We stayed here for 2 nights to be close to the river and to go on the Bicycle tour. The bike tour has an office in the lobby and tours start here everyday. We enjoyed it.

Good value for money.

Travel tip : Short walk to river and boats. You don't need necessarily the limousine service offered by the hotel. "Meter taxis" cost half the price and are as quick and reliable. Aks for metering or let the hotel staff negotiate a price. When taking a "tuk-tuk" try to bargain otherwise you may easily pay double the price.

I love the area, right in the middle of Chinatown, but within walking distance of so many things. There are very good food markets and almost anything one could want. The food on the streets, at night, is wonderful!

Travel tip : Previously stated. I keep returning for the Pad Thai from a woman who has her wok right at the corner of the street, just down from the CP.

I would probably consider in staying here again for its practicality and not to really have a luxurious stay. it is a practical place for backpackers and transient travellers.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : As the MRT line is outside the hotel, it is the best way to travel around Hong Kong and to see all the sights. it you are arriving early afternoon and just wants to have a chill out evening, make sure to go to the light and sound show on the riverbank and have a chilled out dinner. Don't miss the Buddha tour even though it is quite a journey but it is worth it.

Get a guide or a good guide book for this city as it is quite extensive and distances between sites/shopping centres can be deceiving.

Shopping Tip : Local Chinese open market is just 1 block away from this hotel.

We went to 4 different hotels during our stay in Thailand and the Grand China Hotel offered the best breakfast and an overall excellent value for money with a close proximity to the main tourist sites.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The ferry boats are just 5 minutes walk from the hotel and can take you to most tourist attractions for a few bahts.
