Great services appartments and location
10
We have stayed at this Serviced apartment/hotel many times over the last several years. The rooms and bathrooms are huge, clean and very comfortable. The location is great with lots of excellent shopping nearby and a 10 minute walk to the skyrail.
There are some excellent restaurants within a 15 mintute walk.
Despite being on a busy road rooms are quiet but ask for a room on a top floor to ensure no traffic noise if you are a really light sleeper. Breakfast buffet is excellent, one of the best I have come across in Asia.
Avoid dinner/lunch in the Restaurant as is expensive and better value is to be had elsewhere.
Travel tip:
For a special upmarket meal of excellent Thai food try these places.

Great hotel
Location Location Location!
7.7
Hotel location was great! Room was big and spacious! Would stay there again!
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel's massage centre could have been better. Masseurs were not skilled and yet they demanded for tips. What a shame, the hotel stay had to end on a bad note.

Hotel with Huge room
The rooms are huge, very suitable for family stay. Platinum fashion shopping mall is next to the hotel
6.7
Rooms are huge but furniture are a bit old. Waited a long time for the lift but overall location is good except the traffic jam in front of the hotel.Value for money though.

it's a perfect place to stay! they serve great breakfast buffet selection, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating.
will certainly stay here again! they also have a mini mall on the ground floor of the hotel, the grand diamond plaza, the food court there is not so good though.
Shopping Tip:
bring a small trolley if you're shopping for wholesale stuffs

Fantastic location but small rooms
Proximity to many wholesale shops & malls, close to many food outlets, plenty of taxis to hop into
7.3
This will be my 3rd stay at this hotel but my 1st staying in their suite. I went there with 3 other friends and we chose to stay in the suite because it had 2 bedrooms and all of us could hang out in the living area.
The breakfast was to be desired, and tasted extremely average. We ate it because it came with the room stay and we really just wanted to fill up our tummies and gear ourselves for a day of shopping ahead. Its decent though, if you're not after gourmet or a change in variety everyday. (note: go for the bread selection, egg section for the more safe choices)
There's cable TV on a nice flat screen so you needn't worry about being cooped up in your hotel room every evening.
Shopping Tip:
If you're on a tight budget, I suggest you hop over to the Pratunam area (which is across from Platinum and you can access to using the pedestrian bridge) first as the clothes and accessories there are at least 100 baht cheaper than the ones in Platinum. I reckon it is because there is hardly any air-conditioning, most of the places are open air which will leave you hot & sticky (that's the open area market).
But if you want to shop in comfort all the way, Platinum Mall is your best bet. You can shop till your hands get tired, go back to the hotel and drop off your things, maybe try or check an item or two (just in case you want to go back to the shop to change to a new piece or bigger size), refresh yourself before going back to the mall of cheap & fashionable shopping :)

very convenient location

8.3
It was a nice hotel to stay cos the location was superB. it's right next to platinum, and surrounding night markets.
I just felt the bedroom could be bigger, kitchen & living room was a waste cos we never used it.
but overall the experience was pleasant.

Best Location Hotel in Bangkok
Best Location, Best Breakfast, Reasonable Price
8.7
It's been our 5th time stay in Grand Diamond Hotel. We always love its location @pratunam area. For Shopping mania, this hotel is a heaven. It's located just next to Platinum Shopping mall (fashion wholesale), opposite of Pratunam Market, 5-10minutes drive to Mahboonkrong, Siam Paragon, Siam Square, etc. Very convenient !!
The breakfast is amazing. They had japanese food, chinese food, thai food, american breakfast, etc.. and all are delicious.
If you book a 2 bedroom apartment, the living room will be quite big. but if you book a 1 bedroom apartment, the room is quite small.
