Great location for people who like the night life.

Walls and carpeting are to be desired. The beds are way too hard and you can tell that they didn't pay too much for the mattress.

I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand and this one rates as average in my book. Unfortunately, the staff appear to be a little inexperienced and are quite short in the way they speak to customers. The location is good, entry into the QBar is free if you stay at the hotel. The rooms are basic and if you are able to get a good rate and just need a place to crash it's OK. If you are looking for comfort and good R&R this not the best choice. The restaurant has enough seating but the lounge with the high chairs is left to be desired as the seating is also quite limited.

Nightlife Tip : Bed Supper Club and QBar are on the same street.

The fitness facilities were great, and the room was lovely, quite spacious, clean and trendy. Also one of the best bathrooms ive seen seen in bangkok albeit compact.

Even though the hotel was quite new, its appearance was somewhat run down. The corridors looked dirty from all the marks on the floor and walls. The hotel rooftop bar- which was the selling point for us was having a function the night we visited and the staff were too pre occupied with that as opposed to making us feel welcome.

I chose 'le fenix' hotel for its boutique and modern appearance, inside the bars were well kept and as were the rooms. But we felt that the corridors and reception area was a bit run down and in need of some tlc. The staff however were very friendly, especially the porters who could not do enough for you. The food was good value for money. Overall an enjoyable stay and a great location on soi 11, where there are plenty of amentities and a sky train station.

Good Location, Great Beds, Clean, Gym. oh... not that its important to everyone, but no Joiner Fee.

Bit of a walk from the main road, but not too bad, and they have a tuk-tuk service in the daytime.

Its a great hotel, and if you get the rates with the QBAr entry, thats already 500 baht or even more sometimes per person saved. The pool and gym are nice to have in BKK when there's not a lot to do in the daytime besides shop and see movies. the rooms are great... hotels great... Staff's really nice.

Nightlife Tip : Nothing in BKK is great til midnite... and then you'll need to ask around for the after-hours bars.

Friendly staff, cool overall look

Needs a bit of upkeep oir renovation. Alot of chips and cracks here and there.

An okay stay. Probably wont stay there again unless there is renovation work done. Cool ambience, but with Citadines and other new/nicer hotels around, doesnt make sense to stay here again. If your looking for no frills and can get a cheap rate, why not.

Modern interior design, Friendly staff, Direct lift access to room from street, Free Tuk Tuk to BTS, Free entry to Q Bar Nightclub, Small Pool to cool off

Bad internet setup, basic rooms a little small, loud aircon (common in Bangkok), Long walk from Nana BTS (if hot or raining)

Stayed at the Fenix for 3 nights and was overall happy with the hotel based on price . Design of the hotel is very chic and sexy, modern and looks great at night. Staff are friendly and speak good english. Free Tuk Tuk to BTS is great but Soi 11 gets very bad traffic congestion so some times quicker to walk. I don't understand people complaining about rooms looking old or bad showers - both were fine in my opinion. My only complaint is the internet offered. Wireless is slow, charged per hour. You get 2hrs free upon check in but this is only ONE session so if you login to check email for 5 mins your 2hrs is gone - why? Also found my per hour charges a little off (rounded to hotel's favour of course). If you don't care for net access then you'll be fine, but I know many people like me need and want cheap realiable net access for emails, booking trips, flights, etc. With so many new boutique hotels popping up around Sukhumvit Le Fenix will have to work hard to stay competitive.

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't forget the free Tuk Tuk to BTS if traffic is good!

Smart, Modern, Clean, Good Restaurants. Nice Rooms with Comfortable Beds/Bedding and Plasma TV’s

Location is not the best for walking from or in general. Wi Fi signal usually was very weak or did not work. In house mini-bar/bar and restaurant slightly pricey. Swimming Pool is poor.

