This hotel was not bad. But for about $20 - $50 more a night, you can get a lot nicer at a 5 star hotel. I don't think 4 star means the same in Thailand as in the US

Hotel a litle older , rooms ok, but I find other hotel in Bkk, cheaper and better. I have stayed in Mercure hotels in other places in Thailand, with quite another standard.

- Shopping Tip : Take the skytrain to Siam Square. All the big malls are there. Check out Pantip Plaza behind Central World (short walk). It's computers/electronics heaven at some of the cheapest prices I've seen!
it is just okay

The location for Grand Mercure Park Avenue is good. Ten minutes walk from BTS station Prom Phong, and there are lots shops/stores around this area (spa/restaurant/deptartment store). Compared with another boutique hotels, the room is small and some facilities are a little bid old. Consider the price of same level hotel, maybe I will choose another hotel again. (Like Tivoli or Citichic.)
- Shopping Tip : Just ten-minute walk to Emporium department store.
