Inexpensive, good for BTS transport. Clean room withe fridge and A/C but minimal international TV. The WIFI was free and handy. Friendly staff.
Nothing for the tourist in the neighbourhood, except the resident convenience store. Take out dinner on our way back in the evening was the treat at night.
This was a second stay in a month. The rooms, beds, linen and towels are clean and of better quality than most hotels. However our room seemed to be visited by those tiny ants. Some kept us company at night and must have gotten hungry.judging from the welts. No bed bugs. We just kept it clean. Other than that, since we wanted to take the BTS to BTS/Siam (35 BTH per) and J2J (40 BTH per) it worked. The problem was getting our night meal (take out on our way back to the hotel).The price reflects this disadvantage
Unfounded concern may be, but we made sure that the taxi driver that first delivered us from the airport would pick us up at 3:30 AM on our way back to the airport. It worked, as it did for the previous stay.
Shopping Tip : Use the BTS and the river ferries. They make up for the location cons. It beats using the road transport pollution, traffic jams and noise.

Clean room with balcony. Friendly staff. Good location for the price.
We needed to stay in the riverside area on a budget. This place was what we needed. Not very many cab drivers knew where it was though. Close enough to the river to get anywhere you need to go.
Hotel Feature Tip : Get a map or directions in Thai before you go.

The hotel staff is very friendly, the room is nice and clean, big room, has a bacony and beautifull window view, at nite when you laying bed relax have a beautifull city view.
Need to ferry to another side of river for main shopping
This hotel is very good at locate, it's take 15' minute by bus to main night shopping which is Silom. or 10 minute walk to ferry for 1 bath to another side of the river and you can enjoy the small shopping, which have flee market Robinson shooping mail ( Like Myer), KFC and Mc Donal, Pizza etc.. or few Thai food stall.
The hotel location is qiute convinient, it's has a bus stop at both side of the road. which can take you to the Zoo or to big shooping mail such as Silam. If yo uwant to use the Taxi best ask the Hotel staff bargain the price for you, they are vey friendly and helpfull. The best thing of this hotel is they have a washing machine and only cost 30 bath, you can wash your cloth and hang out side at the back yard of the hotel.
Shopping Tip : take the map at the airport,or study at home don't use the travel agency as they not much help and charge a fortune. Because the word is total difference we can't write down , best is take the picture of the street, bus or train station and show it to the local people to get direction

near Krung Thon Buri skytrain station, quite.
not beside the main road, not easy to find, far from business area, not easy to find a place to change money
room is large and clean. Price is acceptbale. Staff is freindly but most of them doesn't speak good English. It is similar to the 7-day inn in China but the standard is a little bit lower. Anyhow good for a short stay.
Travel tip : when the reservation is made, Agoda should give the detailed address and telephone number of a hotel. Telephone is very important!!

Truly more value than money spent.
king royalii was really a royal class treat against the money spent. we hand good large room with all the facilities on top 12th floor with a bangkok view.ideal location for bus, ferry , and rail(krung thorbury station).grat staff. always ready to help reception, and the breakfast personal served the food with smile and charm with taste. the owner of the hotel was down to earth , to help us excess bangkok and explore more.chears if i get a chance again i shall come and stay here...
Restaurant Tip : Pure vegetarian indian food is available near silom road at hotel thali.bus is available near to the hotel to reach there in just 11 bath. Food is excellent and reminds the actual taste of indian food. Ferry terminal is very near to excess bankok via ferry do use that for tourist destination.travelling by bus and ferry with skytrain is really easy comfortable and safe& much more convinent to pocket than taxi.

Inexpensive, Clean and a 7 minute walk to the Skytrain, good wifi and terminal in bland lobby.Good natured folks running the place. For an old fashioned building, it's kept clean. Party and have your meals on the mainland before crashing for the night
Located in a neighborhood that is ho hum and devoid of the eateries, services and atmosphere budget tourists are accustomed to. You have to head to them across the river by boat or Skytrain. Isolated from mainstream tourist areas.
The front desk folks are refreshingly warm and friendly and they clean the rooms daily. The rooms are bland basic,the beds when done are a crispy white clean and towels are thick and new. OK tub, foam bath liquid instead of soap, but shampoo and conditioner is included. I'd stay there for the Skytrain to go shopping and if rock bottom is all I can afford
The only drawback is that they did not include breakfast when we booked. They do now , but their website gives you no idea what you can expect for breakfast. The neighbourhood is quiet "nothing to do" like. No restos close by, except the convenience store if their packaged snacks and food is to your fancy. No night life close by,that a budget tourist expects.
Travel tip : Think of this as a bedroom hotel with the very efficient Skytrain station around the corner to take you the sights and all three meals.

good location close to the skytrain station and the river, very nice staff, cheap rooms with aircondition, cleaned every day, TV coffe-making facilities, bath tube, shampoo, conditioner, bodylotation which you get every day, silent rooms with no noises from the construction place, internet and a nice fitness centre
slow internet connection. Taxi drivers are having truble finding the hotel.
This is definitly the best hotel I have stayed at in Bangkok. very nice staff who even shared their food with us. The rooms are spoacious, cleaned every day with lot of equipments and the high floor rooms have a fantastic view over the city. There is a 24h supermarket next door and public transportation is very close to the hotel. In contrast to other reviews here, the hotel does now offer breakfast for 59 bath per person.
Restaurant Tip : Try the small food stall you across the hotel, they speak limited english but have very good and cheap food and are very nice and friendly people.

