In the breakfast hall they should keep veg and non veg items separately. My overall impression of the hotel is very good. I will definitelyk recommend this hotel to my freinds. This hotel is guest freindly and massage is fantastic. One of the best hotels in BKK.
Shopping Tip : Great location for shopping electronic items and ready made garments.

All basic feature that you can think of GRAND Diamond have it. I like the room cost it very cosy feel like it your home. Nothing for me to say about the dislike part. The hotel location is fantastic it near the HEART of the BANGKOK which you can easily access. Hotel is very Clean and neat, Reception is very friendly. Room is very Cosy, Restaurant food is nice and the swimming pool is neat and clean. Bell boy is very friendly and helpful. Good view to stay which you can see far in the room.

Good Breakfast None that I can think of. We were surprise to see that our accomodation is not just a hotel room with beds but with a small kitchen, dining area, and a living room seperated from the bedroom! It was really awesome!
We were able to smoke in the dining room without having the cigarette smell inside the bedroom.
Hotel location is good, near shopping centers.
Breakfast is good, lot of food choices, we had fun.
Service is good.

Breakfate, food, room service was excellent. Spa was very good too. Cleanness, Staff who checked us in was not very good. We felt like she was lieing to us. We wanted non-smokeing room but she gave us smoking room. Lied to us and told us she doesn't have any room but did give us one after calling agoda. Staff was not good. Hotel not that clean. We had a reservation with agoda and the check in staff was not cooperative, since we arrived late and she told us she did not have a room for us. She told us the hotel was full. I told her we pre-paid and I have to have a room, then I made her call agoda.com and then she gave us a room but it was smoking. We wanted non-smoking, we couldn't sleep becuase of the smell. Breakfast was good so we were happy.

Good location- good value for money! Room size good. LCD flat screen TV. Conveniently accessible to MBK and Siam Paragon via tuk-tuk or taxi. he hotel is getting old and tired needs a re-vamp, the bed was so hard I had to use pillows to sleep on. Internet WiFi should be free same as other hotels. The hotel is not what you expect from looking at the photos on their website; the place is in need of a renovation. Every time we passed by the reception, there were always a lot of people waiting to get help. lack of plates, silverware, cookware in the kitchenette (that includes a microwave) inside room completely useless.

A lot of shopping market around. It's a good ideal for everyone who love Shopping. the picture of the rooms and the reality is a little bit different. the noise from the car and the pollution are very annoy. This hotel have a good location for the people who love shopping. the room is clean. The breakfast is wonderful. You even can have sushi in the morning. the staff is very helpful. it take 2 minutes to the whole sale market. 10 minutes walking to Center point and Big C. We will come back and stay here again.
Shopping Tip : Big C, Pratunam Center, Center Point, City Complex.

Very good shopping base. Nice massage. House wine is terrible and expensive considering the poor quality. I went down for dinner one night and was not brought a menu. After half an hour I asked why not, and they apologised and said they were very busy. 2 tables of diners is all I could see, so either they lied or they are just very disorganised. I then said I would order food from my room. I did so, and an hour later, very hungry, called to find out where my food was. They had forgotten. I went down to the restaurant to discuss it with them, and seemed to find it very funny. Needless to say I was not impressed, and by that time it was too late to eat out. Again, they said they had been really busy, but if they can't find 5 minutes to make a sandwich, I feel they should be rethinking their service and prep methods!!
I did talk to the manager about it, and many apologies were given. They eventually did not charge me for the wine, but only after I laughingly suggested that it was a bit rude to charge me for it when I could not drink it, and when they had treated me so poorly with regards to ordering food.
This hotel is situated perfectly for shopping. Right next to most of the places you'll want to go. The rooms are reasonable, and the pool pleasant enough. I had a very good oil massage while I was there.
The rooms were OK. Not very modern, but good amenities, kitchenette etc and everything worked. Not good television (minimal watchable programs for westerners), but I did not mind about that.
Travel tip : Be aware that the tuk-tuk drivers will want to take you to lots of places so they can get free petrol vouchers. You have to be quite firm with them, and even then some of them will get a bit cross and refuse to take you any where other than where they want to take you. I would suggest taking a meter taxi whenever you can, and make sure you get them from an official taxi rank or they are likely to try to overcharge you.
Also, to get to airport and back, get a meter taxi, not a "limousine" taxi. It cost me about 400 Baht to get to my hotel, and only about 300 Baht to get back. The toll charges are only about 60 baht returning to airport, so don't be conned into thinking otherwise!

