took a few days to arrange a second room key Although, not so modern, Imperial Tara is generally a nice hotel all round.
Less than 5 mins walk from Phrom Phong BTS station, puts it within 20 mins of the shopping and nightlife in Sukhumvit and Silom. But still in a quiet area.
The east facing pool area is nice to relax in the morning and early afternoon. But is shaded by the hotel building from around 2pm, not good if you want to get a tan.
The restaurant cafe serves good food 24hours, and the breakfast buffet has a good selection to choose from.
Nightlife Tip : Plenty of restaurants and bars along soi 24 (within 10mins walk) and soi 33(within 5 mins walk), so no need to wander to far for food and drinks. Very handy if you are still feeling a bit jetlagged on the first night.
