Location, value for money,Convenience
I booked the hotel last minute, as I was flying into Bangkok a day early and my regular place was booked out. The presidential was good value for money. The morning breakfast buffet is busy in a small sitting environment. Otherwise a good hotel if needing something close to the entertainment and shopping precincts. I would likely stay again.

Second visit to this hotel. Perfect location for my purposes. Clean, well equipped rooms. Decent WIFI. Staff are excellent and went out of their way to assist us with our onward journey to Hua Hin. Will stay here again.

The stay started badly and got worse, I ordered a car to meet me at the airport some month before I traveled. But when I arrived no car even though I received an email confirming the car, I tried to ring the hotel but kept being told by reception they were busy and I should ring back at a later time, I rang them 4 times and every time they said the same thing. After an hour I got the airport police to ring them, and then they wold speak to me, I explained the situation and their response was that I was mistaken, but after a long search in their records the found that they have forgotten to book the car even though they had sent me a confirmation email. Then they said I should get a taxi as they could not now book a car. When I go to the room it smelt and had water coming out of the light fitting so I could not turn the lights on, yes they got a man to come and fix it, but smell was there all the time. Now the breakfast was really poor, in variety and taste. The hotel had been taken over by an company and I hope they do something about the poor state of the hotel in general , it needs a complete refurnish, and painting would be nice, rooms dark and smelly, and lobby in poor condition, at best this is a 3 start hotel.

location.
I was at grand president for 5 nights. The hotel is really and the rooms came with a stench. Water tap in the bathroom was leaking. The room was a little dusty. The air conditioning vents were filled with dust. The cupboard doors were not really working. Bed was a little on the hard side and the pillows were really thin. The WiFi was close to non existent and when it was available was very slow. Overall the entire place didn't quite meet my expectation. I could find a similar hotel at the same rates at natural ville langsuan and ibis at siam. My mates and I took up 12 rooms and half of us that were in tower 3 decided to move to holiday Inn express which offered similar rates.

Best thing was location
Booked delux 'royal' suite, but even though rooms were spacious they were very dated. Scruffy furniture, TV in lounge not working but they did come a repair after 1 day, washer/dryer didn't work but they did replace after 1 day, safe didn't work and was not repaired or replaced. House keeping didn't do our rooms although we were out all day and got back about 5 the room had not been done so we had to ask for water, tea and coffee, and told them it was too late to do the room as we needed to use it. Do not be fooled by the photos of the rooms, these photos must have been taken 20 years ago!

good location and nice pool
there are 3 swimming pools located at 3 diff towers. the best is at tower 3. it's on the roof.
the pool which is in tower 3 is great. you will love it if you like sunbathing. this is my second times stayed in this hotel. the.first time i was in tower 3 and standard room. the room is sucks. the bathroom is more worse. but this time i stayed in Tower 3 and deluxe room. much more better. more bigger and the bathroom is good. at least the water power is strong enough and the water is very hot. not like the first time in tower 1. but one things is not good. it's all about the staff i guess. when the first i arrived the room. i went inside the bathroom and check everything. the towels haven't been folded properly. look like somebody use it already. but actually they were clean ( i guess). the next day after breakfast.we went to the swimming pool. but we couldn't find our towels. the room keeper took them away and didn't take them back. we were wet and have to wait for around 20 mins for the staff to get the towels back. and also haven't make up the room yet at that moment. but why they took my towels away. and then we went out again. they did make up the room this time after we got back. but they took 1 of our towel away again. i dunno why. ok then the third day. we asked for the late check out for an hour but the staff said couldn't offer it cause the other customer gonna check in soon. so we went to pool again ( we loves the pool a lot). we back to the room and we were hurry to take a bath because we have to check out by 12pm. and before we went to the pool. i hanged the do not disturb outside the door cause i dun need make up room right? gonna check out soon anyway. but what happened? the staff was there cleaning my room and ask me to wait. what the hell is that? i totally cannot understand what the staffs are doing.

worst experience,staff was rude not helpful at all
very overrated!!!!..you have to request bell boys while checking out to put the luggage in taxi(even they are watching that you are carriyng bags by your own)...reception attendant seems that they felt irritated..in short not at all satisfied..
