Eazy for those who want to go shopping at whole sales market Bath room shower and TV Channel not stable like MTV channel. A convinience to shop at whole sales market like platunam and many other place. And also a convinience place to buy food at 24 hours shops like 7 eleven and family mart.Other then that also have many texsi are waitting at outside hotel to bring us to airport and many other place that we want to go . And at afternoon to night time at outside hotel have many stalls that selling thai local food and we can taste many spicy and yummy thai foods.

good service, spacious room, central location water tap at the bathroom sink was leaking, no water boiler - you have to call room service everytime you want hot water. Check-in and information services was good. Central location made getting around very easy, as there are food stalls, 7-Elevens and malls all around. Tuk-tuks are also very accessible and are parked all around the roadsides. However, the water tap in the bathroom sink would leak everytime you turned on the tap, and it would wet the whole sink counter. Shower water was not hot, and not at a stable temperature (sometimes hot sometimes cold).
Shopping Tip : There are alot of wholesale stores selling clothing, accesories, shoes etc. around the area, but shops open at about 930-10 and close at 7 pm (too early!)

It is centrally located to the main shopping area like wi-xi computer mall, platinum fashion mall and pratunam area. The hotel serves good food at its restaurants however the room service is not good with very few limited choices. The housekeeping is not up to the mark and rooms certainly need a makeover. Overall First Hotel is a good hotel for budget travelers with easy approach to the city shopping areas and tourist destinations. The rooms of the hotel need an improvement definitely.
Shopping Tip : Pratunam centre for souvenirs.
Platinum mall for fashion and clothing.
wi-xi for laptops cameras and electronics all at walking distance within 500mts from the hotel.

Having been staying in this hotel for 3 days and really enjoyed our stay(We are in a group of 12!) only 1 who complained about the room.We could recommend to stay and will comeback for sure! It is really a good location hotel and value for money as well The internet is not free and in some rooms the sewer needs to be repaired,otherwise it's OK I would say that this is one of the cozy hotels that I've ever stayed for such a cheap price, I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and really enjoyed my stay. It is in a great location and close to everything (University where our conference took place, shopping centers, restaurants,etc.) For a very reasonable price, we can have a 3 star hotel with quite a nice room and services, thank you Agoda!.

It's convinient to have variuos specific Thai foods surround the hotel. There's cheap shopping centres close to the hotel. The bakery shop on the first floor selling deliciuous snacks. The drivers of the hotel vans are very nice and helpfull. The gangway in front of the lift on the 9th floor is very hot. Should be air conditioned. The room smells not good, maybe bacuse it's been not used for quite a long time? It's time to renovate the interior of the room and to provide the rooms with electric jug. Fifteen of us were visiting Bangkok in order to atend a conference held at the Chulalongkorn University. At the same time we really eager to explore the city as much as it is possible, considering the limitted time and budget of most of us. So, for travellers like us, First Hotel is a kind of hotel worth to be considered.
The rate is very good, the location is quite convinient(many traditional stall Thai food, convinient stores, souvenir shops, and cheap shoping centres nearby, and not far from the city centre), equipped with all standard facilities (taxy pool in front of the hotel, car rental with kind and helpfull drivers, good bakery shop with 50% discount after 19.00 pm, tourist information, bussiness centre, swimming pool).
However, to enjoy the hotel (the main wing), we better not to expect to much on the cleanlines of the room. The rooms are quiet old so that the wall paper, the wardrobe, the shower curtain, the towels, and the carpet are in condition that need to be renewed. The gangway between the rooms and in front of the lift is also very unconvinient because it's very hot. Some rooms also have not working lights (which can be fixed after calling the room service).
Ingnoring all the above minimum conditions of the hotel, we should admit that our visit to Bangkok this time was succes and fun.with the help of the tourist information staff (especially the friendly morning shift lady but not the night shift guy with his unsmile face)and the attention and cattered attitude of the van drivers we rent,we managed to make the most of our two days visit to explore most of the interesting places in Bangkok and surroundings. We were very impressed with the hospitality and the eagerness of the van drivers to catter our needs.
To sum up, by improving the conditons need to be renewed and compleeted as mentioned above, visitors like us will willing to pay a little bit more to stay again in this hotel.

best feature is a swimming pool, very relax old house and quite noisy because infront of the hotel is the exciting street. I think the Fisrt hotel Bangkok is resonable for your choice. If you can not pay much, you can stay at the hotel. I like a swimmin pool, every afternoon, I swim here alone, so very relax and private.
Just complain about the restroom, quite old, expecially the lavabo table.
Nightlife Tip : the street infront of the hotel is very exciting at night. You will like it.

