Location is the selling point as it is mins away from Nana BTS. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast excluded as most other hotels have We didn't get to try the hotel restaurant food thereby can't give comment. The gym was well equipped and the station master was helpful and friendly. Swimming pool shallow which is good for those who come with young children but the water was a bit dirty when we use it even though at acceptable level. We will consider staying again if the price remains competitive and it will be good if the hotel can throw in breakfast too.

I was surprised to see the room layout, it was spacious, tidy and clean. I booked two silver rooms and the check in rep upgraded for me to two suites with little kitchen, living room with LCD TV and comfortable L-shape sofa, bedroom with another LCD TV and big bathroom. Location is great, near Nana BTS, it provides Tuktuk transportation to Nana BTS. There are many restaurants in Soi 4, which is a walking distance from the hotel. I would recommend Grand Sukhumvit to my friends, because of its location, clean and nice design of the rooms. My husband and I enjoyed the live band performance, eventhough the lounge was small but we felt comfortably with the music and songs. My kids enjoyed the stay in Grand Sukhumvit because of its room, eventhough the location is nearby those bars and pub, but it didn't affect our stay in the hotel.

A fine hotel, fine pool, fine sauna room. Breakfast not included in rate. No steam room.
Poor restaurants in the area. Hotel was hard to find. This is a well done hotel. The rooms are fine, if a bit small for the price.
The pool is very nice. The restaurant looks more than adequate, but we did not use it.
Travel tip : We only stayed one night.

Always maintain upgrading We have stayed in this Hotek before and will again as this large hotel is really nice as well as value for money. It has features like a bird park and anything else you would want from the hotel. Its an old hotel so it does have the aging feel but none the less the new renovated rooms are really well appointed. The service is standard and the staff are generally a tad unpolite. Otherwise here is an extremely beautiful and spacious hotel in the heart of the city

wonderful clean, well thought out hotel.
glorious and exceptional value for money - a true 5 star!! none that i could think of. a bonefide 5 star i will without doubt return. let me talk you through it.... by the way i do not spend time doing these things normally but i am sufficiently moved to do so on this occassion.
great staff, friendly warm and welcoming plus professional. great lobby area full of high ceilings, marble and glass with high-end bar on an elevated position behind the grand entrance hall.
the rooms are luxuriant and exceeded my expectation. oh and they upgraded me from a single room to a suite as they were not full! apparently they do this when they can! bathroom was wonderful and clean. room air conditioned, beds comfy and huge! what can i say - i will go back for sure! truely highly recommended.
couples, (and like me a sigle traveller) or high-end business people would enjoy the experience. you are also close to the nightlife off the sukhumvit road which is always fun!
Hotel Feature Tip : wonderful and luxurious and an unbeatable price!

great hotel for a very good price, staff is friendly Great hotel in the middle of the city centre.Shopping malls are verry nearby. the sky train is across the hotel a taxi will cost you only 45 baht to get to the malls

Lovely swimming pool, Clean bedroom, Great service I stayed for 2 nights but have a very pleasant satisfied stayed. Easily accesible, nice personnel and very clean. I dued take breakfast just only last day but very delicious. I will return to this for next trip to Bangkok and will recommend our friends to come to this hotel.

Very friendly & courteos staff, right through to management team. A few minor problems were quickly and efficiently dealt with, including a room upgrade due to a particular problem we experienced. The evening buffet was one of the best we have ever experienced - I defy anyone to try everything on the the buffet. Breakfast was overpriced and the make-up of the Breakfast a little confusing. For instance, the cost of tea / coffee was not included in the price, this was an extra, which was rather surprising, as this is normally included.
Some the staff did not speak very good English, so it was difficlt to get this point over. The food at the pool bar was very prolonged, and left much to be improved upon Overall, the standards at this Hotel were very very high, especially from the comfort point of view. The beds/pillows etc were superb, and also the rooms very quiet. A short walk brings you on to the Sukhumfit Road with all the local amenities.
The pool area was also good, with excellent snack bar menue.
The Bell Captain and staff dealt very quickly with the baggage, including the transfer to Airport. Also with a wealth of local knowledge, especially local trips. Overall an excellent Hotel, well recommended.
Shopping Tip : Hotel walking distance of Robinsons Departmental Store,also short taxi ride to The Siam Parador shopping mall. Excellent Orchid Exhibition at the time we were there.

excellent helpful staff, great location next to nana bts, great room upgraded to a platinum room free of charge. bfast and restaurant where great. pool and gym facilities ample i would definately stay there again

Close to Nana BTS station. The room cleaning standard can be improve and the housekeeping came up to my room very slowly. The hotel just located at 5 minutes walking distance to Nana BTS station but not on the main street, the road is very quiet at night and taxi driver don't know where it is, I need to tell them the street name. The staff are nice and have good manner. My room was big and have good view but the TV picture was not clear.

Spacious layout, nice rooms with high level amenities ( flat screen TVs, microwave, full size refrigerator...), courteous staff, good size gym with fitness trainer assistance if needed, excellent breakfast, good room service menu. Room service and Spa is overprice for level of quality. The friendly front desk staff upgraded my room so that was a pleasant surprise. The contemporary designed room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good even if it was a bit overpriced ( ~ $20 US). Try to get breakfast free with your booking. The gym is great. The fitness director is a cool guy. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return next time.
Restaurant Tip : If you have time, take a 10 minute walk outside to a food mall on Sukhumvit. It's next to the Mariott Hotel. This indoor food mall has every type of cuisine restaurant imaginable including Starbux and a grocery store.

The offer didnt include the breakfast, which i really ask the management of the site conceder adding it to the offers. Overall the hotel was very good or excellent, the rooms was clean and nice, wide lobby and variety of choices between resturants and cafe shops, staff were so friendly, so helpful and polite. Its my fifth time staying in this hotel and i really advice people to enjoy thier vacation by booking this hotel through agoda.

clean, modern, spacious rooms, great location internet access way too expensive and no wireless available We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Sukhumvit, it was perfect for a few days while in transit. Many restaurants, shops and tailors nearby.
Restaurant Tip : Try the vientiane kitchen for spicy northern thai food and nightly dance shows.

First class staff, from the guard at the gate to the reception. Great diverse breakfast. Nice live music at the bar. Very comfortable room.(Platinum) It is a 4 minute walk to Sukumvit, the main road in the area. The street it is on is narrow, and when traffic is busy, one needs to dodge the scooters sometimes. The Grand Sukhumvit is a first class place. My whole experience there was excellent. From the moment I arrived the polite and helpful staff was at my cab greeting me and moving my bags. It is a lovely building, lobby and there was lively music coming from the bar with three talented gals singing from the Phillipines. I went for the Platinum room, and it was a beautiful suite for the extra $20, an excellent value. All my special requests were met that I asked for when making my reservation, high floor, 2 rooms near, king bed,etc. When I asked for a taxi, they checked to see that the taxi knew where I wanted to go, and they told me the rate to expect, and even provided the driver with a map. I read their star system was self rating, but it is a 5* no doubt.
Restaurant Tip : A local took me to a fun restaurant, a German style Beer hall. They make their own beer there (three types), had live shows on stage, magicians, and live music, and excellent Thai food and great prices. Sunday night, 20% discount. Tawandang German Brewery, www.tawandang.co.th
