems to know what you want to do next. Very polite and professional. A truly international hotel that doesn't look and feel like other generic hotels around the world, but exudes a charm that is certainly Thai. The rooms might be a little small but it is well kept and everything is in working order. The staff makes sure that they are in order before assigning the room to you. This is what a world class hotel should be. Dusit is proud of their Thai heritage and uses it to enhance the pleasure of your stay in this wonderful city of Bangkok.
Shopping Tip : Take the MRT and BTS trains to all the nearby shopping centres. You will not be dissapointed.

Showing its age, especially the bathrooms. The Dusit has aged well but aged it certainly is. There are newer hotels available and you should give them careful consideration. The Dusit has good restraunts, the Royal Thai in particular and prices are good value for this class of hotel. Reception staff smile a lot but seem detatched and a little un interested. Rooms are a good size but dated and tired. The bathrooms in particular have passed their best days. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 15 years and every time I leave I say I will stay at a different hotel next time. This time I mean it. There are much better hotels now in Bankok.
Nightlife Tip : Within easy walking distance to the bars and nightclubs. No taxi needed.

Location, restaurant choices, and a modern new tower Dusit Thani is centrally located with convenient access to both the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway. The numerous fine dining restaurants within the property make it difficult to ever leave the hotel. The entire staff provides excellent service you would expect only from 5-star properties.

Great looking interior, great restaurants busy traffick location, more suited to businessmen than families My Family and I stayed at the Hotel mainly due to its good reviews. The hotel decor was impressive and the bars, lounges and restaurants were all very good. The room was very clean and had all the expected features. Eventhough, the staff were very friendly and helpful, this hotel would be more suited to businessmen than a family and it was mainly full of people on business trips. Also the traffic around the hotel was very bad. But for businessman that likes to unwind in the hotel lounge/bars I could highly recommend it.

Excellent location close to the subway and clean and well furnished. Great bar inside the hotel and excellent staff The rooms were not as clean as it should be Excellent location right next to the subway and the hotel is furnised very well and the restaurants and bars inside the hotel is excellent. However the room inside could be more clean and furnished. Overall worth because of location and staff is very friendly and the price is not very expensive compare to what you have recieve.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the location is superb. There are many restaurants but the onsite Thai restaurant is fantastic and great value for money. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

location, service, restaurant room is old and got smell I enjoy staying at dusit thani,this is my first time but I have heard about this hotel long times ago. My most satisfication is its location which is very convinient for tourist.
