Very Grande

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. From the moment I walked into the lobby, it felt Grand, luxurious and clean. The room I booked was Executive Suite with Breakfast on the 25th floor. My room was facing racetrack to one side and part of downtown to the other. The suite was huge with a nicely sized kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, and office. It had a double door to the bathroom which was also a good size. It was definitely a plus having a washer/dryer all in one in my suite; however, figuring out the way it works was a challenge. On another occasion, we experienced power failure in our suite. Though breakfast was included, I had only gone once. It was good, but seemed to cater more to Asian guests. I also ordered in room service, but wasn't impressed at all.
I did enjoy relaxing in the reading room next to the pool. Although I had a night check out, they had suggested that instead of extending my check out hour, instead I take use of the facilities on the 10th floor, such as the pool, the reading room, and another room with a sitting area with complimentary coffee/tea/and fruits. However, when I asked for an airport shuttle, one of the concierge informed me that there wasn’t one, but the next day I saw one picking up some guests. Another thing, I didn’t quite like was that it was an outdoor pool which was quite small. I went during the rainy season, thus was not able to take use of the pool.
The hotel is located seconds away from the Four Seasons and The Pennisula is close by as well. Right on the left of the hotel is another hotel with a nice size supermarket, so you can get your groceries or necessities right there. Of course, you are about 5 minutes taxi ride away from Central Shilom Department and Supermarket which I always frequent when in Bangkok.
Overall, I am very happy with my stay and would return to Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri. I would recommend it to business travelers and everyone alike.

unfortunately, air con didn't work well on 1st nite. After commenting to the recept counter, they did the rectification and it was ok. Disposable slippers are a bit flimsy though and kept slipping out of our feet.

The room was exactly the same as what it looked like on the web: spacious, clean. It's nicely decorated. The bed was particullary comfy. but a bit disgusted when I stepped into the bathroom, clearly the staff didn't clean the floor properly ad there were hairs scattered on the toilet floor.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We have met a few polite and friendly taxi drivers in Bangkok. However the last day on our way to the airport one taxi driver tried to trick us into paying him 450 bhat for taxi fare. We insisted on using meters. When we got to the airport the fare on the meters including tolls were only 350. 100 bhat is not much I could just tip him that if he didn't try to trick us.
