Location is good for nightlife, shopping etc The reception staff are friendly and efficient. The location is good for access to nightlife, shopping, skytrain nearby.
German Restaurant opposite hotel is part of the hotel, show your room key for discount.
The street adjacent to the hotel has several bar/restaurants which are suitable for families or couples.
Close by is Nana Plaza which has all the raunchy nightlife associated with Bangkok.
In all a good hotel, reasonable rates and comfortable rooms.

location, staff, room size, view, beds service over Christmas was extremely slow, plumbing old, appliances sporadic, room decor lacking Have enjoyed the Grand President in the past and will do so again. The street facing rooms have an excellent view, breakfast is fine. Enjoyed renting dvds on the occasional night in. Staff are great, but the rooms are dated, the plumbing old and the supplied cheap kettles did not work. The location can not be beat

location, street facing suites slow service, dated plumbing great location, friendly staff, fine breakfast buffet, pool ok and the gym is excellent. the rooms were renovated 4 years ago but are already dated ( lots of grey marble )wonderful view from street facing suites which offer fine value .
