expensive but clean and watch for being charged extra for things that go missing. anyway I didnt like this hotel.

service needs more attention.

we strayed 5 nights, the first night the smell in the hotel wasn't very nice. the views are good clean rooms lots of tv channels.breakfast was very nice if you're aged 45 to 70 you'll love it. if its your first time to bangkok learn some thai it will help you.

Shopping Tip : shops are just down stairs you can't miss them. plus the sky train is just a mins walk.

This was the third time we stayed here in five weeks

The small tea cups and lack of TV diversity

Enjoyed all our three stays here. The hotel was handy for what our needs were. Next time perhaps we may stay down in Chinatown area. Hovever there are masses of markets and a big department store only 300 metres away. Easy getting around. Only 300 baht from airport so that is reasonable. Hotel staff fine. Just did their jobs nothing more but thats all we required of them. Breakfast okay -

Proximity to shops

Price of Singha at Pool Bar

Recently stayed at Indra Regent again. Great location but they still haven't increased the size of the tea cups. Breakfast is a typical buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Beware the rip off cab drivers outside the hotel. Tuk tuks were fine and cheap but always take longer than you think because they ask to take you to shops so they can get free petrol vouchers. So add on at least 15 minutes for each trip. Shouldn't cost more than 300 baht to airport. Make sure you have correct money!!

location,

the drink prices are far too expensive in all of the hotel bars this is why nobody hardly uses them.

this great old hotel is ideally situated in the heart of old and new bangkok ,ideally located to the indra square markets the pratunam markets ,the world trade shopping centre and the sky train.the rooms are clean ,the staff are very friendly and always willing to help you.the hotel restaurants have very good food service.the buffet breakfast is very good, has a good range of different foods for everyone.and the hotel is well serviced by taxis and tuk tuks.

Travel tip : always use a metered taxi to the airport much cheaper than the hotel ones.

The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, especialy the bellboy. Chambermiad are quick to response and are polite.

Being a frequent traveller to Bangkok and Indra Regent being my favourite hotel, i stay there whenever i am there but the breakfast is always the same, after almost 2 years. Not much of variety and these days i don't even take their breakfast, perhaps cost of breakfast can be excluded from the room-rate, like it used to be. Perhaps, there could be more english speaking channel.

For anyone who wants to be in the Pratunam area, i would recommend Indra Regent Hotel over Biayoke Suit and Sky cause its just next Indra Square shoppinng mall and the lobby is at the ground floor which makes it easier when you have so many thinhs to carry from your shopping. Over and above, it just next to the main road which makes taking taxi and traveling easier in the ever heavy traffic in Bangkok. Biayoke are further in from the main road, thus making it difficult to get taxi and get out at times.

Shopping Tip : Thai people are nice and friendly. Don't bargin unless you are really keen to buy and if its just 50bht to 100bht don't bargin. They need to make a living too and its only less than a dollar in your currency.

Location Location Location.... it doesn't get any better - everything is at your doorstep. Great customer service Clean rooms

None

Can't even remember how many times I stayed at the Indra but it's quite a lot. Always enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are big and clean. This time I actually booked a studio room and they actually upgraded me to a better room on a high floor for free. The location is fantastic - the best shopping centres and markets at walking distance. I'll surely stay at the Indra every time I travel to Bangkok. I highly recommend it.

Hotel is in a good location for shopping,

The drinks at the pool bar were exspensive, the rooms were a bit small.

The hotel Staff were pleasant and very helpful. The morning breakfast was good, plenty to chose from and met all your needs, the swimming pool was very clean and the bar pool was open till 2am, Ideal location for shopping and markets, massages. The room we were booked in was only a standard room was very small, we only stayed one night l would not like to much longer in that small room.

-In the heart of the action - Markets close by. -Breakfast is 5 star with wide variety.

- Non peak season and staff were not as welcoming as other places we stayed at. -Rooms could be updated

We enjoyed our stay because it was not crowded due to off peak season although we expected the staff would be a little more relaxed and friendly towards their patrons probably would not stay here again as there are plenty of choices to choose from. There is also no in-house entertainment. The bars in the hotel were empty at all hours.

Right in the busy shopping area, so one can just wlak arround for a good birgain. Brakfast spread was good.

Driving to hotel taxi may be at times irritating as the trafics are very slow.

Wanting a hotel in the "hub" of Bangkok, we were not disappointed. Within a short stroll to most restaurants, shopping centres and transport, we found this hotel excellent value for money. Older style, however, clean, roomy and friendly staff. Will definately go back.

Comfortable beds hot showers and great service

really nothing

mAfter spending 5 weeks in Nepal we Looked forward to friendly service hot showers and lovley meals, We have stayed several times before and always make for the Indra Regent. It is in walking distance to most markets and shops and the Baikoye Tower around the corner where you can go up to 84floor and have a great meal ans see all over Bangkok.

Travel tip : as above the Baikoye Tower and Indra markets which are air conditioner right next door with good shopping.
