great location but old decorum in the hotel room
near to the shopping malls; good for shopping spree.

Overall the stay at Grand Diamond suite is still acceptable given it great location for shopping. I was disappointed when I checked into the room as I was expecting a much nicely renovated room. The room woody furniture gave a dirty impression which I dun like.

the breakfast buffet was good, a lot of choice but it was too cold to eat inside, i do not understand why they turned on the air-conditioning so high, it was really cold !!!

the hotel is just located next to platinum mall, which means we could walk over, shop, return to hotel and drop our shopping! it was that convenient!
the room was quite big as it was a suite and it came with a living room, a kitchenette, a bathroom with bathtub and a separate showers, and a tv that can be turned to face the living room or the bed. it was comfortable and roomy.
we loved the buffet breakfast too. there was a wide variety from dim sum, congee, to intercontinental food. fruits were fresh and plenty.
we did a massage in the hotel. it was not too bad, and the environment was quite comfortable. however, they did ask for tips, so do prepare some small change.
overall quite a good hotel. we would recommend it to anyone who has a little more budget and would enjoy the convenience of shopping!
Travel tip:
If you are coming from the airport, either get transport from the hotel or take a taxi as it is quite a walk away from the train station. (about 15 minutes along narrow and squeezy alleys.)

a good day starts with a good breakfast at the hotel. so much variety to chose from. couldnt finish trying everything. good shopping areas for plus size clothing and accessories at city plaza (opposite platinum mall). value for money lunch at the food court of platinum mall. love the tom yum seafood. always have 2 bowls. super spicy and super sour. shiok. for the night, the street food was pretty good too esp the kebab.

Super convenient just beside Platinum!

I love the great location to many shopping centers, particularly Platinum, which is just beside it. If you are a shopping addict I would say the Grand Diamond Plaza Suites Hotel is the best choice.

Middle range hotel with ok services. However, certain item is too old (I.e noisy air-con, heater not working and hair dryer is not working as well)
Shopping Tip:
It's just next to platinum fashion mall and walking distance to central world plaza

Great location, take the BTS from Airport to Ratchaprarop Station and walk 10 minutes to Grand Diamond hotel.
Average furniture

Shopping Tip:
Platinum Mall for whole sale goods (ladies will love this)

Good location for stay to shop in Bangkok

Lively location, but somewhat run-down rooms
Location - in a bustling part of town with easy access to other locations and subway/skytrain

Staff was friendly and approachable. However, the asked for twin-bed room was not available as requested....
The appearance of the rooms online is somewhat deceiving, as these were more run down than expected.
Entrance to a hotel had the disappointing appearance of a shopping mall, but on the plus side a bank machine and one of the multiple Starbucks were available downstairs.

The hotel was spacious, the shower is not good, the spray is very weak..
there is no free wifi at Bangkok, so even at the hotel and starbucks you still have to pay for wifi.
don't buy wifi voucher at hotel because it is expensive comparing wifi voucher that starbucks offered.
there is so many street snacks around hotel, and they are very good taste and price.
next to this hotel is Pantip plaza, the center for your digital needs, laptops, computers, hard disk and many2 more
