You probably can't get anything more central than the holiday inn. It's walking distance to all shopping districts and next to quite a few places to eat etc. As usual, overcharges a 1000% for calls made for a 1-2 minutes back home to say that you have reached safely. 2 mins call to the UK at 10 pounds! They are insane! Excellent hotel, comfortable yet slightly smaller rooms than I am used to. Bathrooms could use a bit more light however everything is yelling 5 stars otherwise. Nice little pool and a small gym.

Great location, clean and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff. Booked this hotel through a friend's recommendation. In addition, the rates were reasonable via Agoda's site for 4 nights after . No regrets because everything meets our expectations:
1. great location - next to Chidlom BTS & within walking distance from - CentralWorld (Zen & Isetan), Central, Big C Store, Platinum Mall, Pratunam Centre, Siam Discovery Centre, Siam Paragon and though a bit further, still walkable to MBK. About 10 - 15 minutes journey via cab to Suan Lum Night Market. Cant remember the exact cab fare but remembered it to be less than our Flag down rate of S$2.80. The hotel staff speak quite ok English. They'll advise you if you needed any directions. Opposite the hotel there's another mall (Amarin) with a Mac & Starbucks. It has a shop that sells similar products as those you can find at Naraya. Less variety but certain items cheaper than those at Naraya, especially if items are on sale.
2. clean & spacious room and bathroom. The bathroom can be seen from the bedroom area via a transparent glass wall. There's a wooden set of blinds that can offer the user some privacy. Great if you need to use the bathroom for an extended period of time yet without missing out on your favourite show at the same time.
Overall, for the rates we paid, we are very satisfied with the hotel. My husband and I will stay there on our next visit.

To go to Chatuchak Weekend market, take train from Chidlom to Mo Chit (35 Baht/person/way). It's a few min walk from the MO Chit station. There's a sign in the station pointing to the general direction to Chatuchak Market.

good location, good service They have one of the best service hotel I stay in Bangkok.Staffs at the conceirge and front desk are very friendly and efficient. The room is always clean, cosy and comfortable. Location is very convenient to shopping, restaurant and massage center.I will definitly stay in in this hotel if I come to Bangkok again.

very close to the BTS SkyTrain, clean rooms, well maintained breakfast was expensive, pool is a bit small Rooms were clean and well kept. The hotel was conveniently located to downtown shopping malls and BTS SkyTrain. Staff were very helpful and informative.
The angle that the standard suite was shot from makes the room look bigger than it was. Under amenities, I thought inhouse movies meant free movies; it means that they have a pay-per-view option.

the hotel have great service and very good restaraunts. The staff and menegnegment of the hotel were great and the locationg is also great for shopping and alot of other things and the resarant s are great .

- location: can't complain it location. it is located at the center of the city which you access to major shopping places in just a few steps
- it delivered what you expected from holiday inn we found that the towel in the room was a bit smelly and we also found bread crumps on the floor we had been spoiled in the previous days staying in hip hotel, resorts in chiang rai and chiang mai. we stayed at holiday inn when we travelled back to bangkok from chiang mai and found this hotel very ordinary. it is just what we expected from holiday inn and i shouldn't ask for more.
the location of this hotel is the best, right next to intercon hotel with half of its room rate.
the only surprise i had for this hotel was the cleanliness. i found breadcrumps on the toilet floor and also the towel smelled. shouldn't be acceptable in this hotel standard

near famous four face buddha temple,shopping malls and train station.very new and clean rooms.this is the 8th time i stay in this hotel and the high standard is always the same. all i want to say is....it is one of the best hotel! one of the best hotel! try it,you will repeat my words..
Shopping Tip : there are a stretch of night market stalls along the road(150 m or so)...

Clean, friendly, great location and lovely facilities. when i checked in, I wasn't asked for my ID or Credit card which I feel needs to be addressed for obvious security measures. Apart from that....nothing else to criticize really. Hotel is in a very handy location and close to a lot of shopping centres, also the restaurant staff were very nice and friendly. The lobby is nice and clean and the swimming pool is lovely and enough basic gym equipment to satisfy most guests requirements. As I booked through Agoda, I had a fantastic rate and very well worth the money.
Shopping Tip : If u need a good shopping go to MBK

Very oriental feel to it, and the welcome drink was delicious. I loved the pool, it overlooked the beach...absolutely beautiful. Great range of breakfast. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I liked the location, service and the room itself. Liked that the hotel had a nice scent the moment u walked in; scent was consistent with the toiletries' scent, which had a nice, lovely fragrance. Nice overall feel. We didn't get a room with much view. Had a view of the main road, plus it was only the 3rd floor, so everyone who walked past on the street could see us if we peeped out. Can't figure out why there wasn't a toothbrush set given among the toiletries. Also can't figure out why only 1 bathrobe was given instead of 2. We didn't eat anything at the hotel as it's rather expensive-breakfast is over $20. Hotel's service was gd - they brought us the toothbrush set real quick, check-out was quick too. Staff were very polite. The room was spacious and the pillows were comfy. Hotel was right opposite Amarin where there's massage, gd local food, Mcdonald's and local designer wares on sale. Also u can find made-to-wear boutiques and housewares there. There's a "japanese" bag shop along the streets quite close by. Nice and quaint. U can hit all the major malls in the vicinity, by foot along the skywalk..lots of sights and sounds from dusk to dawn. Overall it was an enjoyable experience staying at Holiday Inn.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : U can go right opposite for an emergency coffee fix at Starbucks. Just take the bridge across. For a quick snack fix, try the little waffles stall at Chidlom BTS nearby; it's real yummy. If you have more time, head to Siam Paragon where there's 1 floor of pure food at the basement. If u go to Chatuchak, don't miss the retro-looking cafe where there's coke in glass bottles and yummy local food.

- Excellent Location: near the big malls, BTS station.
- there is a walkway bridge right in front of the hotel. You can walk everywhere from there
- Warm and Professional Staff
- no in room wifi
- only small umbrellas provided when raining
- bed was a bit too hard I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting bangkok. It has the best location.
The staff are friendly, warm, and informative. Just an overall excellent hotel
Travel tip : Beware when you take the taxi cabs during the day. They will try to take you to gem stores, due to an incentive that they receive. If all possible walk or take the BTS (train)

Location is very convenient, right at one of the exit of the sky train. Staffs are better than last time I was there.(2008) They are friendlier and better trained. The only thing I wish their pool is a little more private. Excellent hotel for their price. I will be back next time when I am in Bangkok.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Skytrain is a excellent transportation in Bangkok. Traffic does not affect skytrain. You can plan your shopping and sightseeing around it.
It is convenient and fast. Also you do not need to bargain with driver like the taxi and tuk tuk.
