This is an average standard hotel in a very busy location. Separate kitchen/ living area with m/wave sink fridge etc. Good flatscreen TVs in both living and bedroom. Rooms are clean, well maintained but old. Breakfast choices are huge.Food is good. Great location for shop-a-holics otherwise Bangkok was not a great place to visit. Beware of pick-pockets in streets near hotel. Friend had wallet stolen just around cnr from hotel.

Great Location but Lobby is too public now

I love Grand Diamond because of its condotel features. I like that I have a bedroom separate from receiving area. Its perfect for couples or even solo business travelers. You get to have your quiet moment if you're traveling as a couple at the same time, for business travelers, you can work at the living room and sleep in the bedroom. Its like having an office space in your room complete with a fax machine. The internet charges is a bit off if you're travelling for a week since the unlimited package lasts for 15 days. The packages offered for unlimited internet use is 3 days then skips to 15 days, but then again its all good.
The breakfast area becomes crowded at around 9am. Make sure to come in by 830 or 930.
What I don't like about the hotel now is that they have shopping stalls on the lobby already. Its cool that Starbucks is there but I don't like that the lobby is too public now. It feels like I'm living in a Mall. I think this poses as a security problem too. Although there are elevator access cards, the influx of people shopping would make it harder to control the security.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The massage offered on the 9th floor (?) is not bad. There are better massage places but this one I'd rate a 9.

Diamond Suites
Its lobby is a Mall, if that works for you

I expected something rather different. So I was disappointed. The suites are actually a big room sliced into 2 small rooms. Some suites are better... we were shifted to a better one finally. Staff is helpful but I have to say I would have shifted to another hotel if I had not paid money upfront.

Lovely Hotel and service with a smile

Hotel is centrally located, nearby are all shopping centres, massage palours, food courts, night markets etc.
Great breakfast but prefers to have changes in menu daily eg. Monday, Tuesday and so on. so guests like us who will stay in hotel for 3 or 4 days will get to eat different breakfast daily.
Rooms are clean and we have stayed in this hotel for more than 6 times.

The description on the website indicated something rather different so at the time of check in I was disappointed. The suites is really a room with a wall in between making it two small rooms. The Airconditioning in both rooms kept going off. We had to call for repairs repeatedly. It was either too hot or too cold as the thermostat could not be set. There is a Mall in the lobby & a food court somewhere on the 5th floor that makes the whole feel of the hotel a bit tacky.The fitness center did not have airconditioning.... I could go on...