Breakfast is too small if you have to stay for longer time.......same...same....same. I have used First Hotel many time and I can see it is getting more and more used. Bathroom very unsatified hot and cold water you can not control and everything looks old and dirty and sorry to say standard of First hotel is not getting better.

Staffs in the hotel are very friendly. They are aware of the hotel management. Eg, The free usage of the safe box. The hotel is very clean although it is not a very high class hotel. Some of staffs show bad attitude when they do not understand what we say. Eg, Asking the process of making international call. Process of asking for hot water or cultery. I feel that my stay in First Hotel is a pleasant one. I have yet to experience any difficulty which the staffs in the hotel cannot solve. I really appreciate the staffs in the hotel that answered my enquires promptly and confidently. I will definitely go back to the hotel during my next visit to Bangkok.

Noise from adjoining rooms. Poor cleanliness. Poor air-conditioning. Poor plumbing. Breakfast not included. Our room had pairs of doors connecting it to the adjoining rooms. These were thin and had big gaps underneath so I could hear what neighbours on both sides were saying and I was woken up by their baby at 6.30am each day. No doubt they could hear what I was up to too.
My room was not cleaned one day although we were out by 1pm and left the "Please Clean Room" sign up.
Another day the cleaner left the door slightly open after finishing and I discovered this when returning many hours later.
The air conditioning was poor. It could not be set below 22 degrees but for long periods of time it was way hotter than this.
The plumbing was poor. No "bum gun" (which is ridiculous for an Asian hotel) and the shower was impossible to set at a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast was not included.
Shopping Tip : The excellent IT Mall Pantip Plaza is almost opposite.

It is in the heart of the tourist area, food was within walking distance.
Also shopping, including computer stuff clothes and many local items with reach.
easy access by both Tuk tuk and taxi. When we check in we had to find the room ourselves
TV no football channel, lobby EPL bar only seems to cater for europeans when we ask to watch our favourite team play saturday night we were told no sattalite link to me because it was only me and my wife a the lounge I was disappointed as the was no breakfast given when the room was booked.
Other then the good location the hotel has nothing special to mentioned, The condition was rather old staff did not try to show interest in guest needs.

Good location near to shopping centre, u can get all things u want at the best price ... From what i was told that hotel had a very limited non-smoking rooms (1/2 floor only) so for non-smokers u find it unbearable with people smoking outside your rooms within the air-cond. Environment made it worst. Overall location wise is considered convenient but buffet breakfast is not as tasty as it looks like at a price of ? Bath. Rooms considered presentable but we request for change of rooms due to too many smokers on that floor which is at least better. Can shop till late cos' hotel area is just along the main road so bright enough

They don't have much non-smoker room or zone Would at least provide tea making facilities cos' it's inconvenient to request for hot water when u felt like making something hot at late night. Should have more non-smoking zone and since we put it our requirement for non-smoking floor they should at least inform us it's not available and shouldn't put us on smoking zone which is unhealthy especially for our children.

TV too few English programs and not even worked good.
Hotel needs a name sign for people to find it... When we arrived at 18.00 hrs. The room was not ready and had to wait for one hour. Yes, we received a complimentary drink, thanks.
The warm and cold water is very difficult to adjust...TOO hot or TOO cold.
TV reception was very poor. Too few English channels and poor reception...interrupted many times...
Discovery was supposed to be in English...Not Thai.
I dont think I will ever come back here..!!!
The room carpet was dirty and worn out....