Le Fenix Hotel is a ‘modern chic’ style hotel – with very friendly service from polite and efficient staff who speak good English. However, it is poorly located for walking to local amenities as the roads are potholed, busy and crowded, making it dangerous both during the night and day. Moreover, most taxi drivers take advantage of this by refusing to turn on the metre. However, for a short stay Le Fenix is ideal for singles who wish to be close to the entertainment area – and is very good value in terms of price to facilities on offer.

Travel tip : Dont use the taxis outside the hotel unless they agree to turn on the metre

good location with restaurants and bars near by. Nice looking hotel, reasonable fitness room and small but clean pool

although the hotel has a funky 'L' theme throughout, this doesnt work quiet so well on the bedroom windows as it means the windows are quiet small and in some cases the sunlight streams in and reflects on the tiled floor first thing in the morning making it impossible to sleep off the previous nights excesses. If you are going to party hard as for a room on the reception side of the hotel where you dont get this problem. NO FREE INTERNET (2 hours gratis) - come on this is 2009

This is my second stay here so I guess that says something in itself. It is a nice hotel although the room rate I took didnt include breakfast and if you are buying it seperately you can get better for the same or less elsewhere. It strikes me as a real young persons hotel with lots of action on the roof bar and in nearby areas, but having said that there was absolutely no noise or disturbance of any kind in the rooms so ok for those who prefer a quieter stay. Very friendly staff Why oh Why no free internet (after 2 hours gratis no matter how long you stay). In this day and age it should be there along with the towels and the tv as a standard feature

Nightlife Tip : buy your beers in the 7/11 opposite as they have a better selection than the mini bar and are a fraction of the price

I really loved the location of this hotel, its in Sukhumvit, but at soi 11 is a little isolated, its also below Nest bar and across the road form Q bar and Bed Supper Club. The price is fantastic for central bangkok and it is also very clean. The rooms have a nice style and do not look dated

Would have liked a bigger window, the 'L' concept gets tiring and the pool is a little small. Other than that for 1500 a night you cannot go wrong

I liked this hotel having stayed at the Dynasty Grande before, I though the location was good and the hotel very clean with excellent staff. Facilities are good with a gym and small pool. The location below Nest and near bed supper club and Q bar is great as is the general location near the arab quarter. I would stay here again and recommen the hotel no problems.

Location is very convenient, accommodation price is reasonable, Tuktuk service is very helpful

toilet accessory are not enough (balance, hair dryer..), no door shower cabin is not convenient, eight floor rooms are noisy in the evening, some room maintenance should be check every time such as the cabinet light was difficult to switch off during sleeping time

Overall I like your hotel. So, I stayed many times already and I used to recommend to my friends. In my opinion, I think your hotel is more suitable for young people. Few weeks ago, I booked rooms for 2 couples-friends. The young ones were happy & satisfy, but the eldest one said that was not so good though other friend. I think it is because they use to stay in the standard which provide everything in bathroom, menu has more variety food, no windows... In my opinion I think you can provide more accessory in the rooms mentioned on sale if you think providing so will increase the room rate. Around a month ago, you had upgraded to me to a upper class room. I feel the difference, you provided extra things such as ipod speaker and aroma shampoo and bath gel. I think you must describe well in your room rate list what you provide in different standard room. I know many of them like to have child care service and DVD reader. Though some forum I heard that many people complained the no door shower cabin. It really no very safe of eldest people.

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff friendly and efficient.

Had to walk through resturant to access room.

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff friendly and efficient. There was very pleasant decor through the hotel and it looked like it was regularly maintained. On arrival the reception staff were very good. They offered to fix an issue we had with not having a voucher for the booking. Our room was nice. It did not have a great view but we didn't require one for the time we were spending in Bangkok, which was mainly sightseeing and shopping. The doormen were good, they would usher taxis or Tuktuks for us and were also very friendly. Had to walk through resturant to access room. All up it was a nice hotel in Bangkok with satisfactory room and close to Sky Train and transport.

Hotel Feature Tip : Close to Sky Train station at Nana.
