Room is old. Could be a lot better for the money.
This hotel definitely does not live up to the "Mercure" brand. The hallway had a musty smell and the room was old and dreary. The hotel staff was just so so, not too cheerful or especially friendly. For the same money in the Sukhumvit area, you could definitely do better at another hotel.

Central location, clean, and roomy.
Make sure to lock all your money and credit cards in the safe. We had some cash in other currencies along with one or two credit cards that were not stored in the safe that were stolen.
Called the manager and after checking the digital lock, they told us that only the maids had entered, and they could do nothing about it.

Very good breakfast (great choice).
Rooms are quite small, but clean.
Good location, 10 min walk from the metro station, easy to access from the airport; lots of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood; very nice breakfast; friendly service although not always with good English (not a problem though).
They often have good deals, even in high season.

- Confortable room
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Internet access is too expensive
The room was small but comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to public transportation stations such as the SKY train, business and entertainment areas. It is also located in a walking distance from the famous Emporium department store, a 7-eleven and a Family-Mart...
Unfortunately you can only use the Internet using pre-paid cards, but 400 THB / 2 Hour Card it is too expensive and besides the computers are old and slow; they need to be upgraded.
Restaurant Tip : Good Indian restaurant across the street

I would not stay at this hotel again, as it was not worth the price and there are many other better options in Bangkok. I would suggest tile instead of carpet to get rid of the musty smell. It is ok for a business traveller on a short stay.

Good location. Nice rooms (if you get upgraded). Nice pool area.
Located on a very noisy soi.
Once I was upgraded to a room on the 17th floor I found this hotel to fine (much quieter up there). But, on the lower floors it is noisy, especially with some of the tour groups that frequent the hotel. The rooms are nice and comfortable--make sure to get one with a sofa. Staff is ok, but they wold not let me take my breakfast to my room so I could get some work done in the morning, which was annoying.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go through the Queen Sirkit hotel and across the park to get to the sky train station and the emporium department station. Nice Japanese and British restaurants across from the department store.

Hotel is conveniently located in a nice street across from the Queen's Park Hotel. If you want to go to the skytrain, cut through the Queen's Park lobby and go through the back door. It will take you to a park next to the BTS skytrain station. There is also an excellent restaurant close by called Bourbon Street which has Cajun, Mexican, Thai and American food. Ask the bellboy for directions. May Massage is a nice massage shop close by with none of the "funny business."

- Location in the center, close to everything to explore Bangkok - a beautiful modern hotel decorated with taste - the pool is large with a beautiful view over the city - the superior room with a beautiful view and the window that allows you to see the City of Bath - lovely staff - the street outside the hotel at night was awesome and very pleasant with great choices for dining and massages an hour to 5 euros!
difficult to find weaknesses - conditioning a little too bright - perfect breakfast, but orange juice which tasted not good industrial (s waiting on a fresh juice)
a stay of 2 days the mercury very pleasant. when one is in the discovery of the city of Bangkok still noisy, bustling, it's nice to return to the hotel. Its luxurious atmosphere, very "lounge" is serene and very refined. We really enjoyed the pool with views overlooking the city. A central hotel close to where we all come back without hesitation
Nightlife Tip : there is a park for 5 minutes on foot. Very pleasant to walk around at night when it is cooler. There are many people who play sports and a lot of frogs around the pond central .... "central" park very pleasant / why not finish with a massage with hot herbal compresses (great choice on the street from the hotel) ... divine

Close to BTS station. Staff friendly. The reception staff are available in Japanese. Delicious breakfast. Delicious Italian pizza restaurant. Poole is also stylish and beautiful rooms. You can leave the car was waiting in the parking lot in front of the hotel.
Close to BTS station is near, and walk in its own way.
The rooms are clean and comfort. The beautiful lobby. The breakfast menu is extensive, and can make eggs on the spot. We recommend the croissants.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is conveniently near many massage shops.
