not quite right
excellent pool & exercise facilities
8
I selected this hotel because it looked to be close to Lumphini Park & I enjoy a jog in the morning. But maps can be misleading & it is at least 20 min jog before you get to the park entry.
The Collonade suites are closer ; the rooms are bigger & about $20 cheaper per night.
I cant put my finger on why I would not stay here again. There are some definite good things to say about the Hotel. There is a whole floor dedicated to the pool/gym/spa facilities. The pool is enormous & surrounded by a very pleasant well kept garden. There are 2 reading rooms on this floor which are beautifully furnished & overlook the pool [in 4 days I did not see 1 person using these rooms]The rest rooms have sauna & steam rooms.
The entry to the hotel is very impressive. The foyer is quite grand with plenty of seating & free coffee/tea available.
You can eat your way around the world with breakfast. There were about 20 bain maree plus steamers for chinese buns & dim sims, a table of fresh fruit & warm croissants & pastries.
The staff are courteous & efficient. The hotel is close to the flash shops & only about 10 min walk to Chitlom or Ratchadamri BTS.
I list all these positives because they are all due & highlight my confusion as to why I would not stay here again.
I dont think that the fact that I couldnt get a beer with my meal on the 1st night [this is a "dry" hotel] is a sufficient reason. You can always pick up alcohol outside for the room.
The only thing I can put my finger on is that it felt somewhat impersonal. Next time I will probably go back to the smaller Collonades or the Adelphi Suites in Sukhumvit. Smaller, more personal [& cheaper]
Restaurant Tip:
Try one of the street stalls in Soi Langsuan. Great value. Nice tree lined street. About $2 will give you a very tasty meal.

Good location
Good swimming pool, great views of Bangkok
8
Located close to the main shopping areas and very handy for the Skytrain, the hotel's location is its main asset. Breakfast buffet was no more than adequate and tended to get overcrowded when busy. There's an attractive good-sized pool and great views of Bangkok from the upper floors.

this hotel is the best! beautiful building, fabulous 2 room apartment with enourmous bed, kitchen and washing machine.
breakfast top quality and a vast selection.
excellent staff, especially the head waiter at breakfast who looked after us so well.
great pool to relax around after a busy day on the streets of bangkok.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Whilst there are other considerations such as position, the Star of this hotel is the hotel itself.
Suffice to say it is perfect!

Great location, Great room condition!
i love it, it has the pantry area and WASHING machine
9.3
i got to stay this is the best room that i ever have. i love this one has the cooking area, mico-wave, and washing machine. Just too bad i didn't have a fry pan with me, otherwies i must cook there for fun. it's good for people who travel there over 4 or 5 days, so you can use the washing machine to clean your clothes without charge. 10 mins walking to the Central world/BTS station, nice to go shopping, then back hotel to recharge energy for 1 or 2 hrs then head out again. I am sure i picked the perfect one for our honeymoon :)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
kindly remind, they will ask for 2,000batt for deposit when check in to avoid if their room get any damage. So get your credit card ready