The staff is quite friendly and helpfull as much as they can. The rooms are clean and big and cheap. It is funny to take the boat cross over the rive to Saphan taksin station.
This hotel is perfect for the low cost and extremtly budget tourists or local people. I dont like the smell at the lobby. The smell is likely the death bodies or rats in some corners. There was not enought warm water if you want to take a deeply bath. There is not easy for taxidriver to bring you to the hotel at all. They dont know where the hotel is and never heard about this hotel
I will not be back to this hotels, there are several of hotels offer a very good prices if you go to AGODA website to see everyday. I am glad to move to other hotel after staying in KING ROYAL 2
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to the Saphan Taksin and get on what you want to secure your travel trip, there is not much to see and buy and enjoy around this hotel. The staff is okay but there is not many PC to check email here, After I have arrived they began to install the wireless internet without my request. Nice and friendly is unique Thai character. You will feel at home with Thai people

Good location and near to BTS station.
Needs to improve on pest control. Too many large cockroaches in the room.
The hotel was very diffult for taxi drivers to find. Needs to have better directions. Maybe the street address was wrong. Suggest that the booking form from Agoda needs to have a phone number of the hotel so that they can be contacted for directions. On the taxi from the airport the driver had to stop several times to ask for directions. The hotel location was convenient. Short walk to the ferry across the river or to the BTS station. The main complaint about the hotel was the number of coackroaches everywhere. Also there was not any good places nearby to have breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is only a short walk to the ferry across the river (near the Pepsi factory).

* Good staff
* Good spacious room
* Close to transport
* Few people seem to know its location
* Out of trouristy area
Good hotel with good friendly staff. Stayed every time with them once had general understanding of BKK. 5 min walk to pier at Sapan Thaksin. Sky train was under construction; but maybe ready by the time you read this. About 20-30 mins from Silom area. Area seemed quite safe, even at night. Just familirasie with the transport system.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the boats to go to most tourist attractions

Clean large rooms, free wifi, polite and helpful, close to town, great price.
Not a lot resturants locally, no room service or breakfast. no cable but really who cares. hard to find hotel to begin.
I had a suite, really good price clean large room not a lot of decor but everything you need, roadside restaurant across road is ok,7/11 downstairs, 50 to 60 baht into silom rd and markets and nightlife, i stayed on after my booking and hotel matched the booking price i paid, this place is a gem and i have stayed in many hotels over the years in BKK. and although it hasnt the sparkle of the more expensive jobs if you are planning a longer stay here in the city then this place is spot on.
Travel tip : Difficult hotel find at first, head down silom, follow over Taksin bridge,first turn left Charoen Nakon rd, another left and another at the next corner Sakor something there are 7 identical buildings next to one another on your right diff colors but hotel is just past these on other side of road.

Excellent value, good location when you've gotten the hang of it, fridge, free bottled water, free internet in lobby
No restaurant, concierge, or extra features whatsoever. Difficult to find for taxi drivers
We stayed here for a week, and ended up coming back later. It's not in a very touristy neighbourhood, but the location is pretty good - just a short ferry hop from the Saphan Taksin Skytrain station. When the BTS is extended, the location will be even better. Best of all was the price - this hotel IS two star, but consider if you really need three star service. If not, this is a great option and good value.
Restaurant Tip : Just across the river, near the BTS you'll find a big Robinson department store, but also a small market, complete with food stalls. Dirt cheap thai food, but so good!

- a bit away from touristy areas
Staff was friendly and accomodating. Needed to change rooms due to construction noise, moved rooms without issues. Staff also was friendly in providing some local knowledge and in general assistance. Just had to go out to eat - unfortunately this good hotel does not have a kitchen.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : go to the pier for furhter transport

Spacious room with modern fixtures. Air-conditioned and (mostly) quiet. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Inexpensive.
Warm water from shower only (no warm water from sink). Not much to see in this impoverished neighborhood. Most food is to be gotten from street vendors (though usually delicious and cheap).
The ThongTa Resort & Spa, as a kind of island facility unto itself (fortunately, it does not mirror the neighborhood that surrounds it, where street vendors and flea-bitten dogs are everywhere), is absolutely outstanding for its luxurious rooms and friendly & helpful staff. I loved it here...especially for the price when booking with Agoda. Rooms are spacious, have all the most modern fixtures, are
air-conditioned (oh how important this is in humid Thailand) and immaculately clean. A nice basic breakfast (egg, ham, toast, orange juice and coffee) is also included each morning. And, if you want a cheap, hour-long Thai massage, it's only about $12. Now, although Floor 2 and above have balconies, they look out upon shanties and store roof tops, or in my case, on the rather extensive, housing-construction project going on seemingly interminably next door. (Workers were there through the weekend (Feb. 6-8), sun up to sun down.) Personally, I could not have cared less, as the rooms are so nice. But to those tourists/travelers who want a room with a view in this exotic/romantic country, ThongTa ain't it. ThongTa, as you probably have heard by now, is meant for those who just disembarked from a long international flight and want to crash at a hotel near the International Airport, about 3 miles away. ThongTa offers a luxurious room at a great rate, plain and simple.
