The hotel has a nice elevator. The food was decent, but not great. The room was moldy and older looking than most other places. They should replace the old looking carpet or put in wood flooring or tile.
The hotel is located on a busy street. Traffic was really bad at 5:00 pm, taking a long time to get to the place. I watched some people walking faster then the taxi, causing me envy and anxiety. Had I known where the hotel is located, I should have walked and get there faster.
The room is average is size, but a bit moldy. Just by looking at the room alone, I would say it is about a 2-star US hotel at best.
The facilities outside of the room are decent.
Next I would stay at other better places in Bangkok at a lower price.

Near to Robinson, Careffour The location of this hotel is away from the busy city area, and therefore it was far away from the Siam area. The Train station is just around the corner, and thus helpping us to easilty access to travel to MBK & Patong. However they are located near to Robinson, Careffour and lot of massage areas around. The hotel generately was comfortable, and the room was just nice. The breakfast comes with lot of variety, and also suit our Singaporean taste.

The staff was outstanding. Everyone was anxious to assist. The room provided on my second visit was not in the deluxe category as the one I enjoyed on my first visit. Also, it took a day to be upgraded from the standard room to the deluxe room that I paid for. The hotel was great value. I arrived earily and had to book a room on my own. I paid more than twice the price that Agoda charged and it was just a basic room, not the deluxe one you provided. The TV channel selection was excellent. Recieved the Bloombery financial channel and excellent international news coverage. I didn't care for the in house Chinese Resturant; a bit too pricey and the food wasn't especially good. The Japanese buffet was okay if you like that type of food.
I wouldn definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room is big enough, Clean, Hotel personnel is very helpfull, Food taste is good enough The rules is very strict, when i forget to bring my breakfast coupon, the lady ask me to go back to my room and she said strictly that i cant enter the cafe without the coupon The most interesting is the Bellboy is very helpfull, they help me to give the direction to the taxi driver even they call to the company that i'm going to visit just to make sure the address is correct..

Friendly staff, easy train trip to Chatachak market. Location is in Rachadaphisek, which means it's a taxi or 2 trains to MBK, Paragon etc. Emerald Hotel Bangkok is fine. Good value for money. With the Location in Rachadaphisek it means it is a taxi trip or two trains to the major shopping areas - MBK, Paragon etc. But an easy train trip to chatachak market. Rooms were fine, staff very nice. It was alsovery busy - which is a good sign! We would stay there again.

Near to metro No free internet, have to pay quite expensive access. Emerald hotel is always my first choice since my first visit to Bangkok in 2001. Its convenience to access to the expressway except during evening hours,the traffic can be quite bad as people flock to the nearby shopping malls and entertainment centres in Rachada. Also Metro is less than 200meter from the hotel. There is no free internet access. prepare to pay some 300Bht for 2hours access. Otherwise, it's ideal choice for business traveller.

Great location, great staff and great bar. I have been staying at the Emerald every time I visit Bangkok. The staff are great and they give you an excellent service. I cannt believe the great price for the quality of service and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is also very near the MTR which makes getting around the city easy.
Travel tip : Practice your singing for the bar at night. It is good fun.

So many hotel staff present to make your stay comfortable.
Choices of Hotel restaurants to dine in when you don't want to go outside.
High standard of service.
Large rooms.
Good amenities.
Reasonable Internet connection.
Easy to take a taxi from.
Near a large hawker market.
Rooms are slightly tired, but very acceptable.
The Emerald Hotel is a well known site for many taxi drivers and locals alike. The lobby area is inviting and well presented. The staff are very diligent, and there seem to be so many staff present to make your stay very comfortable. The rooms have everything you need, and the in-house restaurants are perfectly acceptable as places to meet friends and guests. The surrounding area is more well known for it's nocturnal entertainment, including a very large market nearby, and plenty of very well priced thai massage outlets. Finally, at least the traffic in this area is serviced by a large dual carriageway, which means getting to the hotel isn't that bad.

close to shopping mall, subway, some tuorist spot.
breakfast is good. parking lot not convenient,expensive internet. overall is good hotel. Just not understand why Thais can not stay in premier room which can pay less. deluxe room may too big for two people.drinking water test not good,like tap water.lobby is good but need more chairs, most has 2 chair per set. at night too lound from underground disco tech.waitress is good service.

Good Buffet breakfast, great 24 Hour Restaurant. The gym was nice and clean. Liked having the disco downstairs for some nightlife. Very good location to MRT, Shopping, and food. Rooms need some updates. I missed having the massage downstairs Bottom line I have stayed at the Emerald Hotel in the past and would definitely stay there again. I was worried about being farther away from the airport but with the highway that was no problem. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and having a 24 hour restaurant downstairs was key when coming back after hours. Can't beat this hotel for the money and I would recommend to anyone who wanted to stay in BK. Also enjoyed the Chinese restaurant which was very good.
Restaurant Tip : MK Hot Pot was a great affordable lunch place. Also Somboon Seafood Restaurant is very good.

NIce and very big hotel, lovely staff , very helpful indeed as they organized and booked tours for us at a good price. The superior rooms are nice but the deluxe room are much better.
It is a big and nice hotel, spacious room, good bathroom , old TV in the room. The food was very good and at a reasonable price. It is very easy to get to town by the underground, which is located at a walking distance from the hotel
Overall it is a lovely hotel and we liked it.
Restaurant Tip : Very good Thai food and Japanese food at a reasonable price and other restaurants are very easy to reach in the same area, specially Chinese restaurants.

good, easy, convenient facilty security is really tight. The hotel is easy to use and close to the subway for easy access to transportation. The hotel is clean and service is good. Room service is available and breakfast buffet is free. Breakfast consists of American, Chinese and japanese menus. There are several restraurants to chose from in the hotel. Hotel takes credit card. There is a gym and exercise facility on the premises as well as a business center with internet.

Easy to hop in to MRT or Taxi, the nearest MRT is Huay Khwang MRT station. Room very clean and nice design. All staff is very friendly and nice. Internet price expensive. Very hard to get food from outside hotel. On my arrival, I had a friendly welcome from the reception and the bell boys very friendly and carry my bag. Every time when i want to travel, the bell boys will help me to get taxi. Good location, near to subway station.
Shopping Tip : You can go Chatucak Market from Huai Kwang MRT(takes around 15-20 minutes), this market only open on saturday and sunday. If you are looking for night market, you can go Lumpini station, and just one minute walk you can reach Night Bazaar.
