In need of a slight renovation. Nice, moderately clean business hotel convenient to public transport. Stayed here primarily for the location as I was in town to pick up a visa at the nearby China Embasssy. Located within the Fortune Town Building Shopping Complex and just beside the metro line (Station PHRA RAM 9)with quick, easy access to all points throughout the city. Also near the expressway for relatively fast access to the new airport.

Great position to easily access either taxis or the MRT train service and so near to department stores and shopping areas. I found nothing that I disliked We checked in for the first room at lunchtime and the second late in the evening. The staff were more than helpful with our special requests and were very polite and courteous. I found that the general position of the hotel was great if we needed to jump in a taxi or get on the MRT train which has a station right outside the hotel entrance, also you are next door to the Fortune shopping complex which I loved and only 5 mins walk from Esplanade, Jusco and Robinsons. A great reasonably priced hotel close to all important amenities.
Shopping Tip : Take the MRT train, right outside the hotel and you have many shopping areas only one stop away. You can buy a pass which is cheaper and you can travel all day.

Close to Shopping & entertainment areas Very oldish feel,paint peeling off in the rooms,very poor staff communication skills,Half the television channels not working,all in all not a good hotel Was misled by the conceirge,was advised to pay the cab 1800 bahts for a one way trip to Pattaya while the true cost was exactly the half of it.Unfriendly reception.Book again?Thanks but No Thanks!!!

Excellent Location,connecting a complex amusement bulding.(Tesco Lotus,IT mall,Thai foot massage,and so on) The receptionist level weren't high.
Old building.The streets in front of the hotel is very crowdy all the day.(except in the middle of the night) Excellent location,good price... thats all.The hotel is renovated recently but quit old buliding,If you make inportance to the convinence, it would be wonderful choice.Don't expect too much about Staff service and the facilities in the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are so many unfortunate on the street. Rather than giving money, It's better to give some foods or clothes instead.All of the money goes to the bad organizations!!!!

Room Service staff were prompt and did a good job This time our check inw as not as friendly as in the past.
The coffee at breakfast is sometimes overbrewed. We enjoy staying at the Grand Mecure Fortune Hotel in Bangkok because staff are generally friendly, they try to accommodate our needs and are willing to seek to rectify any problems. The buffet breakfast is a good variety. The location - beside Fortune Mall and near the BTS station, and ease of access to the airport are very positive features for us because we are usually on business trips takign rest for a few days.

This hotel is adjacent to the shopping center.Moreover, the location is connect to subway, so it is easy to advoid the traffic jam in Bangkok.

good and strategic location, have big shopping mall beside with almost everything inside. This hotel has a very good location. It is located in Rachadaphisek Road, which is one of the main road in Bangkok. The IT mall is just located beside the hotel, with the passageway located inside the hotel. The hotel surroundings are quite complete. Have a big supermarkets, food courts, travel agents, banks and so on. If you are looking for a strategic and convenient place to stay, you might want to consider this hotel as your choice.

Good position, good service, attentive staff, beautiful layout and building, good facilities both in hotel and nearby. Food in downstairs restaurant not so good but service excellent. I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would stay there again (in fact will stay there again very soon)and of course I would recommend this hotel to friends, family and colleagues. Whilst being a little far from central Bangkok it is located very well with good facilities and amenities in and around the hotel. Transport very good indeed so getting to other places was easy and efficient. Five star!!

Scary
Not well ventilated Going up to the hotel rooms gave you a feeling of an old grand hotel past its prime. The lightings in hallways are so dim and with the dark carpetings, makes you feel uncomfortable walking alone at night. The room smelled like it had never been opened to guests for quite some time and it took a while for the A/C to remove the old smell (Or I probably just got used to it).
The restaurant downstairs though are pretty good and access to the MRT train makes moving around Bangkok pretty convenient.

Good location and has the advantage of shopping mall being attachwed to hotel complex Their internet booking system did not work for me and took many phone calls and further e mails before I finally received a reply from them to say they had not received my reservation. Was amazed at how long it took for the hotel to answer my e mails and phone calls before finally admitting they had not received my online reservation or credit card details. Not wanting to take another chance at giving my credit card details on the net again to them, I booked through Agoda and received a cheaper rate and much better response!!!
Shopping Tip : Very good shopping mall in the hotel complex

- Reasonable price
- Quite inconvenient to go from car park to hotel Lobby. Unless you've got the parking in front of the hotel, you'll have to go to the parking garage and walk down the stair with your luggages, enter the lift down to the lobby. Great service at reasonable price. I made some mistake in booking and the hotel staff, with great help from Agoda helped me throught it. Better than that, i've got an upgraded room! Thank you!

A good central Hotel with easy access to the underground train. Had a key card problem but the staff sorted it immediatley I was very happy with the Hotel itself and the Thai staff at the hotel, most spoke a little English and made the effort to be curteous to us. They were all very well dressed and helpful at every oppurtunity. I have been in many Hotels in Bangkok and I found this one very good with the MRT station outside the main entrance. Room service was excellant and quick and were open 24 hours.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the MRT(Underground Train)to get around Bangkok, it connects easily with the BTS trains and is cheap and easy to use, you will save much time instead of sitting in traffic jams.
