The hotel location is close to business areas and located in heart of the city. I very like it- easy to go out for shopping.. Hotel's staff are very friendly to me and kindly give me more information for living in BKK. It can be said that this hotel is very nice place to stay with reasonable price (40-50 % discount). Thank you the hotel thank you agoda!

Old, rooms smell, water from bath shower sometimes was yellow and dirty, service is average As I'm always out while in Bangkok, I don't mind staying here at First House. It is a very average budget hotel, the whole building is old except they recently renovated the lobby. I hope they start refurbishing the rooms with new carpeting and furniture.
The hotel location is great and most taxis know the street it's located on so you never need to worry about finding your way back. It is a short 5 mins walk to Platinum mall.
Hotel Feature Tip : Make sure you close your room doors tightly, I came back one night to find my door left open! Thank goodness my room was in a secluded area of the hotel and nothing was missing.

with some improvement in the hotel lobby and rooms the aircon is still noisy The hotel is much better with its recent renovations at lobby, now with better quality lifts also.
The management may need to put in more seats at the lobby.
Also the staff at reception is much more friendly and helpful now.

The hotel is in better shape after the renovations. The room still need improvement such as the aircon is very noisy Actually we always stay in First House Hotel every year due to its location, near the Pratunam shopping area.
We are happy to see some improvement in the hotel lobby, it looks much nicer now.
The receptionist service is also better now.
Travel tip : Excellent location near the shopping area

Its low price accommodation with breakfast is definitely a good catch. Easy access to most major malls. The hotel is a bit old although they have renovate their front recently (2009). That stretch of lane leading back to the hotel from the main road is quite dim at night. No room service available. Well in general if u r a traveller wanting to find reasonable and affordable accommodation available then u have find the right place. Please bear in mind the rate you are paying for a night. For that rate you are getting the value of your money.
Shopping Tip : Quality and affordable tailor within walking distance. 5mins walk to Amari Watergate Hotel Level 2 Paul's Fashion provide quality and affordable tailor made suits, shirts and others.

The hotel is situated at a very strategic location, and at a very reasonable price if you don't mind that it provides you only very simple facilities. You may want to be aware that, the hotel doesnt provide hair dryer, flask, and have difficulty to get an extra power point to charge your phone! I think the best part of the hotel is its location. A lane beside the hotel will connect you to the wholesale market which is opened since early morning. Plenty of clothings for ladies at really good price! Next to it, there's this mall named City Complex - A good place for working pants for ladies as well. Opposite it, will be Platinum Mall, further walk lead you to the Pratunam Centre, Pratunam Night Market, Central World, Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK. The hotel is just perfectly located for shopping! Food wise, you'll be able to try the local delicacies at the main road side when you walked out from the lane where hotel is situated. Last but not least, it is near to the sky train stops as well!

hard bed and pillow That was my first time to be in Bangkok and stayed in first house hotel. it was unforgettable. I like the strategic location of the first house, i could simply walk around to experience the great shopping spree in Bangkok. My first priority is the cleanliness and First House Hotel has no problem with it. Breakfast is slightly boring if stay there too long but over all i would recommend to stay there for a budget hotel
Shopping Tip : Just walking distance, there is a good place to shop..exactly at the back of the hotel

Easy access to major shopping mall. Rooms are better now after the renovation, carpets, mattresses and curtains have all been changed, no more mouldy smell but lights are too dim and corridors too dark. Hotel used to serve good and cheap dinner but now they no longer, may be inconvenient especially for those who are too tired to eat out.

no window The Hotel was feel little old now, the rooms was in old shape. my room and my friends room has no windows, that feels like in a bunker. the bed was old i think, feels like i gonna rolling out of it.
and no extra electric-power for charge cellphone or something. we had to take out TV or freezer for charge cellphone. the bathroom was good with a nice shower and good and clean toilets. the breakfast was good also. for the price and location its a ok hotel for sleep one or 2 night.

It is a wonderful experience with First house. the hotel is clean and convinient.
Close to the wholesale center and just opp is the cargo company. It is perfect for biz purchse or shopping trip. The waiting for the lift is slow and breakfast is the same every day.
If you are going for a short shopping trip , it will be perfect to stay at first house. They have just renovated the receipt area and the location is convinient. A short walk to platinum mall and you will get almost every thing you want.
You will need to bring your own toiletries as they don't provide much.
Hot water shower will be by luck, some rooms have it and some don't.
The tv programe is boring so it is advisable to spend the night out.
Shopping Tip : You can just turn right and go through a corner towards indra square to get night snacks.

New reception area is nice, staff friendly at times. breakfast great. Rather dirty some rooms and drains smelly. Needs a revamp to all the rooms and no where to sit in lobby when waiting for visitors to arrive. Great for me as it has the markets, big shopping malls & food stalls near by.Great to haual down taxis outside hotel and has good storage for left luggage. Staff friendly most times, Breakfast is good, and sheets are always clean. Could do with more coat hangers in wardrobe and neeeds Tea & coffee making machine. Will always stay at the First House Hotel and have ben staying ther for the last 12 yers. Staff know me !!
Shopping Tip : Fantastic shopping area for markets & at Pratunam markets & Prantip Plaza and to MBK easy by taxi.

walking distance to the shops, lots of street foods the room we got into at first stinks the rooms on the main building are old and they smell bad. we transferred to the new building and the rooms there are new. the receptionists are kind but they need to improve their speech/language because im having a hard time understanding them.

This is my 2nd time stayed at this hotel, supprised me that all the staffs, room condition and services getting improved a lots. Costomers laggage store room still very small, breakfast everyday the same, a bit bored. Shopping Tip : The location is very closed to the hotel, exspecialy clothing or garments, whose buy 3 pcs. You get wholesales prices.
