Staff was professional and friendly but didn't do anything in excess of that to make me feel special. I like the more kind of talkative staff so for me this was a negative thing, for some guests it might as well be positive.

Quiet decent hotel with good facilities

This hotel, whilst a little faded and dated offers enormous rooms with quality fittings, lovely staff, excellent wifi, storage, all the little touches that make a stay enjoyable and make it 4 star, it is in a silent location,yet just a few minutes walk to the Sukhumvit Rd and BTS and Bumrungrad immediately opposite. Good wifi, huge comprehensive breakfast selection, plus each room I have stayed in ( 3 now ) have a kitchette with sink, crockery, microwave etc, so you can be a little independant. The staff are always nice and I will stay regularly, room rates permitting ! Very clean, nice standard of everything. It also has a small, clean gym and swimming pool.

Location was quite isolated and hard to find, the whole hotel seems not occupied and guests were few. Pool was tiny but good thing was since occupancy is low, so the whole pool is like your private pool, can get a decent suntan with the only 2 pathetic suntan deck chairs available.
Wifi is available but not at pool area.
Breakfast is pathetic and limited choice.
Room was spacious and nice to have small kitchenette and microwave and plate/cutlery provided.
Whole hotel and the room needs major refurbishment.
The location is only good if you are in BKK for a visit to Bumrungrad Hospital, cos it's just next to it.
Walking from Ploenchit BTS station took 12 minutes.
Sad to say, i will never choose to stay at this hotel again.

Me and my wife stayed here first time back in 2009. it was brand new and well kept. Also located conveniently close to the subway and shopping malls. Always wanted to be here next time we visited Bangkok. Stayed here again in April 2012. But we were very disappointed by lack of overall cleanliness - very old and stained towels, smelly and dirty bathroom, hallways. We were utterly disappointed.
