Nice decorations, modern amenities, near Padpong, Silom, Tasteful design of pool/bar, great reception view. 7 Eleven close by, near the train. Rooms too small, Internet connection is BAD, two single beds put together is not the same thing as a double, very confusing floor layout. Vicinity of hotel is in back streets - not good for taxi to recognize so easily. I was really looking forward to this hotel. Being a traveler to Thailand for many years, I try my best to try as many new places as possible to stay. Alas this was a big disappointment. Firstly, the building was not designed to accommodate for a hotel- very confusing. You needed to take two different elevators to get to the rooms from reception. The rooms are very chic but too small. Internet is a problem. I lost the connection 20 times in the 4 days I stayed there (I was on working vacation so I really needed it). The beds in the rooms are in fact two singles placed together which is very slack. The location isn't the easiest to find with taxis. I'd rather be in Sukhumvit again next time. Not really worth staying here. If you prefer Padpong pick something closer.

avoid the breakfast 3rd time stay at this hotel; conveniently located directly opposite Chong Nosi BTS.
Hotel lobby is strangely located on the 6th floor in the new wing.
Hotel staff is friendly and is able to understand English. Had some problem with the air-con in the room but it was promptly rectified within the hour.
Rooms are clean and condition is relatively new, with chic modern decor. There isn't a DVD player equipped in the room but is available upon request FOC.
However, the daily breakfast is disappointing and the rooftop pool waters look uninviting murky.
Highly recommended for budget conscious travelers!

convenience location. Nice building. wonderful room. friendly & helpful staffs. unstable internet access, shld upgrade the speed of network or to wireless. tv reception not clear & water heater unstable. need to upgrade the knowledge on the IT support staffs for my recent IT problem. well, it is a worth of money to stay in for a short trip. I like most is the good location near to BTS, Chong Nonsi station & shops around the hotel. Beside those Cons which i have stated could be improve in future, it would be more wonderful trip for most of us. This is the hotel which i have recommended most of my friends to stay during this recent trip & i'll do so in future.

Its location is very strategic and its just beside the skytrain which is extremely convenient.
Staffs there are very friendly and helpful. Had a ggreat stay over there. the room is kind of small and the toilet should be bigger. Was supposed to stay in the hotel for 3 nights but upon check-in, we were then told that the hotel is all fully booked and we are asked to go another hotel to stay for a night and then to be transfered back to I-Residence the next day. This is totally unaceptable as the replacement hotel was old and run down which is very disappointing. Beside that, we had a great time staying in I-Residence as the room is clean and modern with nice decoration. Its really value for money and the location of the hotel is extremely convenient, not to mention the skytrain station is just beside the hotel.
would definitely stay in the hotel again for my next visit.
Nightlife Tip : Its near to Silom!

Budget price. Clean, excellent staff. Stone throw from BTS. Excellent choice at such a budget price. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't didn't anything to complain about.
Ideally located right in front of the BTS so you can buy an all day ticket for TB130 and jump off at any of the extensive locations. Places like MBK, Siam centre are only 3 stops away. If there for the weekend, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is only about 20 mins away on the BTS.
At night the hotel is a 5 minute drive from the night bazaar TB40 so go there to relax, have a bite, watch the concert and shop.
I've seen comments about the poor choice in breakfast. Two things; 1 we had breakfast once and found the selection to be ample. 2 why have a western breakfast, go out and try what the locals eat.
Remember you are not paying big bucks for this hotel

Location, Free internet, modern interior and friendly staff. Building construction at back of hotel meant I could not sleep in. I stayed at this hotel in early August 2009. The hotel has a strange layout (i.e. reception is on 6th floor) but otherwise was really good value in a great location. It is close to Silom Road and just opposite a Sky Train station. They provide free internet in very modern, although small,clean rooms. There is a great restaurant at great prices and found the staff really friendly. The only draw back was that some rooms overlook a construction site that I antipate is going to be ongoing for a while. The noise disrupted my sleep in.

Loved the price, service, location Rooms are small, construction next door is noisy Looking for a place close to the BTS? This is the place. The Chong Nonsi station is right in front of this hotel. The staff all really tried to please. Good b'fast included - both western and eastern. As others stated, it's a bit of a maze getting between the lobby and the actual building that holds the rooms, but it was a worthwhile inconvenience for the price. Though small, the room was well furnished and internet was free. We plan to stay here again!
Shopping Tip : One stop away is Chong Nonsi with night market and fast food restaurants.

small for longer stay with kids Good location next to BTS. Had all the essentials: internet, refrigerator, breakfast. Staff was professional and very helpful. With small children our 5 night stay was a little claustrophobic. And there was construction next door which made sleeping a little difficult for jet lagged kids. But it was a good stay over all.

reception staff friendly and semi professional. breakfast and food and beverage very good . the lift system was very confusing ! sometimes using 3 different lifts to reach your desired floor.night staff at reception rude and not helpful.Deluxe room far too small ! My initial check in was smooth and staff were helpful.On arrival to my deluxe room i was surprised how small it was;however it had all the mod cons. Good flat screen tv.My first morning i had no hot water, but that was rectified promptly by hotel staff.Later in my stay i moved to a suite , the room was huge and very comfortable.To sum up i would'nt go back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the location is great so close to the bts train system, you can travel to most parts of the city using this system.

this place is great value if you are looking for a modern but basic hotel.....the rooms are adequate and the internet access if free so all goo there. the breakfast and room service food is way below par.....but overall the place is great for the budget traveller.

Skytrain is just in front of the hotel, walking distance to Patong and other business buildings in Silom. There are clean and comfortable beds, free connection to internet. The elevators are not easily recognized due to the building's design. There are only 2 working for all customers in the buildings, which takes some time to wait. A hotel with perfect location and quiet invironment inside. The style is modern, all staffs are good English speakers. The room rate is reasonable and much better than other hotels nearby in same price range.
