Good value economy option
Bright, modern, clean, good service, reasonable breakfast.

with a couple of young children, economy was a more pressing concern, so having stayed at the next door palazzo hotel and sometimes at the emerald hotel across the road whenever we could afford it, we tried the hip hotel, which might well possibly be associated with the ownership of the other two.
for a more budget option, this ticks the boxes for those wanting somewhere inexpensive but still clean and comfortable.
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty of choices for eating locally. There is an inexpensive but good food court at both the Topps under Robinsons and at Carrefour. Plenty of choices of Restaurants within The Esplanade too.

great location with nice clean big room
love the concept of the room and bascially everything of hip hotel

Hip hotel is the best hotel in bkk that i every stay. keep it up with the good service and concept hip hotel.
Travel tip:
if your are planning for a nightlife trip in bkk then hip hotel is the best place to stay in as it is very near to most of the clubs. No regrets.

Over all very satisfied with the price i paid.No complaint except i found the air conditiner a bit noisy and the shower very small and slow.Great value for money.

Location of the hotel has both pros and cons.
Pros:
Near MRT (subway) Huai Khwang station (about 7 min on foot)
Near Huai Khwang market place. It’s really convenient if you are interested in local foods and stuff. But if you can’t eat street food you may find this hotel less attractive.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons:
Behind the hotel is sewage facility. You can smell sometimes depends on the wind. Inside the hotel is always okay.
The window of the balcony is locked and can’t open. I think it’s because of the smell outside and pigeons.
Taxi drives don’t know the name and its location.
Internet connection is expensive. 400Baht/day, or 1000Baht/week.

Big Rooms but Far Location from Siam
large bath tube, near to jatujak market, very clean and nice hotel lobby and rooms, nearby shopping areas such as Robinsons, Carrefour and Robinsons

overall the hotel room was quite a nice stay, they gave us a free upgrade because the room that I book does not have bathtub but it was not stated in the website for the room type.
the room was very nice in the decoration with all the lightings and was very clean and comfortable for the bed.
the only thing as that it is slightly too far from the town, i.e. Siam and not very convenient because it is the MRT station that is near to the hotel (about 5 mins walk which the town station are all along BTS station. But it is quite near to airport transfer station (about 5-10mins drive).
Hotel Feature Tip:
it have a different theme for each of the room but you must book the cool studio room. it is very unique for the decoration in the room and it is very big. very worth the price for the room but if you are looking for location near to the BTS station then look for some other hotels.

location wise is just 2 mins walk from a metro station and just minutes away from a very lively night market, with lots of things to see and walk. hotel is tidy and not too noisy and lighting within the hotel is also just nice. i love it and will wants to stay again if i visit bangkok again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try going to Chao Phraya river to get a feel of how those living on the river.