Excellent and efficient Reception is always a plus to start a stay; good but tired rooms. Excellent massage service and amazingly good value room service. All in all very good value. Rooms and common parts a bit tired and the street noise might be a problem for some rooms. My room was located to the rear of the hotel but even then the street noise was evident as from 6.00 am As stated above the greeting I received was 5 star and they tried vey hard to keep the guests happy. I had come to this hotel after a stay at a rather disappointing boutique hotel where everything was on the cheap side of inexpensive and where the food was awful and the facilities zero. The room at the diamond was far superior -- even if a little tired-- and they had a pleasant bar, excellent room service, a decent gym and a very good massage service -- all at a price that was amazingly low. The only major negative is the noisy location.

Hotel had great cleaning staff, an awesome breakfast and rooms were quite clean and came at a great price. The management staff and some people at the front desk weren't always the most helpful when it came to things such as tours. Tried overcharging at an ungodly rate. Also needed to get in touch with the hotel and the number provided always came back as disconnected. All in all it was an great hotel, the price was quite reasonable for 2 people, the morning meal was more than satisfactory, your surrounded by street bazaars and the wholesale district and there's an upscale mall just around the corner if you get tired out door vendors. But if you must book your own tours or just take the 511 bus to the bus terminal and leave from there and save 800 bahts in travel alone to northern Thailand.

Very near (In fact just next) to Pratunam shopping mall, within 5 min of walking distance.
Staffs are friendly, they help us to hire cab, so that we do not need to the side of the road to hire cab.
The overall experience is still considered good. We would like to request late check out at 4pm, Unfortunate, they only allow us to have late check out until 2pm.
Our bathroom is very small as compare the other room which we have book.
Hotel morning buffet is okay, however, serve the same food every morning. Get tired of eating the food during my last day. Cannot be choosy or fussy when it is for the price of SGD5 per person and it is buffet. Sushi is not fresh enough. We took a cab from airport to hotel, cost around 300 THB. We have inform the driver to run by meter. It cost around 220 THB but the driver request for 300 THB. And the trip cost 500THB to travel from hotel to airport. Not cheap!!
Seems like the taxi driver don't wana charged using meter during their so call peak timing (probably 2pm - 9pm). They will give a fix price.
Shopping Tip : And it is also near centreworld mall. Walking distance, around 10 min. The opposite is big C.
Things are very cheap in Pratunam shopping mall, it is a paradise for people who likes to shop and on budget.

-Room was very clean and roomy.
-House keeping was very nice and did a very good job on keeping the room neat and tidy.
-Perfect place to stay if you want to shop & shop & shop all day. All the good shopping malls are nearby. You can pretty much walk to almost all of the malls. (ex. Platinum Mall, Central World, Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK, and of course the Pratunam market which is the wholesale market where you get everything for cheap if you buy a lot.
Service at the front desk is also good. If you don't know you're way around they are always welcome to help and greet you with a friendly smile.
- Needs some upgrading with the furniture's, everything is quite old. Not as fancy as it sounds when you hear the name "Grand Diamond". When i first booked the hotel online I read other peoples pros and cons about the hotel. Some people rated quite bad for a 4 star hotel, so I thought to myself "hmmm" is it really THAT bad? But I mean, you really never know until you see it with your own eyes. So I decided to go ahead and see it for myself and it wasn't bad at all!! The room was big and clean and service was great, people were friendly and helpful. And best of all, all the good shopping malls are nearby, what more can you ask for? You get a lot of exercise from walking malls to malls and eat good food and also save a lot of taxi money. I would definitely go back to this hotel again next time for my next visit to Thailand.

Near to fashion wholesale centre and accessable to the shopping centre My Hubby and I were in Bangkok early in the morning and hopefully that we can get in our hotel room immediately once we arrive, and to our surprise, a warm welcome by the front desk staff and our room is ready.
Talking in term of the location and service, there is only 1 word to describe : BEST!!
We like the hotel rooms and feel very homely and can have our mind relax. The breakfast is fantastic.
Shopping Tip : When you are travelling at bangkok, please do not response to any touting of tuk tuk dirvers. They will bring to else where so that they can earn some commission out of it.
