easy access every where. shopping at walking distance. very very convenience.
wholesales center is next building only. lot of fashion cloths, shoes, accessories.

Great location but horrible service

the only plus points with the hotel are its location and the pretty good breakfast. the front desk staffs need a major training in customer service. they tried to cheat us about the extra bed charge. i prefer the old grand diamond hotel as it is cleaner and more comfortable. now it is full of shops and people walking around, it doesn't feel like a 'suite' hotel with such a price to pay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There are tour agents on the lobby. You can bargain with them on their pricing, especially if you're in a group

In shopping complex, suites very comfortable, comprehensive kitchen facilities.

as we live in thailand this hotel is one of our favourites when we come to bangkok shopping and we have stayed here several times. the suites, with their well equipped kitchen are perfect for families needing to heat food or cater for babies and kids.
the grand diamond is flanked by the platinum mall shopping complex so you hardly need to get out of bed to do your shopping! a downside of this is that it is difficult to pick out the hotel reception desk at busy times as the shoppers bustle through the reception area. security is an issue here so watch your baggage. otherwise, once in the lift, you need the hotel keycard to operate it so only guests can reach the upper floors. breakfast is a fantastic spread and is well laid out so there is plenty of seating and no queues. evening meals are a bit limited in choice - unless you like chinese food that is. - ok for adults but limited choice for kids. best option is to get what you want to eat at seven eleven nearby and use the room cooking facilities to make the meals for the youngsters.
no major criticism about this hotel - a good choice for shopping.

Strongly recommend as its right smack in the middle of the shopping arena. Walking distance to many shopping areas and food places. Train station about 15mins walk away.
Spacious rooms and comfy beds, however lighting is not too strong, facilities are kind of old, but acceptable for short stay.

The one bedroomed suite was very large, more like a apartment.
The hotel is on a very busy street, loads of shopping centres at your doorstep,all around.
The staff were very helpful, especially the guy on the door, who gave me some tips on the area.
Pandip plaza is about 1 mins walk from from the hotel,so great for tech heads.
A nice 10 min walk to the central city shopping centre with more shops and stalls on the way.
if you want to be close to all the retail shops, this hotel is perfect.!!!
Travel tip:
Bring an extra suitcase for your shopping...you will need it.!!!!

The living room is spacious but unexpectedly, air-conditioning is not working at all and rather old for comfort. The lift lobby is at confine space for very little movement to cater for more than 10 people excluding luggages. The plus point, located very near to Platinum Mall and about 5 - 10 min walk to Central World.
Restaurant Tip:
A lot of restaurants at Central World, spoilt for choice.
