Walk to the river

Overall I have no Cons

I found the hotel clean and the staff frendly to deal with. If your after the gold dealers then it only a short walk down the road. It is amazing for a country that you are lead to belive that the majority of the people are paid a very minumium wage per month , the gold dealers where 2 deep to get to the counter. A good Hotel Value for the money Paid

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Easy walk to the river boats

Close to the china town shops

Non realy

Its a nice big hotel with all the amenities and comfort provided to the guest, plenty of choices for breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is located not far from the tourist place and shopping center. Easy access to anywhere by taxi. This hotel is worth the value.

Warm and welcoming staffs. Rooms were in good size for my young child to learn to walk in the room. Ops of walking street market and ferry terminal. Prompt room service.

Swimming pool is rather small. But good for pple that likes to get a tan. Certain tv channels were not clear.

Is very convenient, right at Chinatown, to walk out and grab a bite for supper and massage. Hotel staff are very friendly to assist us with our child. We experience a problem at check in but they cleared the misunderstanding very quickly and gave us the price we were promised. The breakfast spread was great. We just checked the price we were given was so much cheaper than now.

Shopping Tip : Wholesales markets of food and accessories right ops the hotel.

Pretty close to everything. Plenty of taxis and tut-tuts at the door. Good taxi service from hotel. Great breakfast which was included.

Didn't like the porter, tried to get us to go on a trip he would organise for factory outlet jewellery and silk products.

We were given complimentary water every day, an orchid and lolly on the pillow every day, which was a nice touch. Restaurant meals cheap and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly. There is a little cafe and a bakery in the hotel complex which has a very good variety of foods cakes and pastries. There are a few other shops in the complex also. Something I did find amusing was the fortune teller sitting in the lobby. The housekeeping staff were very thorough and always had a smile.

Shopping Tip : Plenty of souvenir shops around that area. Nice lounge in the hotel where you can sit in air conditioned comfort and have a drink.

Fantastic view (15th floor), great location!!

The internet connection is not the best.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Never pay more than 150-200 baht per tuk-tuk ride in the centre of the city. If they only ask you around 50 baht, be ready to stop in a couple of shops before you get to your destination!! The drivers get a commission if you buy something!

Buffet Breakfast, View from room

Swimming pool

This is a typical 4 star hotel in Thailand. It represented good value for money. Good location in the centre of China Town, near to train station. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. The lunch buffet disapponted but off the menu the food was good and represented value for money. The gym was adequate with helpful trainers, friendly and made you feel you belonged. The swimming pool - is a dipping pool - it is small, suitable to cool off only. NOT suitable for children, who love to play about - in fact it is quite dangerous. The housekeeping is second to none and the staff unobtrusive but attentive. Ignore the tuk-tuk drivers loitering outside they're happy to take anyone for a ride - if you let em!

Shopping Tip : Tesco Lotus nearby. Lobby restaurant

The best hotel in the heart of Chinatown.

Shopping Tip : Ofcourse the Chinatown area with all the hidden markets. The "thieves market" is very nice. You cannot buy any clothes but all the other stuff.

You are in the middel of china town.

don't come here, if you not for the traffic.

The staff is very nice. The breakfast is also good, everything for everyone. The lobby-bar is good place to visit in the evening, with relaxing music and a nice singer, she can sing almost anything you wish and the price is not expensive compare to anywher else.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : this is china town, go out and enjoy it.

Nice clean rooms friendly staff and great views from the revolving restaurant.

No real coplaints as mentioned before you need a head for hights if you use the pool and the bathing area and pool is a bit small but okay,

Ideal place to see the real Bangkok Fairly straight forward for getting to most places, Most places were within a short taxi ride depending on the time of day and traffic. We enjoyed our Thai meal in the revolving restaurant with views across the city at night. The staff were very helpfull in advising us where to go what to see and how to get there. staying hear again would not be a problem the room was clean and good size the food good and a there is a bakery on the ground floor they also do tea and coffee and lots of nice cakes and snacks, there also is a cafe on the ground floor. and small shopping mall.

Nightlife Tip : Patpong night Market worth a visit

Very Very clean, spacious, at the heart of Chinatown-proximity to supper and morning shopping.

Bell boy service needs lots of improvements, the CONS of being in Chinatown is that most taxis drivers dont wanna go there.(very bad traffic jams).

This is the ONLY hotel that my Mom and Grandma will stay if they visit Bangkok. Why? Because of the high standard of Cleanliness, spacious room and the fact thats its in China town means we have lots of choice for supper. :) My family stayed there countless times. Its was almost perfect except that at the end of our last day stay, the bell boy service is pretty rude. He didnt carried the luggages for us because we choose to hire taxis ourselves (300baht) rather than using in-house hotel cab (800-900baht). Rather disappointed with the way he treat us. But nonetheless, out of 6-8 times staying there, this was the first time he treated us like this. Would go back again to give another try but if the attitude is gonna be rubbish again. I will persuade my family to try other Chinatown hotel.

Restaurant Tip : One of the seafood stalls in Chinatown (located on the same street as Grand China Princess) is very reliable and honest. :)
