Relaxing retreat after long business meetings

Hansar has the right extremes in the right places. It is quietly tucked along Rajdamri Road amidst busy downtown Bangkok, so it is peaceful yet convenient. It is not as large as its neighbors but the spaces, of the rooms and of the lobby, are nicely distributed without clutter. The cuisine served at the restaurants are great, and the business center was really great for meetings.

I have an issue with "grade inflation". Too many hotels are identified as "5*", which requires the highest level of staffing and training, and particular amenities and improvements. It is not feasible to invest that much in a highly competitive market such as Bangkok, so there are only a few true 5* in the city. Oriental, Peninsula, St.Regis, etc.
But....Bangkok is blessed with a multitude of competitive 4*, which offer everything a traveler could need, in a very comfortable fashion, with no missteps in service, for under $200 night.
Amongst these I rate the Hansar at, or very near, the top. I hope you enjoy this hotel as much as I did, and be sure to have at least one dinner at Eve, I had 3 and look forward to going back for another.

Great hotel for a weekend in Bangkok

We stayed for long weekend as a chill out and relax. We had seen the hotel from out window at the St Regis on a previous visit and decided to stay at Hansar on our next visit. We were not disappointed. The style of the hotel is modern but with warm wood tones and lots of wood and growing plants.
The rooms were spacious - we took advantage of an Agoda special and booked a suite. It was relaxing and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some minor problems with the internet were attended to quickly and efficiently.
The pool can be a little cool (but this is from someone who lives in Thailand) and yet it was a great place to relax. We had lunch by the pool two days and the food was fresh and tasty.

Take time to relax in the pool and enjoy the hotel architecture.

We love this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here, and there is just nothing to fault.
Restaurant Tip:
Make sure to try Eve in the evening. This classy restaraunt is inside the hotel and provides the free breakfasts, but their evening menu is absolutely delicious as well.

hansar hotel is a perfect boutique hotel located right in the centre of bangkok city, right next to four seasons bangkok and surrounded by shopping areas. bts ratchadamari station is just a few steps away, taking you to siam centre only 5 mins.
hotel room is spacious and nice deco, with free wifi & free mini bar snacks. breakfast serves quality foods with my fav. egg benedict & fresh juice. staffs are very friendly & helpful. is really a memorable stay with hansar.

The room is very nice here and has all the facilities equipped for business. Free wi-fi, CNN and free mini bar! The bed is comfortable and it has all that you need. The Spa is this hotel is also not bad.

The hotel is in a very good condition. Our room was big and the bathroom very spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful and didn't rush us out of the room on the last day. The hotel is very comfortable, cosy, warm and a good place to be. The pool deck is very nice with a bar serving drinks, but the view of next door condos is a bit boring.
The only slightly negative comment would be that the guy who brought us room service very late at night seemed very bothered by the fact he had to work at the wee hours. And the location of the hotel is a bit inconvenient if you plan on partying, as it's located in the financial district, so you have to rely on taxis and tuk-tuks.
In general I would immediately recommend staying at this hotel - you get luxury service, for which you would usually have to pay at least double the price.
