The Grand Suite

Unless u have the golf course view, looks like the other views dun really matter. In two years, this hotel will be blocked by at least two other tall structures. They are now an eyesore.

My first two nights were for a deluxe n the last three for a Grand Suite. The man at the counter was kind enuf to upgrade us to Grabd Suite for all three nights. We were given the #_18 room . Having stayed in a #_05 room before, we thought we were just given The Suite instead of he Grand Suite.

10mins walk to the main shopping malls and supermarket. size of the room is good enough and staff there are very friendly and helpful.
a very nice experience with this hotel and I would love to stay again for my next visit.

Too Many Hassles to be a Five-Star

What kind of 5-star hotel doesn't have a clock in the bedroom? What kind of 5-star hotel doesn't have a stand where you can put your suitcase on? The setting of the air-condition in both my room was set to very cold and I tried to change it, but it seemed impossible to set to anything other than 23 degrees. I called the front desk and they sent a technician who seemed laughably incompetent as she fumbled around - imagine a kind of Thai "Mr Bean". In the end the only choice was between a freezing room or sweating by turning off the air conditioning altogether. Also, no alcohol on the premises - no bar, no wine or beer in the restaurant, no minibar in the room. Guests are told that if they want to have a drink they should go to a supermarket and buy something. I think the hotel and Agoda should disclose this more prominently. Will not stay at this hotel again.
