Great location for Thonburi itinerary
Location, relatively new construction
7.3
ibis bangkok riverside is one of the most convenient hotels on the thonburi side of bangkok, and gives you great value. it is new, clean and comfortable, so the cost is quite reasonable. they also have a 15-minute rule, where they promise to address any request or problem. food is pleasantly authentic, and their riverside patio dining can be comparable to more upscale venues in terms of view and location.
Restaurant Tip:
Authentic Thai food is found right inside the hotel. On Charoen Nakorn outside, there are several noodle shops, at least one bakery and a new vietnamese shop across the street.

Peaceful and Relaxing, Riverside
7
Eventually the location is bit far from the city hot spots (average 5km to China Town, Shopping area at MBK, Siam etc), however the taxi fare is reasonable around THB100...peak hours may not follow the fare meter but asking fixed rate at THB200-300). Hotel provides free shuttle "Tuk Tiuk" to the nearest sky train station every 30 minutes interval. Overall is still ease in transportation.
The room design is satisfactory with modern furniture and LCD TV, the bathroom is little small.
Hotel front desk staff are friendly but lacking of initiative by introducing more features of the hotel to the travellers, it could be the reason of too busy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is located along the riverside, traveller may optbfor the boat rides from the hotel to some attractions places like Temples, river city shopping malll etc.

Good. Basically, everything is okay. But one thing is it is far from ฺธฆ Station. Not easy to walk. And the hotel is located quite good position from the central city though.

great value hotel!
reasonably priced, great room, and shuttle service solves the location problem
8.7
i was surprised by how much value my family got out of this hotel. it's not one of the most expensive hotels in bangkok, but it has a large pool, a great view right by the river (right across from shangri-la), free wifi, a really big room with an xbox and a king-sized bed and double-decker bed (i don't know if this is standard for all rooms). i initially was worried about some reviews on this site and other sites that service was bad, but didn't have any problems with this. i also like the restaurant system, where you can order "value-priced" sample platters that let you sample several thai dishes. i was also worried about the location (it's not in a touristy area) but the hotel's free shuttle to the skytrain station is very reliable. too bad breakfast wasn't included in my package.

This was value for money hotel but the location is so isolated. You pay for the taxis and bts so it's the same as staying in the city center. So few choices on restaurant. You need to be full before goin back to hotel. The coffee shop has bland food. Not recommended at all. There's comp shuttle to bts but coming back is a problem. The service was bad too, one time, we waited for 20 min for the shuttle to leave. The front desk people were not friendly at all. They were anxious of their work. The room was spacious but the toilet was too tight if they expected a family to stay. I wouldn't go back to this hotel. Was just forced since we were a big group and was hoping to get a good deal.
Shopping Tip:
Go to Asiatique, it's nearby but tricky on how to go. It's because it's on the other side of the river. Research on how to go and don't rely on the front desk.

a nice hotel with excellent service staff
shuttle to the bst sky train, typical ibis flair, very good service, new: free wifi on the room
8.7
It has an excellent view on the river and a big pool is nice to have with the hot season.
The special offer for lunch and dinner is very good. The shuttle to the sky train is great.
Next time I will book again the ibis riversice hotel.
