Service - staffs to check bill before sending to guests.
Room - old & poor soundproof My first time staying at this hotel. I love the location, great for those shoppers who love the garment wholesale markets around the hotel. And also the food stalls outside the hotel which sell nice local thai food. However i am unhappy with the service as they tried to overcharge me with an extremely EXPENSIVE telephone bill and it was settled only i demanded an investigation, and it found to be a 'system error'. The room was clean but the decor was old and the sound proof is really bad. I will give a second thought to go back to this hotel again because i do not trust the 'system' in this hotel.

Friendly staff. Location of the hotel - central to the city. good laundry facilities Overall I would reccomend the First Hotel to any traveller, busiusness person or tourist. It is in a central position with easy access to the Skytrain, busses and taxis. The staff are friendly, polite and will help if they can. The laundry facilities are excellant with my washing being delivered back the same day, fresh and ironed - better than I ever manage. The one down point of the hotel is that they are not strict enough on non-smoking in the hotel. I had to ask for another room because of the smell from the previous occupent
Shopping Tip : Many opticians are situated close to the hotel and they are first class and fast. I had a new pair of glasses including a full eye test in less than a day

Proximity to pratunam market
Accessible to various shopping malls eg MBK etc
American style breakfast, quite a variety Congested traffic on weekends.
Rather old hotel,need to improve on renovation. I have stayed in this hotel during my last 2 visits to Thai in 1 month.Despite the terrible traffic condition,the location is still accessible to many shopping malls if one is willing to walk.Shopping like Isetan is only about 10 mins walk away from the hotel.

First hotel at Platinum has strategy location as it's nearby Platinum market, shopping centre and BTS station. Hotel furnitures is pretty old and hotel rate is pretty high. First hotel has a strategy location as the BTS station is in 5 to 10 min walking distance from your hotel. You can reach more of the famaous shopping centres,sightseeing, attractions and business buildings by BTS. For those who has no transport, this is a good choice to solve your transport problem. However, the hotel and the furnitures are pretty old and you will find it is really not valued for money except location provides conveniences.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Platunum market and famous chicken rice shop is in walking distance.

Less than satifactory room condition The location of First Hotel is excelent and it's within walking distance to BTS (Ratchatewi Station). You can get cheap and nice food nearby. Pratunam Shopping Area is just a stone throw away where you can get cheap clothes and shoes. However, the room condition in the old wing is not that satisfactory. The shower water is slow and weak; the air cond controller spoilt...etc, I 'd suggest for those who wish to stay in this hotel to take up those rooms in the new wings, with a little bit extra.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Those taxies waiting outside the hotel charge reasonable rate with meter. From hotel to airport, only 300Baht.....with additional around 65Baht for toll.

Reasonable price. 5-10min walk to BTS. No toothbrush given. superior room is the same as delux room. This hotel is reasonably value for money. The price is below the average in bangkok. Service is average as well, not exceptional. Breakfast is not provided, but there are many food places nearby. It is quite near to major shopping places by train or by taxi. The superior room seems to be the same as the deluxe room.

- near to many shopping centre and its just a 10-15 min walk away from the Skytrain/MRT
- staff were always helpful
- room was neat and clean - have a tag to let customers decide whether they wan their room to be cleaned, although valuables are kept ourselves, other things such as clothes are still in the room. Overall it was a great stay, especially if you are visiting 1st time, its good as the platinum shopping mall is jus nearby. If u need any help, the hotel staff will be there to help you. Costs wise is also quite economical, it is definitely value for money.
Shopping Tip : The platinum fashion mall is just a 10 min walk away and its a 6 level shopping mall with lots to shop.

Great staff. Freindly and helpful. The First Hotel is well located. Near the sky rail station at victory monument and opposite Pantip Plaza (Handy if you're into computer gear).
The room was bit drab, but let's face it, it's only for sleeping in and it was comfortable. Staff are great and the main desk is maned 24hrs which was handy for my 4:00am check out with taxis outside all night. Restaurant was great and not overpriced.
Restaurant Tip : Not a lot of local food outlets here, plenty of western conglomerates so if your favour Thai cuisine best eat at the First Hotel Restaurant, its fairly well priced.

Neer shopping center, neer Pantip plaza, neer Rachatthewi skytrain. Have foot massage in hotel. All staffs are very friendly. We can hear all noisy beside room. Good to save money for our shopping. Lovely and friendly. This is best hotel for shopping and travelling ( cheap and comfortable)

Good for shopping ( near Siam, skytrain, pantip plaze, platinum mall, pratunam, beyoke sky...) soundproofing wall is very noisy. I like it, it is very cheap to i save money for my shopping. All staffs are very friendly.

Receptionist were friendly and assisted during my stay.
American style breakfast, quite a variety of choice. Lighting quite dim on corridor.
Air con not strong enough. This is the 3rd time i stayed at First Hotel.
Reason is the hotel is located centrally to many shopping malls like MBK, Platinum etc.
For all my stays there,the hotel staff were friendly and helpful too.For a 3 star hotel, i would definitely grade it as one of the best.Will still choose to stay there again on my next visit.

good service, accomodating staff at the reception.
three restuarant to choose from. a bar to chill down. no safe in the room, the hot water supply for bathing is not consistent. i would reccommend this hotel for travellers whom are here for shopping, it is located next to fashion mall and the wholesale centre is just 5-10 mins walk. the hotel also have three restaurant for you to choose from. price range is not too expensive. there is also a bakery just outside the hotel which serve cheese cake!!
on the whole, nice experience staying here. but they can improve the service by placing a safe in hotel room...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there is a foot massage shop to the left of the hotel, it shares the shopfront with a tailor...

in Pratunam shopping area We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We reserved a standard room but when we entered the room, the smell was bad. The room was clean and well furnished except for the smell. We had to upgrade to a deluxe room in the wing tower . The deluxe room was good and not smelling.

Near whole sales centre, eazy to buy food and to get a texsi Bath room shower and TV channel ( Cant see the MTV channel) Is a very economy and good service hotel. And also a convinience to shopping and go to other place to get our lunch and dinner. And also have a good texsi service just out side the hotel. 24 hours restaurant very convineice to those who want to take their supper. Other wise also have 24 hours mart like family mart and 7 eleven to convinience and buy our food, drink and other needs.
Shopping Tip : Near by shopping centres and also whole sales centres.

Counter staff are helpful Room - there is no electric boiling jug which is common in any three star hotel around the world. Located strategically near fashion malls,MBK etc making the hotel an excellent choice for foreigners on shopping or holiday. The counter staff are good and courteous - one who stands out could speak reasonably good understandable English making our stay pleasant.
Room is clean but the Hotel could not give us one with street view. The drawbacks for the room (No.1103) are:No Electric Jug for boiling water and the side table lamp is out of order.
I would certainly recommend friend to stay at the hotel.
