My wife and I stayed at Four Wings Hotel for about the fifth time and as always this hotel had good service and the rooms were good value for money, the hotel is located well with the local shoping centres close by and the BTS about 5 mins walk.
I would recomend St James hotel to anyone that is interested in people making a big fuss over them.

A good hotel. Staff were freindly and tried their best to assist even though some had limited english abilities.
The location is not the best but is reasonable for the price and service. The hotel is good value for money.
Breakfast is the best feature of the hotel. The bufet was comparable to that of 5 star hotels.

On the description for the four wings hotel it says it is downtown close to everything, well not really. But the staff was nice and polite. Shame no breakfast included and for the price it should have been. There were much better hotel not too far from that one which the prices was better and breakfast included. But all in all it's a ok hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Four Wings Hotel and the standerds of the hotel are the still great.
My next trip to Bkk I will stay at the Four Wings Hotel again.
The Hotel is located in a quiet street close to the train and local shopping centres.

Very enjoyable stay, pool is nice and long for a good swim with toddler area, breakfast buffet has good selection of food with omelet station, friendly staff. Soi 26 traffic is a bit heavy in the afternoon. The showers hot water was a little inconsistent. Close to sky train (10 minute walk), close to Rama IV (10 minute walk) and Tesco Lotus and Carre Four. There is a 7-11 across the street. I will definitely stay there on my future visits.
Shopping Tip:
Close to Emporium & Sky Train (10 minute walk).

Not as close to the airport as you think

I recently stayed at the 4 wings hotel. The reason we chose it because it was advertised as being close to the airport. In actual fact the, hotel was a 25 min taxi ride (on the toll highway).
The room itself was very nice but, our non-smoking room did smell like smoke.
The only other negative was the cost of the internet access through the hotel's business center. They quoted us a charge of 500 bhat per hour! crazy expensive considering most internet cafes in the area only charge 40 bhat per hour.
That being said, our over-all experience was very good. The bed was very comfortable and made it very easy to catch some Z's.

The hotel is well located for shopping and sightseeing. The staff were very helpful and Friendly. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Room service was excellent and very quick. The web site says that there is coffee/tea making facilities in the room, but there was none in ours. We could see other rooms did have this through open doors and when we inquired at the reception we were told that this facility was not provided, not true. Was this because we booked through Agoda. The hotel has an excellent pool and gym facilities.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take your own coffee/tea making facilities.

The Four Wings on Soi 26 is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Bangkok. The entire staff is incredible in their friendliness and helpfulness. The place is sparkling clean and modern from the lobby to the rooms. The food is excellent from 24 hour Room Service to the three very nice restaurants; Chinese, Japanese, and Thai/European. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome by the wonderful staff. The rooms are equipped with flat screen TVs with satellite or pay per view current movies. Each room also has a mini bar, fridge, safe, and built in hair dryer. There is also plenty of garage parking for those who live in Thailand and drive to Bangkok as I do.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a wonderful small family owned Sushi Bar on the corner of Soi 24/1 and Sukhumvit Rd., and if you walk further down Sukhumvit to near Soi 22 you will find Washington Square with the Dubliner Irish Pub and Bourbon Street Restaurant (real Cajun style New Orleans food!)

Our first stay at Four Wings Hotel was good, nice calm area.

We liked the hotel, very quiet in a calm area. The staff was kind and helpful. Specially the staff in pool/ gym area.Room were clean and tidy, one thing we missed was the selection in tv channels. Would be nice to se some good film channels before bed time.. Breakfast was good, great selection. Conclusion friendly and helpful staff.

I think it was in a japanese area, so many good japanese restaurants

Quiet hotel in bustling Sukhumvit area
The hotel is an quiet oasis in the Sukhumvit area.

With the promotion price I got (50% off) it was extremely good value. Without, it would still be quite ok. The statt is very friendly, The room was clean, spacious and quiet, the view nice and unobstructed. The only thing you might not like is the distance to the nearest train station (Phrom Phong). I personally do not mind to walk the couple hundred meters down Soi 24, though.
Shopping Tip:
The Seven Eleven just across the street is very handy.
