Please be informed that since the hotel is set right up on the Chao Phraya river and during this period there is the highest level of the tide from the ocean as well as recently, the country is facing flood problem in the North and Central. So, combining between the highest level of the river and also the flood from the North and Central surging down the river, this caused some overflow of water into some areas of the hotel.
Currently, for an hour or two when the tides are on its highest level, there is a slight flood on the 1st floor balcony and the walkway at the main entrance, however the living areas is still safe.
The hotel would just like to caution the guests and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please note that this hotel operates exclusive contracts with other vendors to service specific markets and thus these rates do not apply to nationals of Thailand. We apologize for the inconvenience. Avoid at all cost if you appreciate poolside cocktails and impressive hotellobbies, cause there aren't. As a total package of Thai hospitality, authentic decors, magnificent views on the river and quiet ambiance the Loy La Long is unsurpassable. You truly feel at home here.

I loved the fact that it was so unique, in the corner of a temple, on the water. The décor was so artsy and the attention from the staff was one on one. The price was great, they even sent someone to the store for me when they ran out of shrimp on a dish I had ordered. The whole experience was exceptional and I would not stay anywhere else in Bangkok having experienced this place.
