The hotel is located next to Phra Khanong BTS skytrain station so it is very easy to reach my public transport. A bit outside the centre, ideal for people leaving from/arriving to Ekkamai bus station which is only one train stop up North and within walking distance on the same side of the road. The closest rstaurants are in Ekkamai (big restauran area close to Ekkamai opposite to the buss station). Only small kiosks near the hotel but there was a shopping centre building site opposite to the hotel so that may change the situation.
Our room was spotless, all white and stylish. I have never seen a hotel room so clean. The room was quit different from the agoda site´s pictures - there was supposed to be a kitchenette but instead of it there was just a fridge and a hole where ithe rest of the kitchenette shall be in the future. The room was so new that think we must have been the first people staying in it. There was a very small and narrow balcony. It was very peaceful, I could not hear any noise from the street or from the building site (our room was not on the street side). The common areas were also very white, pleasant and spacious. The staff was very friendly and genuinely interested in the well being of the visitors (not just the usual "forced" smiles). The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, both western and Thai food. Nice pool and garden area outside in a peaceful surrounding, ideal for kids or anyonw who need a bit rest- a perfect place after all the noise and traffic of Bangkok. Good option for those who do not need any night life near by. Cheaper than the most central hotels. A great place, I hope to visit it again one day.

Great hotel for the price

While a little far down Sukhumvit from the downtown core, this hotel was close to the BTS and right on Sukhunvit Rd. The lobby was gorgeous and the rooms were very clean and new. They were doing some renovations but it did not bother us at all. After our stay we recommended it to friends and they enjoyed it as well.

Some real problems

Lovely hotel, vaulted ceilings in room overlooking the pool, but we did have some real problems. First off, the toilet seat was stained with urine. It obviously needed to be cleaned or thrown out and changed. The floor of the bathroom had water marks where the water just sat and dried and didn't even looked mopped. The towel my girlfriend used to dry herself gave her a rash- no kidding. She was almost in tears from the itching and, I kid you not, blood from scratching her legs so much was coming through her skin- and this was in a matter of 5 or so minutes after drying herself off with the towel. We know it was the towel because she showered again and dried off again with the same towel with the same outcome. We immediately went down to the front desk. They had no idea what I was saying as I very calmly and rationally explained to them that we needed new towels in our room because it was giving my girlfriend some kind of allergic reaction. They smiled and politely said, "I'm sorry sir we do not have that here. We cannot help you." I wasn't at all upset or angry and did not ask for medical help because I knew this quite simply would be an impossible task if they couldn't even get towels for us. My Thai girlfriend, after watching me fail at communicating, finally spoke up and explained to them the situation and they agreed to bring us new towels which we had to come back to get. They didn't even send it to our room. We ran to a nearby pharmacy where the employees were very friendly and knowledgable. They solved the itching problem instantly with a caladryl lotion. We will not be staying at this hotel again. And I will be certain to stay at hotels near 24 hour pharmacies where possible.

Locate the closest pharmacy before showering... just in case...

It's clean. The rooms are pretty nice but nothing fancy. The pool is big, clean, and shady. The hotel is right on Sukumvit, our room was in the back and quiet. Room on the street might be noisy. about a block to skytrain. Good for a couple nights. Nothing interesting within walking. Not many places around to eat. Hotel restaurant only open for breakfast.

we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. we thought it was a great hotel. the breakfast was really good, pretty much anything you would want they had. the swimming pool was great as well. the location was really good with the sky train a 5 minute walk away. there is also an overpass to cross the road. the sky train will take you pretty much anywhere you need to go. we will definately be coming back if we stay in bangkok again
Shopping Tip:
MBK shopping centre is huge with everything you need.

Large rooms, but new construction next door

I booked the spacious City View Room only to find out that next to the hotel they're constructing another large building so it's unsightly and noisy.
When I asked for a room change I was told I would be charged extra. When I requested to talk with a manager he was unavailable. Of course, no one else was able to assist me.
One would expect that the hotel would accommodate a room change with over 90% vacancy without trying to extract additional money from the few customer they have.
The hotel has an impressive entry and when tourist were plentiful things were good. There breakfast buffet was reasonable, but it should be indoors and not outdoors.
Their Internet connection was too slow, so connections with Skype was unuseable...

we stayed at hope land for two nights. we were positively surprised with the cleanliness of the facilities and rooms. it seems to be a new hotel. facilities were also good. nice pool with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and showers. very few other guests. pretty good restaurant on the back of the hotel. location is ok, near bts-station, but not superb.
Restaurant Tip:
If you like street food, there's a great restaurant on the back of hotel. Just walk in the street away from Sukhumvit.
