The room is clean. The staff are all very kind.

There was a smoking smell inside the room.

It is so easy to find the hotel. We could buy any life goods from 7-eleven or Family-Mart just besides the hotel. The hotel room is clean, but it got a smoking smell inside. We got welcome drinks, and the staff are all very kind. They arranged us a free car to BTS station, and wrote us the address of next hotel in Thailand character. We took a very nice breakfast inside the hotel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Just near the Emporium(BTS E5), and you can walk through a park to get there before 21:00.

Location, nice compact rooms.

Business Centre, Elevators

Stayed at the GMPA several times now with no problems, but things are slipping there. One of the only two guest elevators was out service causing lengthy waits and many irate guests. The 'Business Centre' in the lobby is a joke. You can only use the Internet using pre-paid cards, but 400 THB / 2 Hour Card is a bit steep and the computers are so slow that you probably need an hour to do 15 minutes work... Far better to go to the many Internet Cafes in Soi 22 or towards Washington Square. I'm planning to stay there again next month because Agoda gave a good price on those dates, but 4* Hotels in Bangkok are very competeitive at the moment and there are some very good deals out there - better hotels than GMPA for the same money or less.

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't use the Business Centre for Internet - local cafe's much cheaper (and better).

Really nice reception and wellcome.

rooms were clean but a bit dated and in need of modernising.

Even the hotels free tuk tuk driver was a con man and obviously on comission at a few resturants. I really didn't expect to be given the run around by our hotel staff. On the othe hand on arrival at the hotel we we treated very well and given complimentry drinks and generaly treated well. Not a great location if you have kids as the street is full of hostess bars.

Travel tip : very easy acsess to the sky train

good price, nice rooms, good location

Small elevator

Very good location, close to many restraunts, laundry and bars. Service is good, rooms are clean and linins changed daily. Maids work to your schedule and do not wake you up at 8 am to clean ( for you late nighters ). Always a cab available outside day or night and the door personnel are very friendly. Never a wait at the front desk to check out

Nightlife Tip : Use the moto bikes taxi if your brave

Location is good, everything you need is nearby.

Slow in internet access. Thats was the only fault!

This hotel is very good all round. The deluxe rooms are worth the extra money. The hotel feels safe, like your being looked after. I'm not a business traveller, just a normal tourist, and I never felt like I didnt belong there, like I have done in some other high end hotels. The staff are polite and helpful, rooms are very clean with good views. I did stay in a smoking room here once when they were fully booked and it did smell a bit of smoke but not a major problem. Pool is on the side of the building and is very nice.

Clean, safe, friendly. Reliable place to stay and pretty convenient

some rroms a bit tired and avoid rooms with a connecting door

I like this hotel. I've stayed in a few in Bangkok and this is the one I go back too. Not the best, not the cheapest, but clean, safe and friendly. The location is fine for me and it strikes a good balance of cost/value. Food in OK in the restaurant and the Indian restaurant next door is fine if a bit expensive. The area is a bit off the beaten track, but that only means a 3 min walk to the main shopping areas

Restaurant Tip : The Dubliner - good food a nd live music (OK, one man) Tuesday and Friday

Again, friendly staff

Dated, old hotel.

Same reviewer as below, different stay. Ate at the Italian restaurant in the hotel. Pasta had been mircowaved and the pizza was terrible. They used chinese sausage instead of the 'italian sausage' listed. No flavour to the pizza, soggy and almost no cheese.

Friendly staff, good fitness faciltiy

Very dated elevator, hallways and rooms.

The hotel rooms do not look like the website at all, and the staff made an excuse right away that you need to pay US25 extra to upgrdade to that room. The rooms were clean enough, but pay $10 or $20 more and get a nice hotel. This feels like a 2-star max.

This hotel was not bad. But for about $20 - $50 more a night, you can get a lot nicer at a 5 star hotel. I don't think 4 star means the same in Thailand as in the US
