Quiet off side street location.Really would be amoungst the cleanest places in Bangkok.

Free TukTuk to Sathorn shopping centre,about every hour.As mentioned this is a very clean and modern hotel-even a but sterile!!Staff are friendly,but didn,t try the food there.Unfortunately the period we were there the red shirts had control of the area,so didn,t see much of the nightmarket that is nearby.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nightmarket near Lumpini boasts about 3,000 shops.

All in all, good stay.
Very good location and value for money. The staff is very helpful and quick to respond.

We had a good stay there. Facilities are nice, although there could be a few more TV channels. The room is not noisy at night, which is a plus. The location is nice, as there are plenty of shops in Suan Plu area. We will come back another time if we need to.

i need big mirror in room
This is my first time stay in this hotel. if u know the short cut is easy to go saladeang and silom. For me the localtion is good.

I have stayed here many times and prefer when in Bangkok....is very close to bts with hotel tuk tuk and silom area. Street vendor food is abundant and other restaurants for english close by. The hotel has a nice restaurant on 9th floor. The channels and wifi are adequate. The room is comfortable as well as the bath room. it just feels comfortable to stay here. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff are friendly and professional and getting around is very easy. This hotel is on a side street, only 200 feet from larer vender road. Have stayed here at least 8 times now

i would'nt recommend it simply on the difficulty finding it, though i should have printed a map of the location.the surrounding streets were dirty which was "off-putting" when it came to eating locally,even though they were well priced for "todays Thailand".staff were friendly enough and the rooms clean and comfy with a nice bathroom although i thought a bit small, not easy to negotiate the bathroom door if you are sharing ! . too far to walk to the nearest bts station , but most central places were about 100 baht in a taxi
Restaurant Tip:
cheapest area for local food ive found in a long time,..... one resteraunt was just 30b per dish !

Good place to stay

We stayed in I Residence Hotel Sathorn on 24 - 27 April 2010. Situation in bangkok was not as serious as what media has reported. Everything was normal. In fact, there were only few roads were closed as the 'red shirt' people were inside. Media/reportors were inside those streets while reporting the news. That obviously give people around the world the wrong impression about Bangkok.
We went to Chatuchak Market and Platinum Fashion mall but the crowd was not as many as before.
Sometimes taking taxi is much cheaper than taking BTS/MRT in bangkok provided there is no traffic jam especially if you are traveling with friends/family.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a famous seafood restaurant in China town called T&K Seafood. Good food, can give it a try and reasonable price as well.

Big refrigerator and also microwave provided.
Huge and comfortable bed.
Near hawker stalls and wet market if you are keen with local food.
A nice and famous Thai restaurant - Baan Khanitha is within walking distance.
Suan Lum night Bazaar just few minutes away with taxi.

Although this hotel is not within walking distance to train station. The distance is not too far if you take a tuk-tuk or taxi. Hotel provides scheduled free tuk-tuk as well. Visiting the hawker stalls in the evening and also the wet market in the morning is a great experience to taste authentic local Thai food.
Will definitely consider staying again next time.
