My second visit to Key Bangkok Hotel. Overall a great place to stay, central location near ASOK BTS station (2 minute walk), short taxi ride to other places.Decor excellent.Only breakfast could be better(limited choices). Will stay again.

Location,hotel amenities,great rooms.

Small compared to a lot of other 4-5 star hotels. Breakfast.

The nice neutral decorations in the bright reception provides a friendly, cosy, welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The doormen (there was at least one per shift) were ever attentive and would be sure to open doors, help with bags, etc. Reception was also very friendly and helpful. Even though there was only one lift I found it to be sufficient, without too much of a wait. As I have an Asian taste I was happy with the Congee for breakfast, however I did try the continental breakfast one morning and found it a little disappointing. Overall I am happy enough with this hotel to want to stay again.

I like the location of the hotel; very close to Skytrain, Robinsons, taxis, and entertainment places. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and it made my stay quite relaxing. I was given a deluxe room which had windows so I was quite glad to be able to see daylight. Appointments in the room were adequate. The bed was comfortable.

Lack of a restaurant meant having to eat outside the hotel, however there were a number of nice restaurants just outside e.g. some very nice japanese restaurants. Rooms should have better noise-proofing as I could hear a couple in another room down the corridor getting intimate.

  • Shopping Tip : Robinson department store is good value for quick shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories. From Asoke Skytrain station, head to Chitlom which is 3 stops away for some more great shopping.

close to asok bts nice big bed friendly reception

shower head too low ok if you are 155 cms tall very basic breakfast served in bedroom

Great small hotel. Very smart and new. Free internet in foyer is basic and can not get printed downloads. Rooms are small but well appointed with DVD/CD player. Not a place for family. Man stains on bedding but was fixed when brought to their attention. Bad oversight of cleaner. Great key ring swap offer.

Location

No food

  • Nightlife Tip : Soi Cowboy for new visitors is eyeopener. Always smile.

Having stayed at a five star resort just before arriving at the Key Bangkok we weren't expecting much, however, we were pleasantly surprised by not only the decor but also the friendliness of the staff and the size of the room. The hotel is located just five minutes walk from the sky train which is extreemly handy. Shops are all around and food is readily available. If you want a posh night out, we thoroughly recommend the Long Table on Soi 16, just across the road.

Very central, close to everything, very nice service.

Great location but we had an internal room (gold key room) so no outside air/window/view therefore a bit claustraphobic and a bit musty on arrival. Plus, for the health and safety conscious, not sure what would happen in the case of a fire! The instructions were to 'stay in room and await rescue' but as you keep your key card with you, would anyone know you were there? Comfortable bed and a small kitchen area. Expensive for what you get but, you are paying for the fact that the BTS (skytrain) and MRT (metro) is on the doorstep plus, being next door to the Westie!

Friendly staff, great location, small kitchen area

I like staying at the key bangkok because it is close to the bars and there is plenty of good massage parlours close by. I also like it cause the room is cheap and there is a good air con machine and there is a mini bar. There is a bath tub and shower and it works well. Very easy access to the BTS sky train and also very close to Sukhumvit.

Easy access to the airport and just a stones throw away to all the bars and entertainmet.

I would like to be able to pay for a half day, from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Is this possible? No restaurant.

  • Nightlife Tip : Get yourself to Lisas massage parlour over the road from the key.

The Key Bangkok is a very well designed and decorated although the lobby is very small, it's quaint and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The free use of the internet on the one laptop hotel computer in the lobby was a great service. The hotel room was impeccable and beautifully designed. If you are there on business it's a great place to stay but, if you wanted to bring home a companion for the night expect to pay a "house" fee to the hotel around 800 baht. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and strangers. In fact, I will be booking my room there on my next trip in Sept 2009.

Interior Design of hotel, lobby, floors, rooms.

No breakfast service, noise level of people talking outside/inside their rooms are very noticeable, no view from room window.

My friend and I have been making our biannual Bangkok pilgrimage for many years and we used to stay in various hotels such as Asia Hotel and Siam Heritage. However we find that the Key Bangkok Hotel is so far the best due to its friendly staff and convenience. There is a lovely professional massage center just across the road and a convenient store at the junction. If you like shopping, Robinsons is just next to the hotel. In fact, we will be coming back to this hotel again soon. Hope to see you guys there. Sawadee krab.

Very near to the Asok BTS Skytrain Station and Sukhumvit MRT Station. That means you have access to all the wonderful places that Bangkok has to offer guests. Clean and chic. The air inside the hotel is so fresh due to the special humidifier placed all over the hotel. The staff is very helpful and efficient.

Not many tourists attraction within walking distance, but then, with the two transport stations so close by, who needs to walk?

  • Hotel Feature Tip : The most interesting feature of this hotel is you can choose your breakfast from a menu and have it delivered to you every morning to your room. The good thing is that the staff are so intuitive that they seem to know what you want to eat the next morning. Fantastic and great. Kudos to all staff in Key Bangkok Hotel.
