New room has very nice design.

Very expensive internet charge. Better to stay at other hotel if need internet access.

This hotel is one of the best service hotel in Bangkok with this price. Very easy to access the shopping mall Emporium and skytrain station. Easy to go to Siam square area for new shopping district. Very nice swimming pool and spa. 24 hours room service is very helpful for busy business trip or even holiday trip. New renovated room has very good design and clean. Internet access fee is very bad expensive. Need pay 50% more room rate for internet access only per day. Not good for business trip even holiday trip with laptop PC. Internet charge makes loosing customer of this hotel but hotel never understand it. Big noise from the hallway with kids screaming and play around 11pm. Claimed hotel but they never do nothing. Kids stayed playing hall way until midnight with screaming.

nice room, good breakfast, nice people that works there

SPA was very bad, very grumpy woman that works there she did not like customer it looks like.

I can recomend this hotel for families,(it is absolute Family-friendly), or for thoose who likes to have quiet nigts in Bangkok. There are good breakfast, nice staff, it is not fare from shopping areas. It is not expensiv, you got mutch for the money at this hotel.

Nice hotel. Would need some improvements. After that a four-star hotel. Only one restaurant open. No mangos or mango juice available although mango is always in season in Thailand.

Travel tip : Surely excellent for business people. No night life. Skytrain near. Fine for our personal purpose of the trip (privare, near our friends).

Warm service, specially the reception staff. Good value and easy access to BTS

The hotel is old but nevertheless well maintained

The front desk staff and supervisor were efficient, warm and welcoming. I arrived early in the morning and without any hesitancy they gave me an early check-in. I was seated for the check-in process which took no longer for me to finish a cool welcome drink. Soon after entering my room another great drink, a fresh coconut this time, followed and was most refreshing. Everyone was eager to assist and show me the way. There is no denying that the hotel has been a round for a while, but its remains well kept, clean and comfortable. The amenities are standard but what can you ask for $48 a night. No more than 10 minutes walk takes you to the nearest BTS station which connects you to everywhere you want to go in Bangkok. Good shopping and the Japanese shopping enclave is also just around the BTS station. A park is nearby too if you want a stroll.

Shopping Tip : check out the Japanese shops at the streets near the Phrom Phong Station and the second hand bookstore on Sukhumvit. Also the DVD shop at the Phrom Phong Station--it has a lot of new Japanese movies for a good price.

Good room size, location close to skyline, general facilities - pool good size

Appearance a bit dated, internet access expensive, shared balcony

We stayed at the imperial tara on 2 occasions and were generally happy with the happy with the hotel. We chose to spend most of our time in the city centre as there wasn't much to do in the local area. It is close to the skytrain. We would stay here again if we came back to Bangkok.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If coming from the airport then get a taxi as it is only fractionally more expensive than the bus

Great Location Friendly staff Clean and comfortable rooms Good views from rooms

slightly dated decor

Our stay at the Imperial Tara was very brief, only one evening. We found the hotel staff to be incredibly friendly, the rooms to be clean, comfortable and with nice views. The hotel was walking distance to many shops and restaurants so there was plenty to do and see in this area. This hotel was a good value for the level of service and attention that it provided.

Great pool - great for swimming and sunning. The staff is very helpful, and the quality of the rooms and common areas is very good. Location is excellent: Only 2.5 blocks from the Skytrain, which is the best way to get around the City (which has horrible traffic gridlock everywhere). (Be sure to get the 10-20 ride pass; or the daily pass for 120 baht) 10+ Thai massage (reputable) establishments within 1 block.

The restaurant is okay, but not fantastic. I was not incredibly impressed by the local eateries, but many great restaurants are only 1-2 skytrain stations away.

A very nice hotel. Pretty, with some nice gardening, an unusually good gym/health club, and an exemplary pool. The staff was great on our recent trip. We first stayed at the Sofitel Silom, which is a very nice hotel too, but the Imperial Tara cost 1/2 as much even though Tara has a better location (closer to Skytrain) with many superior amenities (e.g., the gym and the pool). We will definitely stay at Tara on our next trip to Bangkok, and will recommend it to our friends.

Shopping Tip : Be sure to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning at Chatuchak weekend market, and the Suan Lum night market. Both are next to Skytrain or MRT (subway) stations, and both have thousands of booths/vendors.

A good location for BTS and shoping, very fiendly and helpful staff.

No real bar area to relack in althought you can get drinks in the coffe shop and lobby area. This is a quite hotel not for people wishing to party.

Good value, stayed in a delux room, getting a little old, but was very clean,Breakfast was ok with an acceptable range of foods for all palets eastern and western, will stay there again.
