great service and friendly, very helpful staff good location in the city great breakfast in choice and quality good facilities in/around hotel

a little expensive for what you get at times the hotel is getting a bit old and some parts are in need of renovation, like the bathrooms! the 'rooftop-pool' is is more like a rooftop bathtub, really, it's small, very much so!

The Princess is a great hotel, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and great service, great breakfast and some good and handy facilities like a UPS office on the ground floor, a beautiful massage spa and other good features. It's surroundings are ok with good access to central Bangkok. The upper floors provide great views of the entire city. The room I stayed at was decent and clean with a balcony and awesome vies of the city, however, the bathroom was not up to scratch, to say the least...Some dirty and rusty fittings and mould in the gaps between the tiles is not what I expected for a hotel in that price range in Asia! But all in all it was a very positive experience to stay at THE PRINCESS and the bathroom was the only real issue I had there and, who knows, since I have only seen one room so far, maybe it was just the unlucky one with the grungy bathroom, you just never know! otherwise it is a recommendable hotel!

Excellent rooms Great Service Nice market nearby

No shops to speak of except gold shops Breakfast was catered mainly for the Asian market

This was a very nice hotel in Chinatown but a bit out of the main areas. There was a market nearby but no shops to speak of except gold shops. Breakfast was OK but it was catered mainly for the Asian taste rather than European.

Restaurant Tip : There is a little restaurant in the lobby (not the bakery one) don't go there it's very dirty and the food is bad.

Fantastic rooms with city views, great rooftop pool, excellent location, attentive staff and the best breakfast buffet in Thailand!

Some of the bar pricing was like the top floor revolving restaurant (sky high).

From check in to check out the staff were accommodating; the room we had was brilliant: large with panoramic city views (and a comfy bed). Included breakfast rivaled any I've had worldwide and the location is also fantastic in the middle of Chinatown. Highly recommended - especially for the price!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You are in Chinatown!

-central positioning. -good service. -fun shopping mall in the first 3 floors.

-no heat in the rooms (only cooling so when the temp outside dropped to 20 you couldn't get it to 24!) -10 minute walk to the river. -sky train is a long walk away.

We found that the food in the restaurant was excellent value for money. Prompt, tasty, and reasonably priced. We employed room service several times and it was prompt and of reasonable quality. Service was courteous, prompt, and friendly. The river access point was a 10-minute walk. There were many ATM's within easy walking distance, and the China town district is on your doorstep. The pool on the roof was fun but small. Rooms were more than spacious enough for our purposes. If you wanted to save a bit of money on food the mini-shopping mall in the 2nd and 3rd floors offered massages, goods of all kind, food, and clothing services at reasonable prices.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware the tuk-tuk scam! ALWAYS use a traditional cab - cheaper and air-conditioned.

Spacious and clean rooms, nice rooftop swimming pool.

Location for those with interests away from the Sukhumvit part of Bangkok.

This was my first visit to Bangkok and I was very surprised that this small hotel had such nice accommodations. My wife and I had a large and comfortable room which far exceeded our expectations for the price paid (we are used to Hong Kong hotels with high prices for small rooms). We only stayed one night because we were going to Chiang Mai, but we would not hesitate to visit this hotel if we return to Bangkok.

location's nice.

This is a typical touristy hotel in the China Town section of Bangkok. Easily commutable to good shopping. The breakfast buffet in the morning is decent. They were particularly accommodating with the unusual circumstance of the airport being shut down for a week and went out of the way to cater to their guests to make such an inconvenience as comfortable as possible.

Great value. Good location. Clean, spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Good location in Chinatown. Very clean, smart hotel with excellent service. Extremely good value for money. I stayed here for 2 nights, 1 night either side of a 3 week holiday in Thailand.

Nightlife Tip : For shopping and nightlife go to pat pong (i think thats how its said), excellent night life. Don't pay more than 150 baht in a tuk-tuk from china town.

the view

noisy air con

Large and comfortable room with a great view, if only it rotated like the restaurant on the 25th floor does. room service was good and prompt at all hours, and the buffet breakfast was large and varied. The hotel is well positioned for the markets that flood the back streets and alleys, streets of fabrics and silks, gold shops and plenty of food nearby.

Walk to the river

Overall I have no Cons

I found the hotel clean and the staff frendly to deal with. If your after the gold dealers then it only a short walk down the road. It is amazing for a country that you are lead to belive that the majority of the people are paid a very minumium wage per month , the gold dealers where 2 deep to get to the counter. A good Hotel Value for the money Paid

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Easy walk to the river boats

Close to the china town shops

Non realy

Its a nice big hotel with all the amenities and comfort provided to the guest, plenty of choices for breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is located not far from the tourist place and shopping center. Easy access to anywhere by taxi. This hotel is worth the value.

Pretty close to everything. Plenty of taxis and tut-tuts at the door. Good taxi service from hotel. Great breakfast which was included.

Didn't like the porter, tried to get us to go on a trip he would organise for factory outlet jewellery and silk products.

We were given complimentary water every day, an orchid and lolly on the pillow every day, which was a nice touch. Restaurant meals cheap and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly. There is a little cafe and a bakery in the hotel complex which has a very good variety of foods cakes and pastries. There are a few other shops in the complex also. Something I did find amusing was the fortune teller sitting in the lobby. The housekeeping staff were very thorough and always had a smile.

Shopping Tip : Plenty of souvenir shops around that area. Nice lounge in the hotel where you can sit in air conditioned comfort and have a drink.

Fantastic view (15th floor), great location!!

The internet connection is not the best.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Never pay more than 150-200 baht per tuk-tuk ride in the centre of the city. If they only ask you around 50 baht, be ready to stop in a couple of shops before you get to your destination!! The drivers get a commission if you buy something!

Buffet Breakfast, View from room

Swimming pool

This is a typical 4 star hotel in Thailand. It represented good value for money. Good location in the centre of China Town, near to train station. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. The lunch buffet disapponted but off the menu the food was good and represented value for money. The gym was adequate with helpful trainers, friendly and made you feel you belonged. The swimming pool - is a dipping pool - it is small, suitable to cool off only. NOT suitable for children, who love to play about - in fact it is quite dangerous. The housekeeping is second to none and the staff unobtrusive but attentive. Ignore the tuk-tuk drivers loitering outside they're happy to take anyone for a ride - if you let em!

Shopping Tip : Tesco Lotus nearby. Lobby restaurant
