Probably quite swanky twenty years ago. All a little bit dated and tired. Room not made up and water replenished after night one (Of two). Poor reception on tv, restaurant expensive for average food.
Breakfast very good on fourth floor terrace and the lobby area is very nice. Same cannot really be said of the adjoining Indra Square market and pushy tailor within the lobby area.
Handy enough for the airport, 5 minutes walk from Ratchaprarop Station (30 minutes - 45Baht) on new train line.
Would probably seek better value elsewhere next time.

A bit old looking but really suitable rooms.
Great breakfast, lovely pool and cheap cocktails at happy hour. Location is superb for markets.

I've stayed at the Indra a few times over the years and it is a safe bet. Don't use their hotel taxi, more than twice the cost to go to and from the airport. The rooms are big and clean and adequate, big bath and lovely bathroom. Breakfast is buffet. We did get a charge on my mastercard when I left but was promptly removed when I emailed reception. Never did find out what it was for. The markets are all around the Indra, sadly for my boyfriend, but these are great for tshirts, shoes, glasses, watches, phones etc. There's a food mall next door on the 3rd level, you have to buy coupons with. We prefer to eat at restaurants outside which are a little hard to find in this district. Good stay though, wil stay again.
Shopping Tip:
Do barter along the streets of the markets, prices will halve.
