I cannot think why anyone would complain about this hotel.
OK, it's not brand new anymore, but the furnishings and fittings are well cared for and clean. The air-con and TV work well and the TV has 10 channels in English. The bed is huge, and comfortable, and the bathroom, sheets and pillows are spotlessly clean.
The staff seem to outnumber the guests and all speak reasonable English, some excellent.
The buffet breakfast is great, and starts at 0530 for the early risers.
The gym is basic but functional, and there is a sauna and spa and massage. The pool is immaculate.
The karaoke bar is quite expensive, especially if you want female company, but the Terrace bar and Lobby bar are very reasonable and friendly, and serve free snacks with drinks.
The hotel is out of the way but not remote. 5 minutes walking to Seacon Square, one of Bangkok's biggest shopping malls, and 10 minutes from Seri Centre for the bargain hunters.
30 minutes and 120 baht by taxi from the airport, 20 minutes and 75 baht from On Nut BTS Skytrain station.
The street outside the hotel is alive with noodle shops, bars, and 7/11's, and everyone smiles.
Best of all, there were only about 3 foreigners staying, so you are surrounded by happy, smiling Thais.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tour guide in the lobby (Hello Yao) provides excellent personal tours in air conditioned comfort.
