Good service , spacious, nice pool Dated decor , no free internet, location away from party area in Sukhumvit RD. Horrible view from room window over slums.Rip-off hotel taxis at entrance. Cheaper is taxi-meter taxis. A welcoming air conditioned lobby , with service aplenty , bags carried to room , secure lift access with room card , nice big king sized bed, and roomy bathroom, plenty of TV channels to surf , even an English speaking movie channel, lovely omeletes at breakfast, excellent room cleaning service with fresh towels and water daily.
Shopping Tip : The markets opposite are the cheapest shopping anywhere , it is from here other shops buy wholesale , so bargain for a reduced price for more than one item.

Well located in busy area close to all major shopping getting a taxi to the aitrport took too long and we nearly missed our outgoing flight We booked into this hotel based an personal referals. The hotel is adequate for the price. The hotel is one of the older Bangkok hotels and shows signs of its age. The hotel is well located to all major shopping and malls. There are a number of local eateries close by.

good location, near to shopping malls the bathtub was clogged in my room First of all, Indra regent is quite competitive in terms of price and location, Its just a walking distance to all my meetings in Platinum and the best part is near central world plaza and paragon, I dont need to take a cab going there considering the rush hour.
The staff are very courteous from the front desk to housekeeping.
Its my 3rd time in Indra and will stay again this August 2009.

Friendly staff and close proximity to the many shops and stalls in the Pratunum area. Rooms could do with some fresh air occasionally if possible I have stayed at this hotel many times, nearly every time I am in Bkk, and my review is still the same. I find the staff friendly and competent whenever I am there and they always make me feel at home. It is a popular hotel and I think that speaks for itself. The location is excellent for those who love shopping.
Shopping Tip : get up early one morning and check out the street stalls set up from about 4.30am until 8am, wholesale prices on clothing.

location, cleanliness, service and comfort expense of in-house food and beverage This was about our 6th time at the indra and as usual we loved it! Although some of the rooms are showing their age, they are maintained spotlessly and the service is impeccable. In house food and drinks are extremely expensive by bangkok standards though. If you enjoy shopping this is the place to be as it is close to many markets (Pratunam, etc), siam square, world trade centre and pantip plaza for electronics etc. Highly recommended.
Shopping Tip : Search the small soi, or streets near the hotel for clothing etc much cheaper than at the weekend market!

convenient - near to wholesale markets, hotel exterior looks old, but interior is good. behind hotel building is stretch of massage palours. convenient and good. exterior of building is old. good location and value for money. Affordable and prime location to all major shopping centres. easy to get taxi however, alot of massage palours nearby. wholesale centres just beside hotel. walking distance to most areas. Also, its a renown hotel so most taxi drivers knows where it is. no communication problem. conditions of the hotel room is clean, spacious and good. hotel breakfast is decent and a reasonable spread. hotel linked to indra square shopping mall where fast foods are just a throw away. Accessible and value for money i recommend this for a affordable hotel in bangkok.

Terrific breakfast, friendly service and staff very helpfull good location clean neat rooms I would highly recommend this hotel to all we were dissapointed that it was the low season and the buffet was not open for dinner this hotel has it all great location walking distgance to many big shopping centres market just outside the front of the hotel friensly staff clean rooms and the omlet chef at breakfast is just the best

Near the shopping centres - good breakfast - a healthy way to start the day. Clean and comfortable. We had a leak in our room and didn't sleep a wink! Thank heavens it was just one night. We always stay at the Indra Regent whenever we go to Bangkok - like 3 times a year. It is practically situated - all the wholesalers are around and since we do go on business trips it's pretty helpful. The staff is great - always friendly - since we do most of them from over the years of being at the hotel. There is easy excess to taxis and tuk tuks - but I did notice that the Tuk Tuks are becomming more expensive. And do beware of coupon day -- that's the day when the Tuk Tuks would take u to one of the expensive places - like the Thailand Gem factory - so that they could get free coupons! Then they are cheap. Some drivers won't hesitate to ask for 200 Bath for a short drive!! The taxi are more comfortable and air-conned and they charge by the meter - so u do end up paying less for u're trip! Otherwise Bangkok is a lovely place with really nice people! I had met with very honest people - they have this thing about honesty -- hope that last cause it was always great working with the Thai people.
Restaurant Tip : There is a variety of food around Indra Regent and the good thing is that most of them are Halaal. So the muslim visitor won't find it hard to eat a good meal.

hotel getting old, and gym equipment needs upgrading The Indra Regent Hotel is a place I have visited for many years, and enjoy because it is in the heartland of good shopping.
The traffic is a bit slow, but then that is Bangkok.

The location of the hotel The staff members are not friendly and price is expencive compare to the service. At first arrival at the hotel main entrance no body helps you carrying the luggages. the reception staff were not friendly. Rooms were not within standard compare value to money.

Fantastc location, great staff but a lttle costly when it comes to eating and drinking at the hotel. Markets located directly infront of the hotel make shopping very easy. Loved my stay here!
